Anastasia smiled: “Because when I was in a similar state, I felt like it’d be nice to have someone to talk with instead of a voice in my head.”

“And I was right. After arriving here, I found a messenger who was a bit close to my father. His name is Braham, if you remember him. Speaking with him helped me to recover, so I’m trying to do the same thing with you. I’d have been depressed all the time if not for his efforts.”

“Don’t you feel better to talk with someone who isn’t trying to harm you?”

“You are harming yourself, and you are wasting the efforts of the messenger who is trying to help you recover from what was done to you! Were his efforts meaningless for you? Don’t you care about his feelings when he sees you shaking like that?”

“I…” Anastasia listened to him with wide eyes, realizing that she hadn’t thought about it that way before.
