As Cyreth fell, he stomped on Angelus’ head, driving it deeper into the ice ground. He pulled the young star out of Angelus’ skull and started to fill his flesh with perpetual wounds.
“You can’t escape me, rodent.”
Cyreth dodged another explosion before shooting the monster with a crimson orb. It penetrated his flesh and melted the snow underneath him.
Angelus regenerated and then tried to crawl back into the water. Cyreth grabbed his tail, stopping him in his tracks.
Then, holding the lizard’s tail, Cyreth jumped with an overwhelming power that it slightly pushed the whole island of ice down into the ocean. His hand was still wrapped up around Angelus’ tail, so using the momentum from his jump, he tossed the fallen angel into the sky.
That force broke the sound barrier and possibly the air molecules in its path. Angelus immediately severed his own tail to avoid being hoisted into orbit.
While Angelus was falling back into the water, he saw his severed tail go into outer space. It didn’t stop, neither air resistance nor the gravitational pull of the earth slowed it down. His severed tail traveled at unimaginable speeds into outer space and straight to the ominous crimson star.
That could have been him.
Once he lands on the igniting surface of the crimson star, there would be no way to leave. He will continue to burn there for all of eternity.
In the middle of dreading this thought, he saw Cyreth’s smiling face. Angelus fell underwater and even there Cyreth followed him with an excited grin.
Angelus swam deeper. Faster. He summoned explosions to block Cyreth’s path but the god was somehow not slowing down even when swimming.
Instead, Angelus also had to dodge the burning crimson orbs being shot at him. Angelus evolved once more. Now, he took the form of a giant octopus that could adapt the colors of his surroundings. It wouldn’t help much against a god but the fallen angel needed every advantage he could get.
The giant octopus crept into the caves to try and hide but Cyreth busted right through the rocks and corals. Cyreth threw another crimson orb which decimated Angelus and then waited for his body to form itself again. And once it did, Cyreth tackled it and swam upwards with a speed that cut the waters. When they emerged, the surface rose like a mountain before breaking in a glorious, crow-like splash.
They were rising higher and higher into the dark sky. Angelus knew that if Cyreth were to toss him into other space, there would be nothing he could do.
So, he endured that worst possible pain he was about to feel. He used his own muscles to cut himself into smaller pieces which fell back down one by one.
Cyreth clicked his tongue watching the stubborn angel’s pieces of flesh fall back down to the ocean.
Angelus shifted his consciousness to one piece of flesh and then regenerated from there. He successfully crashed into the water surface and Cyreth had no choice but to chase him again until…
While Angelus was trying to get away, something gigantic held his entire evolved body.
A smirk tugged at Cyreth’s lips.
He stopped moving and let himself fall down to the water. Then, he swam and floated normally in the ocean.
Nessilum’s upper half emerged from the water like a floating island. She raised one hand above the surface and showed Cyreth the giant octopus that she caught.
“I got him for you, Dheinyrus,” she casually said.
“Well, thanks,” Cyreth replied.
When quantum explosions blew up on her face, Nessilum thrashed around in pain and annoyance.
“You fucker!” she exclaimed before repeatedly bashing Angelus’ body against the surface, stopping the explosions.
Cyreth propelled himself from the water to Nessilum’s shoulder where he stood and looked at Angelus who was squirming pathetically, trying to escape Nessilum’s grip.
Then the fallen angel spoke.
“Please! Don’t put me there!”
Cyreth and Nessilum looked at each other. The god laughed.
“Oh? Why should I listen to you?”
Angelus stammered.
“I… I won’t try to kill Oneirah anymore. I won’t destroy the planet anymore! Just please don’t trap me into that star.”
Cyreth scowled.
“And you expect me to believe you. Do you think I’m stupid!?”
“I swear, I’m telling the truth!” Angelus cried.
“Yeah right,” Cyreth chuckled before turning to Nessilum.
“Toss him up with all your might.”
Nessilum tilted her head, confused. Nevertheless, she did as Cyreth said.
She loaded her arms backwards and then, like a gigantic catapult, tossed the evolved demon king into the sky. Cyreth jumped into the water before kicking against it and launching himself up with an even greater speed than Nessie’s throw.
The atmosphere became thinner as they reached a higher point. They could even feel the gravity growing weaker. They were beginning to enter the Earth’s orbit.
Suddenly, Angelus transformed back to his original appearance. A child with a terrifying corrupted face.
Angelus looked at Cyreth pleadingly.
“Don’t do this to me,” he said.
Cyreth didn’t give a damn.
He grabbed the Demon King by the shoulders and spun violently. He was spinning faster and faster with Angelus at the edge of the momentum and then—
With a perfect aim, Cyreth used every ounce of strength that he had to launch Angelus out of Earth’s orbit. The Demon King couldn’t even fly against the force Cyreth threw him with and kept going towards the crimson star.
Cyreth watched as Angelus’ frame became smaller and smaller as he approached his creation. The closer Angelus got to the star, the faster he would travel and thus, the harder it would be to stop his own movement.
That was exactly why Angelus was now on his way to be imprisoned forever inside the first crimson star’s core.
He streaked across the vacuum like a comet with no way of stopping. But even then, the fallen angel instinctively used dark magic to fly and propel himself in the opposite direction. Of course these all proved to be futile.
Angelus fell into the crimson star and became engulfed in its eternal flames.
