At Ruhe Beast Island in the Moonlight Jungle.
This forbidden land of death unexpectedly welcomed visitors today, becoming unusually lively.
The nymphs walked barefoot across the soil of the Moonlight Jungle, led by a great spirit guiding their way.
“This way… this way.”
“Over here.”
It was a paper spirit.
One could see it sitting on a paper airplane, gliding slowly beneath the glowing orb fruits that filled the Moonlight Jungle.
A group of young women wearing flower crowns followed behind the paper spirit, heading deep into the Moonlight Jungle.
“Is this the Moonlight Jungle?” Most of the nymphs were visiting the mortal realm for the first time. They were just as curious as the spirits, yet they all walked in line holding hands.
“It’s so beautiful.” A nymph wearing a flower crown reached out her hand, feeling the luminescent dots pass through her fingers.
“So the mortal realm has places this beautiful too.” If the Sun Cup Flower Sea was radiant like the sunlight as its name suggested, and the Rainbow Forest had dreamlike rainbow colors, then this place was like a river of moonlight in the night, except the river was formed by countless glowing lights.
“This doesn’t belong to the mortal realm. This is the territory of the Moon Magic Fern, servant of the Life Sovereign.” Florrie, the nymph leading the group, had researched this place beforehand and knew why the Moonlight Jungle was created and what it originally looked like.
Plants resembling both trees and vines grew throughout the jungle, their tops crowned with glowing orb fruits that hung like enormous lanterns.
After walking for a long time, the leading nymph suddenly stopped.
They seemed to have reached their destination.
The nymphs behind, who had been looking up at the orb fruits overhead, accidentally bumped into her, causing the entire group to cluster together in disarray.
Florrie, who was leading the group, turned around to look at them. Everyone burst into laughter.
The spirit standing on the paper airplane stood up and spoke to those below.
“We’ve arrived at our destination.”
They saw a clearing appear in the Moonlight Jungle, as if specially prepared for them.
Wood Nymph Florrie wanted to choose a place in the mortal realm to serve as her spirit realm and as a relay station for delivering and collecting letters.
At that time, they needed to summon their Rainbow Tree from the Rainbow Forest into the mortal realm.
This period was also the most dangerous for the Wood Nymphs, as they lost the protection of the Creator’s Domain and were unable to use their spatial power to traverse the Dream Realm.
Their Rainbow Tree would remain in the mortal realm, unable to move freely.
Florrie chose this place in the Moonlight Jungle not only because hardly anyone ever came here but also because it was very safe.
Not many in this world could come and go atop the head of a Ruhe Beast, after all.
“Make way, make way… watch my performance.”
“The greatest paper spirit of all is about to begin.”
The paper spirit’s robes on both sides rose, resembling outstretched arms.
Miracle power emanated from the spirit’s hands, encircling this great land.
“Transform!”
Something was born within the dazzling light.
Although the nymphs had seen spirits use miracle power before, they still marveled at this wondrous force, even though their own abilities might appear equally extraordinary to ordinary people.
Thick, sturdy white cardboard condensed into form. It was then covered by a layer of skin and plated with metal.
Beautiful openwork patterns adorned the metal surface, and ancient script was etched into one side.
Although this great spirit was most skilled in miracle techniques concerning the Law of Paper, it could also use other miracle powers. Spirits were not particularly interested in power, but they had mastered various miracle techniques over the years.
The final creation looked like a folded greeting card, or a book.
However, this book appeared to have only two pages.
Its dimensions ranged from dozens to nearly a hundred meters in both length and width, and it floated vertically in the air.
It had three layers: paper, leather, and metal.
The spirit gestured with its hands and commanded the book to unfold.
The folded cover floating above the ground slowly opened, revealing a magnificent pop-up book unlike any other.
As the massive pop-up book, nearly a hundred meters in both length and width, opened, the overlapping folded papers inside gradually stretched out. They revealed exquisitely detailed miracle creations.
The pages contained an intricate world of cardboard houses, paper dragonflies, insects, and delicately folded trees, all set against beautifully lined background panels.
A three-dimensional paper spirit realm appeared before everyone.
“Wow!” The nymphs were also amazed by this sight.
“That’s amazing.” They all praised the spirit.
Spirits, being creatures unable to handle praise well, often become wildly excited when complimented.
The paper spirit’s eyes lit up and swelled like a balloon.
“I can do something even more amazing.”
“I can make it even bigger.”
Fortunately, Florrie stopped it, telling the spirit that a domain of that size was already sufficient. If it grew any larger, her power would not be able to merge with it.
The huge pop-up book descended from above and embedded itself into the land, becoming the foundation of the spirit realm.
Now it was time for the second step.
Florrie and the nymphs formed a circle around the massive pop-up book paper realm and then began a prayer ritual directed toward the Dream Realm.
A mystical passage opened between the realms as a tall, colorful flower tree slowly descended from the heavens.
Florrie’s Rainbow Tree landed in the center of the paper realm, taking root within it.
Light radiated outward in a perfect circle, expanding the domain until it covered an area with a radius of hundreds of meters.
The Wood Nymphs’ power merged with the pop-up book foundation, becoming one with this land.
The land’s power also nurtured the pop-up book, causing it to grow slightly larger through the spirit’s miracle technique.
The Rainbow Tree also merged with the pop-up book, transforming into a form that resembled paper and cartoons.
Various decorations hung from the branches, and upon closer inspection, one could see that they were paper airplanes.
Florrie and the Wood Nymphs proceeded to the third step by creating channels that connected this domain to all Rainbow Trees and their hollow spaces throughout the mortal realm.
The Rainbow Tree’s hollow in the paper realm doubled in size.
Whirlpools spun continuously inside the hollow before finally stopping, opening multiple passages.
The scenes on the other side of the hollow kept changing.
Sometimes it was a forest.
Sometimes it was a swamp or lake.
Sometimes distant villages and cities could be seen.
Every tree hollow in the mortal realm would first send its letters to the paper realm, gathering them there.
“We did it!”
“Sister Florrie’s spirit realm.”
The nymphs gathered together, looking overjoyed.
At the same time, they curiously examined every detail of the paper realm, discovering different scenery from various angles.
Wood Nymph Florrie stepped into the paper realm, and the paper-folded world instantly came alive.
The previously colorless trees, dragonflies, and cottages transformed into vibrant colors in an instant.
Everything became vivid and lifelike.
“Buzz buzz…” All the paper dragonflies took flight, circling within the paper-folded jungle.
“Whoosh!” Paper airplanes beneath the Rainbow Tree glided through the air, carrying messages to distant places.
“Ding-a-ling.” Wind chimes beneath the paper houses swayed, producing crisp, clear sounds.
Florrie spread her arms as she walked through the paper realm as if in a dream.
She held out her palm, letting a paper dragonfly land in her hand.
This was the Letter Spirit Realm she had envisioned, a domain of her own.
After a long while, she finally came back to her senses.
She saw the curious looks in the other nymphs’ eyes and the spirit’s eager movements.
“It’s complete now. Everyone, please come in!”
The paper spirit let out a cheer and descended from above.
One by one, the nymphs tiptoed through a layer of luminous membrane, entering this spirit realm that resembled a greeting card and pop-up book.
As everyone entered, the expanded pop-up book slowly closed again, and the spatial barrier gradually drew inward.
Though it remained in the mortal realm, unable to ascend to the Dream Realm until breaking through to the Fourth-Rank, the entire space was now enclosed by the power of the spatial barrier.
When the cover closed, everything vanished, but not before revealing the words etched in metal on one side of the pop-up book: “Letter Spirit Realm.”
The first spirit realm, the Letter Spirit Realm, was born.
Wood Nymph Florrie had finally reached Third-Rank and could officially collect mortals’ letters and wishes to gather the Light of Wishes belonging to the Wood Nymphs. Once they had gathered enough Light of Wishes, they could achieve transformation.
Florrie and the nymphs walked through the Letter Spirit Realm as the spirit rode its large paper airplane, chasing after smaller paper planes.
“This place is wonderful. I love it here.”
“Sister Florrie, how did you think of creating such a spirit realm? It’s so beautiful and interesting.”
“Can we all come here in the future?”
Florrie nodded and said, “Of course, this place belongs to everyone.”
“From now on, we’ll take turns watching over this place each month, fulfilling the mission Lady Hila gave us.”
“When we have free time, we can also gather here for tea parties.”
This place became not only a relay station for letters but also the nymphs’ secret base in the mortal realm.
Outside a cottage in the Letter Spirit Realm, Florrie sat alone beneath the Rainbow Tree.
Florrie was the first nymph assigned to watch over the Letter Spirit Realm.
Paper airplanes circled aimlessly around her as she held a pen, looking troubled.
Beneath the tree, a table stood with a silver teapot steaming atop it. Florrie sat at the table, her eyes lifted in thought.
“How should I write this?”
She hadn’t expected that after the Letter Spirit Realm’s creation, she would become the first letter sender.
She needed to tell the Snake People of the New Continent everything she had seen in the Spirit’s Magic Mirror about the Abyss.
This was her promise to them.
Although she hadn’t used their suggested spirit realm location, she believed their ideas and creativity were valid. Surely one day, her companions would make use of them.
However, what troubled her was not this but how to write the letter.
This wasn’t Florrie’s first time delivering letters, but it was her first time writing one herself.
“Which words will best capture my thoughts?”
Wood Nymph Florrie sat with perfect grace. Even her tea-drinking posture was beautiful.
However, after sitting for nearly half an hour, she had barely written anything.
She recalled the letters she had delivered before, which both divine beings had read in her presence.
Blood Progenitor Vivien’s writing had been the most eloquent, while God Iva’s had been more straightforward and genuine.
She wanted to learn Vivien’s style but couldn’t master it immediately, so she decided to imitate the writing style of God Iva, the God of Alchemy and Desire.
After much hesitation, Florrie finally put pen to paper.
“Yafuan,”
“I investigated what you asked me about. The deity worshipped by the Winged People is named Xiao in the ancient race’s writing. Your Snake People can also call Him the Xia God, which is a correct interpretation of the divine name.”
“But the deity worshipped by the Winged People is incomplete. He possesses only spirituality, having lost his former wisdom, desire, and knowledge.”
“The former Winged Queen Melde did not cause this deity’s fall solely through defilement. The continuous sacrifices of the Winged People over two hundred years polluted him, ultimately leading to the birth of the Abyss. It was the evil result of two hundred years of wicked sacrifices…”
Florrie wrote about the deity worshipped by the Winged People and how Abyss Queen Melde created the Abyss.
In the final line, she added what she had seen inscribed on the Divine Cup.
Although her authority and ability only allowed her to see incomplete information, this was all she could know.
As she had said, she wasn’t a divine being after all.
“The Abyss is a Divine Artifact without wisdom. It possesses multiple abilities, one of which is called Dark Corruption and can spiritually pollute and corrupt other life forms, transforming them into Abyss races.”
“Abyss races are influenced and controlled by the Abyss, becoming an eternal part of it. Higher Abyss races can, in turn, control a portion of the Abyss’s authority.”
Florrie didn’t write Sequence Number 4, since ordinary mortals wouldn’t understand the significance of such ranking.
Though she understood how terrifying such a powerful tool ranked fourth could be.
Its influence and destructive power over the mortal realm were incomprehensibly frightening, and mortals could not destroy it. Mentioning this now would only increase panic without helping.
Florrie finished the letter and folded it into a paper airplane.
She blew gently on the paper airplane, causing it to immediately glow with white light as it floated in midair.
Florrie stood up, watching the paper airplane circle the tall Rainbow Tree.
Finally, the hollow space of the Rainbow Tree opened, and the paper airplane flew inside.
Florrie said, “Though I can’t help you completely, I hope you can save your companions.”
The paper airplane passed through the tree hollow, leaving the mortal realm.
It flew over the Rainbow Tree spirit realm, beyond the Dream Continent, and soared up to the dream star sea.
At the highest layer of the star sea, it entered a temporary dream bubble.
The letter had been delivered.
On the other side of Ruhe Beast Island, across the vast ocean and through terrifying black storms, lay another continent.
A Snake Person suddenly awoke from a dream.
He had just experienced an extraordinarily vivid dream.
He saw a letter enter his dream. Even after waking, the words from that dream remained crystal clear.
Yafuan thought for a moment, understanding exactly what had happened.
He walked outside and looked up at the sky.
He spoke to that distant presence, perhaps existing in another world entirely: “Messenger of the Creator’s Domain, thank you.”
In the Suinhor City-State.
A small town outside Maya City had long passed down a terrifying legend about a tall monster wearing silver clothing who lurked in the wilderness outside. It had a human head, but its body was made of trees and roots.
It hid in the forest and specifically sought out children who wandered alone before devouring them.
It created strange golden plants to give to children. These plants carried the most evil curses.
Once you accepted its gift, you could never escape the monster’s control.
This had once made the town’s children too afraid to play in uninhabited areas.
But recently, a new legend had emerged in this small town.
People often spoke of seeing a colorful flower tree in the northern woods, but while everyone claimed to have seen it, no one could say exactly where.
Some said it was in the north, while others insisted it was in the south.
It was as if the tree could move.
One day, a child suddenly left home.
He carried a pack, hoping to reach the distant Maya City.
To reach Maya City, he had to pass through the northern forest.
This forest was dark and dense, with only scattered spots of sunlight filtering through the thick leaves.
As the child passed through the forest, he remembered the legend of the monster in silver clothing who ate children.
It liked to appear in such desolate places.
The child became extremely cautious and appeared very frightened.
He kept his head down and hurried through the forest.
Unknowingly, he wandered into a strange place.
He came upon a tall tree where a figure appeared and called out to him as he ran by with his head lowered.
“You must be missing someone deeply to have found your way here!”
The child, who had been walking with his head down, collapsed to the ground trembling with fear.
“Don’t eat me!”
“Please don’t eat me!”
The person in the tree looked at the child with curiosity and said: “I won’t eat you.”
“You wouldn’t taste good anyway, so why would I want to eat you?”
The voice was beautiful, making the child unable to resist looking up.
He saw a young woman with divine features wearing a flower crown, sitting in the treetop.
She reclined lazily against the trunk, tilting her head to look down at him.
Her beautiful eyes made the child feel as if he were seeing clear skies stretching endlessly, like a rainbow after rain.
This was a Wood Nymph.
Perhaps because he was a child, or perhaps because the nymph happened to see him, she deliberately revealed herself.
The child asked her: “Are you a divine being?”
The flower-crowned young woman shook her head: “I’m not a divine being.”
“I am a Wood Nymph. I can help you send letters, delivering your thoughts to people far away.”
The child asked her: “Send letters? Can you send them to anyone?”
The flower-crowned young woman nodded: “As long as they exist in this world, we can help deliver it.”
The child asked excitedly: “I want to send a letter to my father, asking him to come home soon.”
“Is that possible too?”
The nymph nodded: “Of course.”
The child then became worried: “But I haven’t prepared anything.”
The nymph waved her hand, and a power wrapped around him.
His thoughts transformed into a letter, folding into a paper airplane. The paper airplane circled the child several times before flying into the tree hollow.
It vanished from sight.
On the other side, unseen by the child, the paper airplane transformed into a strand of Light of Wishes in the Letter Spirit Realm. It ultimately surged toward the dream star sea.
The Wood Nymph told the child: “The letter has been sent. He will definitely receive it.”
The child was filled with anticipation and excitement, having never experienced anything so magical before.
“Will he come back?”
The Wood Nymph nodded. Although her expression remained unchanged, her kindness was palpable as she said, “If your father misses you too, he will certainly return.”
The Wood Nymph guided the child out of the forest, waving goodbye.
The child walked out of the forest and looked back, but she was already gone.
A few days later, the child’s father returned home, bringing joy to his son.
The father brought back many city-only novelties and mentioned something strange.
“It’s curious, but I received your letter in a dream a few days ago.”
“So I wanted to come back and see you.”
The child excitedly said: “That was my letter, the one I sent you!”
The child recounted his story of seeing the Rainbow Tree and the nymph, amazing everyone.
Afterward, others tried to find that Rainbow Tree, but few could see it, and most who did only saw it once, never encountering it again.
Those who could not find the Rainbow Tree perhaps lacked intense longing in their hearts, while those who had seen it before could no longer find it as their deep yearning gradually faded.
The legend of the Rainbow Tree spread far and wide.
Throughout the Suinhor City-State, the Royal Court of Ten Thousand Serpents, the Land of Sunrise, and even the Avel Peninsula, stories began circulating about nymphs who delivered letters and thoughts.
The legend spoke of how those who deeply missed someone, with hearts full of wishes, would always find a tree as colorful as a rainbow.
Unable to find the legendary, beautiful Rainbow Tree, people began placing their letters inside ordinary trees with hollows in the hope that their wishes would reach faraway places.
This practice spread throughout the land, becoming a cherished tradition.
As the legend spread, Florrie’s Letter Spirit Realm grew larger and the paper airplanes carrying thoughts became more numerous.
The letters carried thoughts of family, love between couples and lovers, and greetings that transcended time itself.
Under the Wood Nymphs’ power, people’s letters transformed into Light of Wishes.
Letter after letter, thought after thought, emotions and wishes belonging to different people.
Following the paper airplanes flying toward that dream star sea, reaching their destination.
The messages found their way into the dreams of their intended recipients, and for those who had passed on, the letters became part of their eternal dreams.
