Chapter 71: Night Date
Two souls stood under the moonlight. Dhein’s heart raced and pounded so hard that it was all he could hear.
His hands didn’t know where to go, so they just hung there while his body stiffened.
It was surreal. He had never felt like this around any other woman.
While clinging onto him, Shina tiptoed so that her lips were closer to his ears. Then, with a thin, seductive voice, she whispered softly:
“You can touch me however you like.”
Dhein’s neck tingled at her warm breath. His heartbeat went on overdrive but he heard her loud and clear.
She smelled very nice, like a scent of fresh flowers. Her body felt so soft and fragile, that he had an overwhelming urge to just embrace her…
…to devour her.
He wanted to see more of her, hear more of her. He craved for more. It was something insatiable unless he gave in to what his body wanted to do.
’So… this is…’
His hands moved on their own. Shina gasped when he touched her by the waist.
’…Lust.’
He squeezed her, feeling her warm, soft skin in his hands. From there, it felt like he lost all control and his body just moved as if it had a mind of its own.
Dhein pulled Shina closer, even lifting her to bring their faces towards each other. The girl also pulled herself up using her arms around the back of his neck.
Composure went straight out of the window. All he cared about in that moment was satisfying his unstoppable urges. And the fact that he was free to do as he pleased added to the intensity of that feeling.
His right hand traveled up to Shina’s back while the other firmly squeezed her waist. As their faces inched closer, Dhein closed his eyes.
And even though he couldn’t see, he felt her face in front of him. Her breathing to his chin, and her beating heart against his chest.
There was no way he could stop.
’Yeah… No way in fucking hell.’
He touched her face and then their lips crashed onto one another. Her softness continuously ignited his thirst.
The feeling was unbelievable. Her heavenly lips were like magnets that helplessly attracted his. If it weren’t for the need to breathe, he wouldn’t have let go.
After two seconds of catching their breath, Shina wasted no time and pulled his head to aggressively kiss him again. His mouth and tongue automatically moved, finding ways to taste her more and more.
It was a feeling like no other — it was as if their souls were merging. For the first time, Dhein felt so connected to another human being as he experienced what might have been the highest and purest form of intimacy.
For a moment there, he didn’t care about sins and divinity. His body screamed that he wanted her and it drowned all logic and morals. Before he knew it, his hands were moving lower and lower behind her.
As his hands were about to wander somewhere they shouldn’t, reasoning suddenly kicked in.
He stopped and as soon as their faces broke apart, he immediately pulled away.
Shina was gasping for air, looking at him with asking eyes.
He was catching his breath as well. For a few seconds, no words were exchanged between them.
Then, Shina spoke.
“That was unbecoming of me. Sorry, Dheinyrus.”
When his breathing had become stable, he responded.
“It’s the same for me. This isn’t the appropriate time or place for such acts, especially for people like us.”
Embarrassed, Shina scratched her cheek.
“Yeah… I just… wasn’t able to control myself.”
A cold wind suddenly blew from the sea, causing Shina to brace herself with her arms.
“Brrr!… as expected, this outfit isn’t the best during nighttime,” she muttered.
Seeing her tremble in the cold made Dhein chuckle faintly. It’s quite adorable if he does say so himself.
Sighing, he took his dark green trenchcoat off and put it on Shina. It looked oversized on a girl like her, but it was still pleasing to look at, for some reason.
“Feeling better?” he asked.
She silently looked at his coat that was now on her. Gently lifting the fabric, Shina closed her eyes and smelled it absentmindedly.
Dhein just confusedly watched.
Then, she looked up at him and answered:
“Much better.”
A smile crossed his face.
“There’s some interesting places in this town,” Dhein stated.
“Since the night is still young, do you want to get out of here and explore?” he asked.
Shina raised an eyebrow and said:
“The locals even prepared this festival for us. Don’t you think that would be mean?”
Dhein looked at the warmly lit party in the distance and then laughed.
“This is just speculation, but I think that was just an excuse the locals made to hold a party,” he said.
“Look at them. They didn’t even notice we were gone.”
She laughed also before agreeing.
“Alright. Show me around.”
With that, they got off the beach and stepped into the smooth stone platform. The first shop they visited was a sandal store. Shina wore a pair of thin golden sandals before they explored the town.
Though quiet and empty, the streets didn’t feel lonesome with the distant music playing at the beach party. The moonlight along with a few torches chased away the darkness too.
They visited parks, some food stalls, bought souvenirs and talked with some locals. Hours had passed and it really did seem like no one noticed their disappearance. And they realized that the festival reached as far as this place. The whole town was celebrating!
Everything almost appeared as a haze. Dhein felt sort of lightheaded and the details eluded him, but what clearly registered in his mind were Shina’s smile and laughter the whole time.
When it was getting late into the night, the two got back to the divine tree. Everyone got into their respective hotel rooms and slept through the night after the party.
They all woke up the next morning only to party again.
