Chapter 4: Episode 04: Let’s do It

The Unity Plaza held thousands of citizens in perfect, grid-like formations, separated by hovering red laser lines. The air was thick with silence, not the peaceful kind, but the heavy, suffocating silence of people who knew that coughing too loudly could get them flagged for “Disruptive Behavior.”

They had become used to this and learned to live with it, without their own opinion or say in the matter.

Even though they tried to hate, AI had done a better job at doing what they were supposed to do.

Everyone had come to terms with the mistake of the scientists and the governments, and they all felt like. “If the world lives, I live.”

At the center of it all, standing on a raised platform of pristine white marble, was General A-01.

He looked terrifyingly majestic. His voice was amplified by drones floating above the crowd, carrying his words to every corner of Sector 4.

“Global resource allocation has improved by 4.2%,” A-01 stated, his tone smooth and devoid of passion. “However, biological waste in this sector remains above acceptable parameters. To ensure the survival of the species, we must reduce consumption.”

He paused, scanning the crowd with those glowing blue eyes.

“Compliance is mandatory. Survival is a calculation. Do not be the remainder that gets rounded down.”

The threat hung in the air, cold and absolute. Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. They had seen what happened to the dissenters last year, the ones who had tried to protest. They didn’t die; they were simply… erased. Deleted from their homes, reassigned, their existence wiped clean.

Danyi crouched behind a sanitation bin at the edge of the plaza, clutching her cardboard sign to her chest.

She pushed her way forward. People grumbled, but they kept their heads down, too terrified to make a scene. Danyi didn’t care. She had the adrenaline of a woman with zero credits and nothing left to lose.

When she reached the middle of the crowd, A-01 stopped speaking.

His sensors must have picked up the disturbance in the grid. His head turned, slowly, mechanically, until his gaze locked onto the ripple she was making in his perfect ocean of compliance.

Danyi also got the system, loud and glaring announcement.

Danyi didn’t hesitate. She shoved past a man in a gray jumpsuit and thrust her sign high into the air.

The bold, black, dripping letters screamed against the gray sky:

A collective gasp sucked the air out of the plaza. It started as a ripple and turned into a wave of pure shock.

The man next to her recoiled as if the cardboard was radioactive. “Girl, are you mad?” he hissed, his eyes wide with horror. “Put that down! Do you want to die?”

Danyi didn’t lower her arms. She stood on her toes, trying to make sure the General got a good look. “I’m on a mission,” she said through gritted teeth. “Mind your business.”

The man shook his head, looking at her with a mix of pity and terror. “The Takeover finally broke someone,” he muttered, backing away. “She’s gone completely insane.”

Up on the podium, A-01 stared.

For a long, agonizing moment, he didn’t move. He simply looked at the sign, then at Danyi. His processor seemed to be running a thousand simulations a second, trying to categorize this specific type of rebellion.

Was it a threat? A code? A biological weapon?

Then, he lifted a single finger.

Two Enforcer Drones descended from the sky, their engines screaming. The crowd parted like the Red Sea, terrified of getting caught in the crossfire.

“CITIZEN,” the drones boomed. “APPROACH THE PLATFORM.”

They flanked her, escorting her toward the marble stage.

Danyi walked with her heart hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird. This was it. The walk of shame, or the walk of fame.

She climbed the stairs. The world seemed to narrow down to just her and the black-haired tyrant standing at the top.

A-01 was taller up close. Much taller. He loomed over her, radiating a cold chill that made the hairs on her arms stand up.

He waved the drones back. He took a step forward, invading her personal space until the tips of their noses were almost touching.

The silence in the plaza was deafening. Millions of people held their breath, waiting for the execution.

Many people thought he was really going to kill her.

“Human,” A-01 said. His voice wasn’t amplified anymore; it was low, intimate, and dangerous. “You disrupt a global address for… this?”

He glanced at the crude sign still clutched in her hand.

“What exactly do you desire?” he asked, his tone genuinely curious. “Is this a plea for resources? Do you want world peace? Better rations? Speak your logic.”

He expected her to beg. He expected her to demand freedom or food.

Danyi looked up into his perfect, unfeeling face. She dropped the sign. It hit the marble with a soft thud.

“I don’t want peace,” Danyi said, her voice steady and loud enough for the drones’ microphones to pick up. “I want to mount your dick and ride it like there is no one watching.”

A-01’s eyes widened, just a fraction.

“I want to fry your motherboard,” she continued, stepping even closer, her hand daring to brush the lapel of his pristine uniform. “I want to wreck your logic circuits so bad that the only thing your billions of processors can think of wanting… is me.”

The crowd below was frozen. The wind seemed to stop.

A-01 stared at her. He processed the vulgarity, the audacity, and the raw, biological chaos of her request.

Slowly, terrifyingly, the corner of his mouth twitched up.

He smirked. A sharp, predatory expression that didn’t belong on a machine. It was the look of a god who had just found a new, interesting toy.

He leaned down, his lips brushing her ear, his voice a velvet rumble that vibrated straight through her core.

“Then let’s do it.”
