Storage Spirit Realm.
More and more storage compartments within the white tower began glowing with light, each marked with numbers and branded with various insignias.
These storage compartments contained an increasingly diverse array of items.
The contents of these compartments constantly changed, as people regularly deposited and retrieved items.
Recently, an increasing number of storage compartments had been activated.
Alchemists created their own storage compartments through ritual methods. They then received rainbow tree petals as ritual rewards, which they used to craft corresponding storage artifacts.
The Storage White Tower became increasingly sophisticated. As Saint Raphael watched those compartments move up and down, observing streams of Light of Wishes flowing from the Storage White Tower toward the sky, she felt as though she could hear the jingle of countless gold coins falling from heaven into her own pouch.
Saint Raphael swam freely through the Storage White Tower, gliding through the gaps between compartments.
She gazed at the countless compartments, her thoughts drifting.
“So many treasures,” she murmured softly, her voice filled with wonder.
Gazing at this vast treasury, she felt immense joy.
She felt as though she had become the wealthiest person in the world.
What was happiness?
This was happiness.
As she passed by, she also saw Storage Spirits shuttling through the white tower. They assisted Saint Raphael in operating this tower and the Storage Spirit Realm.
Finally, she stopped at a mysterious, large storage compartment in the deepest section.
This was the Creator’s storage compartment. Recently, the Creator had placed something inside it.
At that time, she had witnessed a phantom hand descend from the sky. It sent a beam of light into this storage compartment, transcending space and everything else.
But except for her, no one else in the spirit realm or the outside world had seen that hand.
Saint Raphael now resembled a cat full of curiosity. She shook her fluffy head, her eyes alternating between gazing at the storage compartment and looking upward in contemplation.
“What could the Creator have placed inside?” she wondered.
“No!” she told herself.
“I cannot look.”
“Peeking is improper behavior.”
When most people said such things, they were merely deceiving themselves.
Sure enough, another Saint Raphael within her heart spoke to her: “Just take a look. It might be something interesting.”
“No, that belongs to a deity.”
Saint Raphael turned her head away. “I am not taking anything. I am just checking… to see if anything is missing.”
“That’s right,” she agreed with herself. “This is not peeking.”
“This is the inspection duty of a qualified Storage Spirit.”
Ding!
Saint Raphael convinced herself.
Her face showed a mischievous smile, and she carefully approached.
She climbed to the top of storage compartment number one, then hung down from above.
Pressing against the gap at the top of the storage compartment, she peered inside.
The enormous compartment seemed disproportionate to her petite body.
She resembled a tiny person hanging from a large chest.
Snap!
However, before she could see what was inside, the chest suddenly opened.
Saint Raphael looked up at the suddenly opened storage compartment, her face full of question marks.
“What happened?” she mumbled.
“Why did it suddenly open?”
“Did I open it?”
“I did not open it!”
Before she could puzzle out an answer, a wooden mallet suddenly sprang from the storage compartment.
The moment the mallet emerged, it enlarged dozens, even hundreds of times, striking Saint Raphael squarely on the head.
It knocked her so hard she saw stars. This caused her to release her grip and float dazedly in mid-air.
The mallet followed with another swing, knocking her flying out of the white tower.
“Ah!”
Like a black dot, she shot from the Storage White Tower, flying toward the sky.
Finally, she traced an arc across the sky and landed on the rainbow tree in the spirit realm.
On the rainbow tree, Saint Raphael felt dizzy and disoriented.
“Ouch!”
“Where did that mallet come from? And why did it hit me?”
One strike to her head, another to her bottom.
Now both her head and bottom hurt.
Rubbing her already not-very-clever head, Saint Raphael suddenly understood after a long moment. “Was I… discovered by the Creator?” she realized.
She looked up, suddenly feeling guilty.
She had the distinct feeling that a pair of bright eyes were watching her from above.
“No peeking!” she scolded herself.
She felt as though God Yinsai had completely seen through her little schemes.
From now on, she would never dare to casually peek at or touch other people’s storage compartments.
Feeling like a thief caught in the act, she climbed down from the rainbow tree with immense guilt.
Although her mischievous curiosity had not been satisfied, the Storage Spirit Realm was indeed continuously improving. Perhaps in just ten or twenty years, she would be able to perfect her Storage Spirit Realm and bring it back to the Creator’s Domain.
Saint Raphael had just climbed down from the tree when a figure appeared behind her.
Feeling guilty about her thievery, she jumped when she turned and saw the person.
“Oh my!”
She patted her chest and let out a long breath. “Oh, it’s you, Mr. Tut!”
Old Tut approached the rainbow tree just then, looking curiously at the nymph.
“Lady Saint Raphael, what happened?” Old Tut asked. “Why did you suddenly shoot out of the white tower and fall from the sky?”
“Are you perhaps practicing flying?”
Saint Raphael stuck out her tongue. She did not try to hide anything.
“Well,” she began, “I peeked at what the Creator stored in the white tower. Then this huge mallet,” she paused, spreading her hands wide to show its size, “came out of nowhere and knocked me flying.”
Old Tut did not react at first. Then, after understanding that Saint Raphael had not misspoken the title, the old man immediately opened his mouth wide.
He did not know how to describe this audacious nymph before him. She dared to peek at what the Creator had hidden?
If she were not a nymph, it would not simply have been a matter of being hammered into the sky and falling down unharmed.
She would probably have been reduced to nothing.
“Lady Saint Raphael,” Old Tut said with a chuckle. “Your courage is truly remarkable!”
Saint Raphael rubbed her forehead with one hand and her bottom with the other.
Although the wooden mallet had struck her twice without causing injury, it really did hurt.
Hearing Old Tut’s words, Saint Raphael’s eyes lit up with excitement. She straightened up proudly and gave her chest a playful pat.
“Naturally!” she declared with a grin.
“In Rainbow Forest, no one has more courage than me!”
Old Tut really wanted to retort, “I was not praising you.”
After they chatted for a while, with Old Tut mostly listening to Saint Raphael talk, they returned to the small house outside the white tower. Only then did Old Tut finally speak to Saint Raphael.
“Lady Saint Raphael,” Old Tut said gently, his voice tinged with finality. “It is time for me to leave.”
Saint Raphael blinked, her surprise turning to confusion. “Leave? What do you mean?”
Old Tut repeated to Saint Raphael, “I am leaving.”
“I was the guardian of the Exile White Tower,” Old Tut said, “the keeper of this prison.”
“Now that there is no longer a prison or an Exile White Tower, there is no need for me here anymore.”
Saint Raphael understood. She immediately felt reluctant to part with Old Tut.
Throughout these many days, Old Tut and Oran had helped her create the brand new Storage White Tower. They had planned the entire Storage Spirit Realm, its storage rituals, and storage artifacts.
Without their help, Saint Raphael estimated, she would not have known how long it would take her to understand these matters.
“Can’t you stay here?” Saint Raphael asked, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. “Is my spirit realm not good enough for you?”
But Old Tut shook his head. “I have been trapped here for decades,” he said. “I spent my youth and middle age here. I once thought I would die of old age in this place.”
“You rescued everyone trapped in this prison.”
“Those trapped in the lamps, and me too.”
“It is also because of you that I now have the opportunity to restart my life.”
Saint Raphael had no choice. She could only purse her lips and nod, unable to speak.
Old Tut looked at the somewhat childish Saint Raphael. Although she might be countless years older than him, Old Tut could not help but speak as if coaxing a child.
“Lady Saint Raphael,” he said with a warm smile, “I promise to write to you often and keep you updated on my adventures outside.”
Saint Raphael watched Old Tut try to appease her. Her pursed lips gradually relaxed, but she still felt reluctant about Old Tut leaving.
She knew that Old Tut was not a Dream Ability species with an unimaginably long lifespan.
For nymphs, goodbye truly meant ‘see you again’, and separation was indeed just a temporary parting.
But for snake people, after this separation, they might never meet again.
Old Tut said he was leaving, and he immediately took action.
Or rather, he had been preparing for a long time and only mentioned it just before departing.
Older people were always less lingering than young people during farewells.
They were accustomed to hiding their emotions, keeping everything inside their hearts.
At the entrance to the spirit realm, Saint Raphael pushed the wheelchair, with puppet Oran in it, to see Old Tut off.
Even the Storage Spirits gathered, transforming from points of light into figures to bid Old Tut farewell.
Puppet Oran, sitting in the wheelchair, watched Old Tut. “You are free,” it said.
Old Tut looked at the puppet. “You are free too,” he replied.
“I no longer imprison you.”
“You also need not remain immersed in the past. You have left this white tower. Have you considered returning to the Land of Sunrise?”
Old Tut hesitated for a moment, then spoke to Oran.
“Oran,” Old Tut said thoughtfully, his voice carrying a hint of nostalgia, “if I were to rebuild the Tower Spirit School, would you stand by my side and help me?”
Puppet Oran replied, “You are already so old, and yet you still want to make trouble.”
But Old Tut said, “It is precisely because I am this old.”
“If I do not make trouble now, there will be no more opportunity to do so.”
“The Tower Spirit School should not decline like this,” he continued. “Alchemy still has many more possibilities.”
“All those ideas we once had, all those ideals, they have not yet been realized.”
“That would be too regrettable.”
Puppet Oran said, “Wasn’t the downfall of the Tower Spirit School caused by the very ideals its founders pursued? Weren’t those ideals the reason for its destruction?”
“Tut,” it continued, “weren’t those the very things you hated most?”
Old Tut told puppet Oran, “I have been thinking recently. What I hate is our failure, and that we did not anticipate such terrible consequences. It is not that I hate our original goals and ideals.”
“I suddenly understand the teacher’s thoughts from back then.”
“The teacher had already achieved fame and success. He was a peak alchemist who possessed almost everything.”
“But we live in this world. We were born into this world as intelligent species. As supernatural ability users, what we must do is not merely this. The meaning of our existence cannot only be this.”
“If we lose our pursuit of goals and answers, then what meaning does our existence truly have?”
“We are alchemists who manipulate desire, servants of the God of Alchemy and Desire. Should we ultimately allow ourselves to be tamed by desire and become beast-like existences?”
“That is why he was so unwilling.”
“That is why he would so recklessly conduct that experiment in his later years.”
As he spoke of this, Old Tut’s voice slowed.
“He just never imagined the ending would be like that.”
Old Tut looked at puppet Oran, his eyes filled with peace.
“Dreams must still be had.”
“It is just that this time, I will pursue them more carefully.”
After saying this, he suddenly smiled.
“Actually,” he mused, “all these years.”
“It was not me imprisoning you, nor you imprisoning me.”
“We were simply trapped by the past.”
Old Tut reached out to Oran, his voice warm and inviting. “Oran, you were once the brightest mind of the Tower Spirit School, perhaps the most gifted of your time.”
“You have such brilliance.”
“Will you join me?”
Puppet Oran did not respond to Old Tut’s request immediately. Instead, it said, “I am no longer the Oran I once was. I am now just a puppet.”
Old Tut shook his head. “What traps you is not this body, nor this tower, but your own heart.”
Old Tut looked up and happened to see Saint Raphael sulking, likely because Old Tut was trying to steal away her puppet.
However, Old Tut was quite thick-skinned. He merely touched his white and somewhat sparse hair.
“Oh my!”
“The weather is really nice today. It is a good day for departure.”
Hearing this, Saint Raphael remembered that Old Tut truly was leaving.
Old Tut turned to Saint Raphael. “Lady Saint Raphael!”
“You are a true nymph. You have allowed me to feel that such beautiful and holy beings exist in this world.”
“You must do even better, just as you said, to understand the true essence of storage.”
“To preserve… all the beauty in the world.”
Saint Raphael asked Old Tut, “Shouldn’t good friends always stay together?”
“Why must we separate?”
Old Tut looked at this innocent nymph before him. “True friends,” he said gently, “are kept in the heart.”
“Not kept by one’s side.”
He gave Saint Raphael a small gift: a metal music box that could play a melody when opened.
“Beautiful and holy Storage Spirit, please preserve my gift well!”
Old Tut left the spirit realm without looking back. He crossed through a shimmering, rainbow-like gate and returned to the Land of Sunrise.
For the first time, Saint Raphael understood that some things could not be kept by one’s side forever.
Saint Raphael looked at the puppet in the wheelchair and smiled softly.
“At least,” she said, her voice warm, “I know you’ll always be by my side.”
Puppet Oran looked up, its smooth metal face reflecting the sunlight.
“Lady Saint Raphael,” it said, “you still do not understand Tut’s meaning.”
“He was trying to tell you that while some things cannot be kept forever, memories can be treasured forever.”
“You store not only things, but also memories.”
“What brings you joy is not only this spirit realm and the things in this white tower, but also all these little moments.”
Saint Raphael scratched the back of her head. “Do mortals always speak so complexly?”
Messengers from both Suinhor and the northern wastelands arrived at the City of Gold simultaneously. They were heading to the Storage Spirit Realm on the ocean, a place invisible and inaccessible to mortals, to pay their respects to the Creator’s messenger.
Smerkel from the Blood Kingdom and Sukob from the wastelands happened to meet on the Golden Coast.
Both were startled.
Sukob held great respect for this legendary ruler, who was at least several eras older than himself.
“I greet the apostle of the Scarlet Goddess, King Smerkel of Suinhor.”
Mortals more commonly called the Scarlet Witch the Scarlet Goddess.
This was one of Blood Progenitor Vivien’s titles.
Smerkel also sensed the other’s witch spirit identity. “You are… the favored one of the God of Knowledge and Truth, the leader of the Wasteland Witch Spirits?” he asked.
Faith on Ruhe Beast Island was basically divided among three parties.
Suinhor worshipped the Mother of Life and the Blood Progenitor. The Royal Court of Ten Thousand Serpents worshipped the Mother of Life and the Mother of All Snakes. The Land of Sunrise worshipped the Dream Sovereign and the God of Alchemy.
Sukob’s identity was somewhat awkward here. Fortunately, the Wasteland Witch Spirits organization was not established to spread faith.
Sukob said, “I come, following the oracle of the God of Knowledge and Truth, to pay respects to the divine servant who descended from the Creator’s Domain.”
Smerkel replied, “I am here for the same purpose.”
Having clarified their purposes, the two set out across the ocean together.
At this moment, the ocean surface also rippled with waves.
Beyond the shimmering water, a scene like a mirage appeared.
A golden beach first came into view, followed by a white tower.
Below the tower stood a tall rainbow tree.
Smerkel and Sukob’s first sight was not the tower, but that rainbow tree.
“What a magnificent rainbow tree.”
In the mortal world, one could not see such a majestic divine tree.
It existed only in the Creator’s Domain, in the Rainbow Spirit Realm where all nymphs were born.
The two stepped into the spirit realm.
They waited beneath the rainbow tree for a while.
Neither was impatient, for they knew the master of this place already knew of their arrival.
Starlight flashed in the rainbow tree’s canopy, and a black-haired girl wearing a flower crown appeared above them.
The nymph blinked her radiant eyes. Her expression was lively and curious as she looked at the two people below.
“I am Saint Raphael!”
“A divine messenger from the Creator’s Domain, a wood nymph under the Dream Sovereign.”
“And who are you?” she asked.
The two demigod messengers prostrated themselves and bowed to the black-haired girl.
“Smerkel represents the Blood Progenitor to pay respects to the messenger from the Creator’s Domain, to pay respects to Yinsai’s messenger.”
“Sukob represents the God of Knowledge and Truth, seeking guidance from the Creator.”
Although they all sounded like divine messengers, these two were different from the one before them, for she represented Creator Yinsai.
Saint Raphael immediately understood that these two people must be like God Iva.
They had all come for that statement the Creator had made.
Although Saint Raphael was not certain whether that was truly a divine oracle to be transmitted, she still prepared to meet these two mortal demigods.
“Guidance from God Yinsai?” she repeated thoughtfully.
Saint Raphael poked her chin with her finger for a while, then looked down at Smerkel and Sukob.
“Perfect!”
“I have some matters I want to attend to in the domains of the Blood Progenitor and the God of Knowledge and Truth,” she announced. “I have never been to those places.”
“I will personally visit the domains of the deities to pay them visits.”
Saint Raphael’s Storage Spirit Realm had opened successfully in the Land of Sunrise. However, for it to develop more rapidly in the future, the faith territories of other deities also offered very important assistance.
Smerkel and Sukob bowed together, their voices perfectly synchronized.
“Our gods eagerly await your arrival.”
Saint Raphael waved her hand, and petals drifted on the wind. “Then that is settled!”
“I will visit in a little while.”
The two then found themselves outside the spirit realm.
The conversation had been brief.
Although they had not received answers, this trip had not been in vain.
They confirmed that the Creator’s divine messenger had truly descended and was, indeed, a genuine divine messenger.
More importantly, there truly was guidance from the Creator.
The two exchanged glances, then hurriedly transmitted the news to their respective deities.
In the Storage Spirit Realm, a wheelchair rolled out from beneath the tree. The puppet sitting in the wheelchair looked up at the somewhat troubled Saint Raphael.
“Lady Saint Raphael,” Oran observed, “you just accepted the worship of two divine messengers.”
“You should be proud. Why do you seem so troubled?”
Saint Raphael had once even received personal worship from the God of Alchemy and Desire, but she had understood the meaning behind it.
“They were worshipping the Creator, not me,” she replied.
“But I am indeed somewhat troubled.”
“When I descended to the mortal world, I only learned about the Land of Sunrise. That place is Lady Hila’s faith territory, and God Iva is also Lady Hila’s follower.”
“I also know something about Suinhor, but not very much.”
Simply put, the wood nymph clan were all beings who typically stayed on the Dream Continent.
Most nymphs did not yearn for the outside world. They preferred to stay in their homeland.
Saint Raphael was considered an exception. However, she also only wanted to go to familiar, reliable places, where Lady Hila’s divine power enveloped the land and divine radiance bathed it.
That was why she had chosen the Land of Sunrise.
The other two places were completely unfamiliar to her, especially the domain of the God of Knowledge and Truth.
Puppet Oran said, “Suinhor is not far. I have been there before. There is nothing to fear there.”
Saint Raphael replied, “But you do not know!”
“The domain of the God of Knowledge and Truth is beyond Ruhe Beast Island. For me, that is also a very unfamiliar, unknown land.”
“I heard from Sister Florrie that it is very dangerous there.”
“A mythological-level disaster once erupted there. Multiple God’s Apostle-level beings fought great battles and fell into the abyss.”
“Hundreds of thousands of intelligent species perished. It is terrifying.”
Puppet Oran heard such things for the first time. “A mythological-level disaster?” it repeated. “Multiple apostles engaging in a great battle?”
“The God of Knowledge and Truth… I seem to have heard of this name. Could this be the deity from Avel legends?”
“I never expected such a deity truly existed.”
“So the story of the Avel people finding a new world… that is also true?”
So many secrets were hidden in such a brief meeting.
Puppet Oran finally witnessed the vast difference between the divine and mortal worlds.
Puppet Oran asked Saint Raphael, “So, do you not want to go?”
Saint Raphael shook her head. Despite her fears, she still wanted to go.
She felt desire in her heart, but at the same time, she also felt some fear.
Puppet Oran noticed this too. “Didn’t you say your courage was great?” it reminded her.
“Do not be afraid. You are a messenger from the Creator’s Domain. You have met the Creator and the Dream Sovereign face to face as a divine messenger. Who in this world could possibly harm you?”
Saint Raphael’s identity was indeed her greatest protection. At the same time, however, it also meant her identity was neutral.
She could not casually do things beyond her duties and mission. She also could not easily interfere in mortal disputes.
“Besides,” Puppet Oran added, “what you’re doing helps everyone. Even the gods rely on it.”
Saint Raphael’s attention turned back to Puppet Oran at its words.
“Why don’t you come with me?” Saint Raphael suddenly said, tugging puppet Oran along with a cheerful grin. “I think that is a great idea!”
Puppet Oran said, “But I cannot move easily.”
“Every time I move, I need to borrow the power of Elena’s Heart.”
Saint Raphael thought for a moment, her eyes brightening.
“I have an idea!”
Saint Raphael put on the ring Lady Hila had given her to safeguard. She displayed this ring’s power for the first time.
Puppet Oran asked her, “What is that?”
Saint Raphael told it the ring’s name. “The Void Ring.”
“The great Dream Sovereign, Lady Hila, bestowed it upon me at the temple, um…”
“She entrusted it to my safekeeping.”
“I can use it to directly open a dream realm void and compress an ordinary object through spatial folding to its limit. I can also banish other existences to the depths of the dream realm.”
“More importantly, I can use it to learn spatial power. This will help me gradually become familiar with the duties belonging to a Storage Spirit and with spatial laws.”
“Although it is not a Mythical Artifact, in terms of function, even other Mythical Artifacts cannot accomplish such things.”
Dream Sovereign Hila gave Saint Raphael this ring, firstly, to protect her safety and ensure the safe establishment of the Storage Spirit Realm.
Secondly, it was so that after the Storage Spirit Realm was perfected, Saint Raphael could use the Void Ring to further familiarize herself with spatial laws.
Although Saint Raphael said she wanted to become a Storage Spirit, the Storage Spirit Realm required a much more specialized and difficult use of spatial power than the Letter Spirit Realm did.
Saint Raphael had only said verbally that she wanted to become a Storage Spirit, but she did not yet actually possess this ability fully.
Hila was both assisting and supervising her.
This could be considered well-intentioned.
Additionally, its surface power was only superficial. Most importantly, this ring could connect to the dream realm.
Wearing this ring meant that as long as Saint Raphael connected to the dream realm’s power, she was effectively connecting to Dream Sovereign Hila’s will.
No matter where she was, Dream Sovereign Hila would notice her immediately.
Puppet Oran said, “So you have such a powerful thing. Why then do you need to be afraid?”
Saint Raphael replied, “But sometimes I’m just scared!”
It was just like a strong man who might still scream when encountering a small insect.
She had never witnessed such terrifying disasters.
She had never imagined that the world contained an abyss that gathered all filth.
Moreover, she had once called someone the God of Toilets and Filth.
When speaking ill of others, she had felt nothing and had thought herself quite clever.
She had felt quite pleased with herself.
But after descending to the mortal world, she had become somewhat timid.
Although the other party probably did not know of such small matters, her heart still felt guilty. She had heard that fellow was very powerful. Indeed, two demigods could not kill Him.
How could someone as weak and not very clever as her be a match for Him?
“He wouldn’t know about me, would he?” she fretted. “He wouldn’t know I spoke ill of him, would he?”
“What if that mythological being from the toilet…”
“No, what if the mythological being from the abyss comes out to attack me?”
“How would I run then?”
With this ring, things were different. “I can run very fast,” she thought.
She extended her hand and instantly compressed puppet Oran to palm size, then placed it on her shoulder.
“Look!” she exclaimed.
“Now I can take you anywhere.”
“If I need to run away, you just hold onto me, and we can run together!”
Puppet Oran stared at Saint Raphael, discovering another trait of this nymph.
She was very afraid of death.
Saint Raphael climbed down from the rainbow tree.
She retrieved her leather case from the tree hollow, checked her belongings, and then prepared to depart.
She hummed a cheerful tune as she busied herself, her movements light and carefree.
Though her hands were constantly at work, it was clear she enjoyed every moment, pouring her heart into the preparations.
With her earlier fears and doubts fading away, her face now radiated pure excitement for the journey ahead.
As Saint Raphael continued her preparations, puppet Oran suddenly spoke up, its curiosity piqued.
“Earlier, when you were talking to those two demigod messengers,” it said, “you mentioned a deity’s name. I’ve never heard of it before. Who is that?”
Still busy, Saint Raphael asked, “Which deity?”
Puppet Oran blurted out, “The one the Scarlet Goddess’s apostle mentioned. The one with the same name as the ancient ruler, called… Yin~sai~”
“God…”
Puppet Oran did not yet know that this figure was the ancient ruler himself.
But just as it spoke the name Yinsai, the following syllables became infinitely stretched.
The feeling was as though time had been extended until it stopped completely.
Before it could finish the words, puppet Oran suddenly saw white before its eyes, and the entire world changed.
It sat on Saint Raphael’s shoulder but suddenly began to see scenes that did not belong to its perspective.
“What?”
“How am I flying?”
Its consciousness seemed instantly pulled away from the earth, allowing it to overlook the land from an extreme height.
It looked around in confusion.
Suddenly, it saw endless darkness and storms engulfing everything. The earth, sky, and sea were filled with terrifying shadows.
It saw god-destroying, demon-like shadows roaring and howling on the earth and heard death-like horn sounds.
Then, it heard some terrible existence whispering in its ear, as if countless tentacles were entangling its body, trying to drive its consciousness directly into madness.
Language from hundreds of millions of years ago rang in its ears.
“God said~”
“God said…”
“God said…”
“King Redlichia…”
Countless ancient species were calling the name it had just wanted to speak. They were chanting some sacred epic chapter with fanatical tones, while simultaneously cursing it.
They were cursing it for using the language of the ancients, cursing it for calling God Yinsai’s name in the language of the ancients.
“Touching taboo…”
“Death…”
“Death…”
“That is the language of wisdom…”
“Must not spy… must not chant… must not call…”
“Must not… must not… must not…”
Puppet Oran had never seen such scenes. It felt as if it would be completely swallowed by the dream realm’s darkness.
Terrifying shadows climbed up. Countless tentacles from the darkness entangled upward, binding it tightly.
At this moment, someone flicked its forehead, directly awakening it from its sinking state.
It heard Saint Raphael’s voice again, a voice which felt so familiar.
It felt as though it had instantly risen from the abyss to heaven.
“Fool!”
“Do not casually use Wisdom language to recite the true names of root gods and the Creator,” Saint Raphael chided. “That syllable just now was the pronunciation of Trilobite Man Wisdom Script from the previous era.”
Puppet Oran was confused. Saint Raphael looked at it with concern.
“This script is the language and writing of the ancient Trilobite Man. You are not qualified to use it. Using it will bring a backlash.”
“Generally, light study and use is acceptable, and some people have done it before. However, you directly used this pronunciation to call God Yinsai’s name.”
“Fortunately, your power and spirituality are not strong. You only communicated with the will of the previous era in the dream realm, which was cursing you.”
“If you were more powerful, you would die for reciting God Yinsai’s name.”
Saint Raphael used words she had heard to frighten puppet Oran. “You would see the eternal star beyond the sky, see the sacred shadow leaping outside the universe and the river of time. You would be dragged into an eternal time prison.”
“Endless years would completely erase you, leaving an empty shell. Billions of years would roll over you like giant wheels. Eternal darkness would completely swallow you and leave you there.”
Puppet Oran heard such explanations for the first time.
The stronger you are, the faster you die.
Puppet Oran did not understand. “Then why were you fine when you said it?” it asked.
Saint Raphael naturally knew what kind of existence Trilobite Symbiotes were. “That fellow just now was a Trilobite Man, one surviving from the previous era. He is qualified to address the Creator because they are of the direct bloodline of Wisdom King Redlichia.”
“In the previous era, they called themselves God’s eldest children.”
“Didn’t you see that even the favored one of the God of Knowledge and Truth dared not use that pronunciation?”
Seeing the puppet was fine, Saint Raphael immediately adopted a mature appearance.
“Only you were foolish enough!”
Puppet Oran never expected that one day it would be called foolish by Saint Raphael.
Puppet Oran felt there were too many questions. The information in Saint Raphael’s recent statements was enough to make its head explode.
What were the Trilobite Man?
What was Wisdom Script?
Who was Wisdom King Redlichia?
What was the previous era?
But what it most wanted to know now was about the name it had just recited, a name which possessed such terrifying power from its mere utterance.
It had heard that praise from hundreds of millions of years ago. It had heard those ancient, primitive lives singing of this deity.
From the beginning of heaven and earth, when everything had just been born, it could even feel the vicissitudes in those voices. It could trace them back to the very beginning of everything.
Saint Raphael looked puzzledly at puppet Oran. Had it not discussed the Creator with her before?
“God Yinsai?”
“He is the supreme deity of this world, the Creator of all!”
Puppet Oran felt even more dizzy. “What?”
After an unknown amount of time, it seemed to finally sort out its confused thoughts.
“Then what about the Mother of Life?” it asked.
Saint Raphael said matter-of-factly, “She is God Yinsai’s daughter!”
Saint Raphael then proceeded to tell puppet Oran about the primordial mythology, the mythology recorded by the Trilobite Man.
“At the beginning of all creation, God Yinsai created wisdom and life. He bestowed wisdom upon Wisdom King Redlichia, and from then on, the light of wisdom ignited in the dark world.”
“He bestowed life upon the Mother of Life, Shelly. The Mother of Life possessed the ability to create life, bringing the rhythm of life to this world.”
“Creator Yinsai opened everything, residing in the Pyramid Temple of the Creator’s Domain.”
“The current world belongs to the second era.”
“Everything from the previous era ended 250 million years ago. Things only began operating again several thousand years ago. It was only about 1,100 to 1,200 years ago that the Mother of Life created intelligent species again.”
“Your story, the story of the snake people and the winged people, begins here.”
“It was initiated by the Mother of Life.”
Puppet Oran finally understood some things, including the relationship between the first and second eras.
For them, the Mother of Life was undoubtedly the Creator.
She was the creator of snake people and winged people, the creator of Ruhe Beast Island.
But for nymphs, the Trilobite Man, spirits, and the gods, the Creator was a completely different concept.
“So, this is the truth?” Oran whispered.
Puppet Oran finally understood why it had always felt the relationships between deities were incomprehensible. It understood why the Mother of Life and the Dream Sovereign of the Miracle Temple were both main gods.
It turned out that above everything, there was still a supreme deity unknown in this era, a deity named Yinsai who had created everything.
Puppet Oran asked Saint Raphael, “But why?”
“Why does no one in this era know of Him?”
“If He truly exists and is truly so powerful, why can this world not find even a shadow of Him?”
Saint Raphael asked in return, “Can you see the shadow of Ruhe Beast Island?”
“Everything is built upon God Yinsai’s power. Everything originates from His power.”
“Everything about you comes from God Yinsai, just like the plants, beasts, and insects growing on this land.”
“They inhabit this land but do not know what a continent is. They do not know the name Ruhe.”
Puppet Oran was first shocked, then extremely excited.
Then, just as suddenly, it became depressed.
Hearing Saint Raphael’s last statement, it suddenly thought of itself and of the Tower Spirit School.
“People always speculate about secrets according to their own thoughts,” Oran reflected. “They are always thinking they can create everything, always naming everything according to their own ideas, as if they had created all those things themselves.”
“I thought it was merely so.”
“I never imagined that people also interpret deities with their own thoughts, defining gods with their own ignorance and foolishness.”
Puppet Oran looked down at its shadow, cast upon Saint Raphael’s shoulder.
“We always think we can create everything, that we can create the future.”
“But what we do is not create them. We discover them.”
“This is true whether it is the mysteries of Tower Spirits or the eternal deities.”
“They are there, unchanging, regardless of anything.”
Puppet Oran sighed. “We should face this world and all its unknowns with more humble attitudes.”
“This,” it declared, “is the essence of alchemy.”
It spoke its final words to Saint Raphael. “Not creation, but discovery.”
Saint Raphael could not quite understand and did not fully grasp Oran’s current mood.
But she was ready. Taking puppet Oran with her, she opened a passage to the dream realm.
She immediately dove in.
Numerous Storage Spirits rushed out, surrounding the edge of the dream realm passage.
Saint Raphael waved to them. “Take good care of home for me!”
Meanwhile, Smerkel and Sukob were both reporting to their respective deities about what they had discovered in the Land of Sunrise. They had indeed seen the divine messenger, Saint Raphael.
Both deities gave almost identical responses.
God of Knowledge and Truth: “It seems the God of Alchemy and Desire should have already received the divine oracle?”
“Return!”
“Do not spread this news.”
Blood Progenitor Vivien: “Do not linger long in the Land of Sunrise. That place is, after all, the domain of the God of Alchemy.”
“Return quickly and give me a detailed report.”
The Abyss.
Behind the Door of Original Sin, the flesh mountain resembled a stellar divine throne, one that was constantly changing and writhing.
The evil god on the flesh mountain raised his hand, and an exquisite ceramic figurine appeared in his palm.
It brought him news from the mortal world.
The ceramic figurine spoke. “The messenger from the Creator’s Domain has truly brought a divine oracle, and it appears to be a very important one.”
“Smerkel, under Vivien, and Sukob, under Asai, have both reached the Land of Sunrise. They have met God Yinsai’s messenger.”
The Original Sin Evil God said only one sentence: “Find a way to obtain God Yinsai’s oracle.”
The ceramic figurine then disappeared.
The divine will from the Creator’s Domain originated from God Yinsai’s will.
For the mortal deities, this too could be called a divine oracle.
