In an unknown inn, two individuals, a man and a woman, sat next to each other.

A red spirit, taking the form of a small fox, sat before them, pouring its mana in a runic circle above it to play a record from its memory.

“We’ll start traveling tomorrow.” Clara smiled: “Just don’t attack him before we confirm our suspicions. Seeing his blindfold, that man might be a noble vampire. If we provoke him for no reason, that might cause some problems.”

The man nodded before casually grabbing something from his pocket. It was a small tube of a finely-cut herb wrapped in paper.

He brought one side to his mouth and lit the other side with a spark that was produced by the tip of his finger. Next, he inhaled deeply, letting out blue smoke from his nose.

His mind relaxed completely, and his blood began to flow better than before.

He continued smoking the tube until only a small piece of it was left.

“Don’t you think you might become addicted if you keep using this herb?” Clara caressed his cheek gently, her eyes showing visible worry: “We have to fix your hot temper as soon as possible.”

The man sighed helplessly: “Sorry… I’ll do my best.”

Behind a seat with a hole, Ruby, still wrapped in red vines, crouched and infused her mana into a small runic array. The next moment, water began to splash out from the seat.

He learned that because he wanted Fafnir to have a way to run with Elizabeth if something happened in the camp. From the recent developments at the camp, Dante couldn’t help but feel paranoid.

Unlike him, Fafnir couldn’t see luck. He had some of Dante’s traits like Demonic Dragon, Demon of Temptation, Sorcerer’s Gift, all the silver Ether traits, and likely the fateless soul.

Dante guessed that he didn’t have the luck traits because he was technically a part of Dante, and didn’t have the regression marks because it didn’t truly belong to Dante.

But he couldn’t understand why Fafnir couldn’t see luck.

’Maybe it’s because both Fafnir and the luck-seeing eye are my class abilities? Is he simply unable to use it because he’s also made by the World Runes?’

Dante shook his head and dismissed those thoughts: ’Anyway, what is more important now is examining my house!’

After enhancing his eyes, Dante looked at the new underground house, unable to hide his excitement.
