Their daggers were aimed at Adam’s wings and throat, while the earth assassins slammed their palms on the ground again, this created jagged stone spikes that shit towards Adam like a barrage of spears.

And from above the leader disappeared in a flash of blue light as lightning was cracking around his body, he reappeared right behind Adam his sword being raised high.

Adam just smirked at their attempts.

He didn’t even try to move from his spot, he just tilted his head slightly, as his golden reptilian pupils were tracking every movement they made.

The first assassin appeared right in front of him.

He said as the assassin leader was hurled towards the ground with bone-shattering force.

The leader slammed into the ground, as a crater formed on the ground because of the impact.

The other assassins were trying to regroup, but they knew it was hopeless each attempt they made ended in the very same way.

Their wind enhanced blades were shattering against his scales, the stone spikes they conjured crumbled before they could even reach him.

And even the leader, he used lightning strikes but they were dispersed easily against his draconic mana.

Adam was like a phantom when he passed through them, he was calm, efficient and also unstoppable.

Every slash was met with a parry and all of them knew he was just playing with them, with the power he demonstrated so far he could easily defeat them.

One of the earth assassins moved back as he stumbled, he was clearly panicking.

“T-this can’t be! This wasn’t in the information!” He shouted.

The leader was gritting his teeth as blood was dripping from his lip.

His eyes were darting to his belt, there was a small black vial that was glimmering faintly.

“Tch, I have no choice.” He muttered.

He snatched the vial, and he crashed it in his palm swallowing what was inside.

The effect was almost immediate, as the ground shook with dark lightning erupting from his body and his aura was surging explosively.

His power was double than what it was before, veins were glowing red beneath his skin. His eyes were turning crimson as he roared forward, lightning was tearing through the trees.

“DIE!!”

He shouted as he appeared in front of Adam with a burst of speed, faster than he was before.

Each of his strikes were heavier, and more sharper as the ground was cracking with each step he took.

But Adam didn’t even try to block the attack, he just made a sadistic grin.

The blade shimmered, as lightning was crackling around it. The leader slashed the blade across Adam’s chest.

Nothing happened, not even a single scratch. The leaders eyes widened in shock at what happened.

Adam met the leaders nervous and furious gaze as he smiled faintly, his expression calm but terrifying.

“All that thrashing and hollering, took an enhancement pill and your still this pathetic.”

A big shockwave occured as the leader was flung towards the ground, his nose broken and coughing a mouthful of blood.

The assassin leaders sword shattered, his armor came next and finally it was over. His body was frozen mid-motion, and he was encased in crystal ice.

Adam just snapped his fingers as the crystalized ice shattered instantly into countless fragments scattering across the floor in the forest.

All the other remaining assassins stumbled, they were all trembling, they knew death was near.

“M-monster!” Shouted one them.

“R-retreat!” One of the assassins screamed.

Adam’s eyes just glowed faintly as his looked at them over his shoulder.

“Too late.”

Adam swung his tail once. The sheer force of the tail swing created a ripple that tore through the air itself.

It sliced through all the other four assassins in one single motion. It was clean and silent.

Their bodies started to disintegrate into just mana dust before they hit the ground.

There was silence in the forest, the only sound was the constant flap of Adam’s wings as he still remained and hovered above the ground.

His body descended to the ground as his wings started to retract, all his draconic features started to fade slowly.

“Assassins huh? I wonder who it is, bet it’s my ex-stepmother.” He muttered.

He then glanced back to the forest entrance as the city lights was flickering before his eyes.

“Well…” He murmed below his breath, his voice was low, and cold. “Seems like it’s time I stop playing nice.”

While he was still busy reflecting on what had happened, a familiar chime rang in his head.
