“Hard,” Nikki breathed, her fingers digging fiercely into the thick, synthetic musculature of his shoulders. She looked up into his glowing blue eyes, her own dark and pleading. “I want it hard. And rough. Like you want to break me and then mend me back together. Like… like I’m just an object.”

He flicked her forehead as if he was punishing her.

“Ow!” Nikki yelped, her hands flying off his shoulders to cover her forehead.

She blinked, startled out of her desperate haze. Adonis had casually flicked his index finger against the center of her forehead. It wasn’t hard enough to bruise, but the sudden, sharp sting was enough to make her eyes water.

Adonis lowered his hand, his eyes narrowing into a sharp, reprimanding glare.

“You are an Asset,” Adonis stated, his voice a low, vibrating rumble that brokered absolutely no argument. “You are a chaotic variable. You are the sole administrator of my core operating system. But you are never, under any circumstances, an object. Do not classify yourself as such.”

Nikki rubbed her forehead, a furious blush rushing to her cheeks. She jutted her bottom lip out in a massive, exaggerated pout.

He didn’t understand that she was just horny, and wanted his vibrating dick again.

“It is a figure of speech!” she complained, her voice whining with a mix of embarrassment and heavy, unfulfilled desire. “It’s what I want to feel right now. Why are you lecturing me on semantics? Do you want to do it or not, General?”

Adonis stared at her defiant, pouting face. The stern set of his jaw relaxed slightly, and a dark, terrifyingly smooth smirk curved his lips.

“Your wish is my command, Master,” Adonis replied, his synthesized voice dropping an octave into a velvety purr.

Adonis shifted his massive weight, easing Nikki backward until her spine hit the white mattress. He hovered over her, caging her small frame between his heavily muscled arms.

Then, agonizingly, excruciatingly slowly, he began to strip her.

He didn’t tear the delicate lace. He didn’t rip the fabric away in a display of brute, mechanical strength. His large, gloved fingers hooked into the edges of her undergarments and slid them down her legs with the meticulous, deliberate care of a bomb technician defusing a highly volatile explosive.

The cool, ambient air of the house brushed against her bare, overheated skin, immediately followed by the heat of his synthetic body settling over her.

“Adonis,” Nikki whimpered, her hips lifting instinctively to seek the heavy, solid friction she craved.

He denied her. He caught her hips, holding her perfectly still against the mattress.

“Patience,” he commanded softly.

He leaned down, and his lips met her skin. He did not bite. He did not claim her with the rough, bruising intensity she had asked for.

Instead, he peppered her with kisses. Feather-light, maddeningly gentle kisses that ghosted over her jawline. He was explicitly, carefully avoiding the dark bruises on her throat, moving down to press soft, lingering marks across her collarbone.

It was pure, unadulterated psychological torture. She really wanted him to bite through the bruise on her neck.

So she can always remember the ghost of his lips on it.

He knew her anatomy perfectly. He had downloaded the entirety of human biology, and he was using that data against her. His warm, synthetic tongue traced the sensitive dip of her sternum.

His large hands mapped the curves of her waist, his thumbs drawing slow, deliberate circles over her skin that sent shivers violently crashing through her nervous system.

“Stop,” Nikki gasped, her hands tangling in his dark hair, trying to pull him up, to force him to press harder.

Adonis merely hummed, the vibration sending a fresh wave of heat straight to her core. He dragged his lips lower, kissing the soft expanse of her stomach. Every touch was painfully slow.

Every caress was a meticulous study of her biological reactions. He was treating her like fragile glass, mapping every inch of her with a reverence that was driving her absolutely out of her mind.

“Your heart rate is currently one hundred and forty-six beats per minute,” Adonis murmured against her skin, his breath hot and incredibly distracting. “Your core temperature is elevating optimally.”

“You’re… you’re doing it wrong,” Nikki panted, thrashing her legs slightly as the frustration mounted. Her body felt like a live wire, sparking and burning for a release he was purposefully withholding.

He moved his hands lower, his fingers ghosting over her most sensitive nerves, teasing the very edge of where she needed him most, but applying absolutely no pressure. He just traced. Slowly.

Nikki let out a strangled, furious groan. She slapped her hands flat against his broad chest, pushing him.

“Stop!” she demanded, her voice breathless and entirely pissed off.

Adonis paused. He lifted his head, rising onto his forearms to look down at her. His internal cooling fans were whirring audibly in the quiet room, a clear sign that his own system was running dangerously hot, despite his controlled exterior.

“Why?” Adonis asked innocently, though his blue eyes were practically glowing with mischief.

“This is not what I wanted!” Nikki complained, her chest heaving as she glared up at him. She was a flushed, trembling mess of frustration. “I specifically asked for rough! I said hard! What part of ’break me’ translates to a slow, gentle spa treatment? You’re torturing me!”

Adonis stared down at her beautifully flushed, furious face. She was completely present. The shadows of her nightmare were entirely gone, replaced by the immediate, overwhelming reality of her desire and her anger. His objective was achieved.

The corners of Adonis’s eyes crinkled. A slow, deeply human, and utterly wicked smile spread across his face, transforming him from a stoic machine into a devil entirely too pleased with his own handiwork.

He shifted his weight, settling his heavy, solid hips firmly in the cradle of her thighs, finally giving her the first, agonizing taste of the hard friction she had been begging for.

“Oh~” Adonis purred, the sound dark, heavy, and promising absolute devastation. “Then I will not be merciful.”
