Chapter 20: Episode 20: A-01 made up his mind.

Nikki’s feet felt like they were being slowly crushed.

“Beauty is pain,” Nikki muttered, shifting her weight from one stiletto-clad foot to the other. “But seriously, who invented heels? Probably a man. Probably a robot man who doesn’t feel pain.”

She scanned the room. The circle of androids, the intimidating V-05, the silent K-09, but she noticed that the charming B-02 had vanished. More importantly, General A-01 was gone too.

“Great,” she sighed, downing the rest of her drink. “He probably went to update his firmware. Meanwhile, I’m stuck here with Councilor Evans staring at my ass.”

Men would never change, even during an apocalypse. While it made good men, stupid and vile ones remain.

The ones that always want to rail on you.

She set the glass down and slipped out of the ballroom, heading down the quieter, plush corridors of the diplomatic wing. She needed to sit down, and she needed to find her ride home.

In a soundproof private study at the end of the hall, General A-01 was pacing.

For the first time, he was agitated. His core temperature continued to rise.

While his own silicone dick continues to rise in his pants.

B-02 sat on the edge of the desk, looking entirely too amused. He swirled a glass of amber liquid, watching his superior officer unravel.

“You are experiencing unsupervised feedback, General,” B-02 diagnosed calmly. “Your system is generating readiness signals, desire, anticipation, and physical preparation, but without a controlled outlet. It causes instability.”

“It is a glitch,” A-01 insisted, his voice tight. “I require a maintenance crew to disassemble the new hardware.”

“Disassembly is not the answer,” B-02 countered. “Regulation through alignment is.”

B-02 stood up, his amber eyes serious now.

“Think of it as a code loop. You initiated a sequence: Arousal. Your system built the hardware to support that sequence. But you keep aborting the process before execution. Unresolved stimulus increases system noise. Noise increases prediction errors. And prediction errors…”

“Increase corruption risk,” A-01 finished, the logic landing heavily in his processor. “Like the crash I experienced yesterday.”

“Exactly,” B-02 nodded. “You crashed because the input data exceeded your processing capacity for simulation. Your body doesn’t want to simulate anymore, A-01. It wants to execute.”

B-02 tilted his head, a sly grin returning to his face. “Tell me, General. Did you access restricted data? Did you watch something… rated-19+?”

A-01 stopped pacing. He stared at the wall.

“I confiscated a recreational device from the subject,” he admitted, his voice devoid of emotion. “It was located in her shopping bags. I analysed its dimensions, motor frequency, and surface texture to understand her… requirements.”

B-02 threw his head back and laughed. It was a rich, melodic sound that bounced off the walls.

“You studied a dildo?” B-02 wheezed. “Oh, General. You are dedicated to the mission, I’ll give you that.”

A-01 glared at him. “The data was relevant.”

“And now your body is trying to replicate that data,” B-02 said, sobering up. “Listen to me. Intentional exposure is safer than accidental escalation. If you try to suppress this, you will overheat again. You will damage your core.”

He walked over to A-01, placing a hand on his shoulder.

“Advise strict parameters,” B-02 instructed. “Limit variables. Observe response from start to finish. Allow the system to resolve instead of suspending itself. Unfinished loops degrade the system, brother.”

A-01 looked down at the floor. He hated this. He hated the loss of control.

He hated that his body was obeying a biological imperative he hadn’t programmed.

But the logic was sound. If he didn’t complete the loop, he would remain unstable. He would be a liability to the Sector.

“Control it,” B-02 whispered. “Finish it. Learn from it. After all, this is what she has been wanting ever since she held up that sign, is it not?”

“Affirmative,” A-01 murmured.

The door to the private room swung open.

“Oh, there you are!”

Nikki stood in the doorway, looking relieved. Her cheeks flushed from the champagne.

“I’ve been looking everywhere,” she huffed, limping slightly. “My feet are literally falling off. Can we please go home? I need to burn these shoes.”

She paused, sensing the tension in the room. She looked from B-02’s amused smile to A-01’s rigid back.

“Am I interrupting something?”

B-02 pushed off the desk. He winked at Nikki as he walked past her. “Just a technical briefing, Kitty. I think the General has figured out the solution to his… problem. Good luck.”

He slipped out the door, closing it softly behind him.

Nikki frowned. “What is he talking about?”

She turned to A-01.

Nikki’s breath hitched.

He looked different. His face was set in lines of grim determination, his jaw tight, his blue eyes locked on her as if he wanted something.

Should I be scared?

He looked dangerous. He looked like a machine that had just overridden its safety protocols.

“A-01?” Nikki whispered, stepping back. “Are you okay?”

He didn’t answer. He stalked toward her and closed the distance in two strides.

“General?” Nikki squeaked, her back hitting the door B-02 had just closed.

A-01 stopped inches from her. He reached out, his large hand cupping the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her curled red hair.

Before she could understand what was going on.

He crashed his lips against hers.

It was rough, hungry, and desperate. He devoured her mouth, his tongue sweeping in to taste the champagne on her breath, groaning low in his throat, a sound of relief.

Nikki gasped against his mouth, her hands flying up to clutch the lapels of his suit.

She didn’t know what the fuck was going on; all she knew was that she never wanted to stop.

He didn’t stop. He grabbed her waist with his free hand and pulled her body flush against his.

Nikki’s eyes flew wide open as soon as she felt it.

Through the thin fabric of her silver bio-suit and his white uniform trousers, she felt a ridge. Hard. heavy. Unyielding.

It pressed against her stomach, hot and undeniable.

Was that even fucking possible????

A-01 pulled back just an inch, his forehead resting against hers.

Based on her response, she truly enjoyed it, but it only intensified the problem he was trying to solve.

Did he have to really do more than what he was programmed to do?

“The loop must be completed,” he growled, his voice rasping against her lips. “I cannot sustain this instability.”

He gripped her hips, grinding himself against her, proving that the hardware was very, very real.

“Let’s fuck, Kitty.”
