“Richard. It looks like a prince’s name.” Her eyes were wandering over my name.

“I’m not like that. I’m just a regular adventurer. I don’t have any noble title or bloodline. Fortune and lands are things that I don’t have either.” I said to her.

“It’s not what I meant.” She closed her eyes, with her hands folded in front of her chest. “There are some things that money can’t buy and are not given to you by birth. Not everyone would help someone in need against armed men.”

I don’t know why, but I felt more talkative around her. Maybe it was her calm personality that made me feel at ease to talk. “Well, not everyone is well equipped to do that. I’m not some kind of hero, but if it’s within my reach to help someone, I don’t see why I wouldn’t.”

“Fufu, Richard. I think you didn’t notice it yourself. You’re funny.” She said with a smile. It was good to see that she was doing ok after getting attacked.

“Oh, I didn’t ask your name?” I asked her, pretending to be curious. I already knew her name, but it would sound weird to call her before she told me.

She stopped laughing, and for a short moment she avoided my eyes, but then she told me. “Alicia. My name is Alicia.”

’She didn’t tell me her full name. Well, it was expected. She was a noble being persecuted. If I were her, I would be very cautious about telling this to a stranger, even if this stranger saved her life. I would do the same thing.’

“Huh, no, nothing. I will accept it.” She said this, but her cheeks were still red.
