Chapter 70: Freya

“Welcome to my palace, Richard Forster,” Freya said.

The goddess of love and war looked down at me from above. After a long flight of ivory-white steps, she was seated upon her golden throne. I recognized her the moment I laid eyes on her.

Her beauty was astonishing. She had fair, flawless skin without a single mark. Unlike her statue in the Lost Temple, her face wasn’t covered by a veil. Her eyes were as blue as the sea, and her white hair was styled into two buns on each side of her head.

Her body was wrapped in an alluring sleeveless white dress that outlined her sculpted figure, and her large breasts were accentuated by a beautiful V-neckline.. The dress exposed her gorgeous legs, with the sides open showing part of her tights.

I quickly bowed, remembering that I was in the presence of a divinity and did not wish to provoke her displeasure. “Lady Freya, to what do I owe the honor of standing in your presence?”

The goddess let out a soft laugh. “Fufu, you don’t need to be so formal. I just want to talk with you, so please stand up.”

I did as she said, though still somewhat hesitant, my eyes scanning the place where I stood. I was no longer in the forest. I should have been accustomed to magic in this world by now, but I still felt a flicker of shock when I realized the forest where I had fallen asleep was gone. In its place stood a vast and sumptuous throne hall, luxurious enough to be worthy of royalty. In this case, worthy of a divinity.

The ceiling of the chamber was high enough to accommodate an airplane, and along the hall, countless pillars stretched from the floor all the way to the top.

However, it wasn’t that the forest had disappeared, but that I had been transported to that hall. Or at least my soul had. I looked at my hands, which were almost transparent, to the point that if I focused hard enough, I could see through them.

“Is this your first time having an out-of-body experience?” Freya asked me.

“Y-Yes, Lady Freya,” I replied.

“You don’t need to be so tense. Consider this a friendly meeting. You can call me Freya,” she said with a cheerful smile.

“I see. Freya…” I said to her, still hesitant. “Is there any particular reason you summoned me here?”

“A friendly meeting?”

“Yes.”

I sighed, letting go of my nervousness. This kind of summoning happened to Leo in SSS-Class Ragnarok Legend. In that story, Leo asked for her guidance when he didn’t know what to do in a difficult situation. That wasn’t my case, but if I could convince her to give me more Valkyrie slots, I might be able to turn Erina and Justine into Valkyries without a problem.

“To start with, you’re enjoying this life. In this world,” Freya said with a playful smile on her face.

“So you know, huh?” I asked.

“I am a goddess, so of course I noticed. I know a few things here and there about your world, but the reason you came here is still strange to me. However, that doesn’t matter for now. What I want to know is whether you’re enjoying yourself.”

“Why are you so interested in whether I’m enjoying myself or not?” I asked, finding it strange that a goddess would care about something like that.

“Because you are a very peculiar man. It’s rare to find a human coming from another world here. And I’ve been watching your adventures—I’ve had fun observing them. I just wanted to know if you’re enjoying yourself,” she answered honestly.

I thought about my old, boring life as a university student. There were people I cared about back then, but I never experienced that level of personal satisfaction.

In this world, I’m living my dream—fighting in a fantasy realm and having sex with beautiful girls. Even putting my life at risk every day, I wouldn’t trade this new life for anything.

Floating above my head, the large screen displayed scenes of me fighting the bandit to save Alicia, Sarah defeating their leader, Diane and Sarah running across the rooftops, and my final battle against the Wolf Lord.

“I’m on TV?!” I asked loudly, dumbfounded as I stared at my own image on the screen.

“Well, this is my private show. Thanks to the system, I can watch everything that happens to you in high definition,” Freya said proudly, without a hint of shame. “But I have to say, there’s a part of the show that’s even better than the action.”

With another snap of her fingers, the images on the screen changed to—

“Ah, Rick~” The scene changed to a red-haired woman naked, moaning during her moment of intimacy.

The screen that had just shown Sarah fighting with her sword now displayed her lying on a bed, the moment she lost her virginity to me. Her body moved in rhythm with my hips. The scene then shifted to my threesome with Sarah and Alicia, and after that, to moments with Erina and Justine.

Freya must have noticed where I was looking, because she raised her voice loud enough for her subordinate to hear. “Going somewhere, Brandish?”

“Guh?” The girl froze exactly where she stood. “L-Lady Freya, I was going to fetch some drinks for you and for our guest.”

“That won’t be necessary. He is in spirit form, so he wouldn’t be able to drink even if he wanted to,” Freya said, casually tearing apart Brandish’s excuse to leave. “You told me you wanted to meet the young man in person, didn’t you? As a good employer, I am simply granting my employee’s wish.”

Freya might claim she was doing it out of kindness, but the mischievous smile on her face made it clear she was enjoying every second of it.

“Come closer, Brandish,” Freya ordered.
