I had no idea where to look.

Nyssa was a fucking dream in that skin tight dress and curly hair. Her hips swayed with each step that she took, the curve of her spine and the valley between her tits called out to me, begging for me to run my tongue down every inch of her skin.

It didn’t help that she smelled like a fucking dream, her scent something sweet and heady that had me balling my hands into fists to prevent myself from losing my fucking mind and fucking her in the back seat of the car.

“You look ill,” she noted, sounding very amused. “Are you sure you don’t want to stop and take a breath?”

“I’m fine,” I ground out, pulling up into the restaurant.

Being in the car with her was pure torture. She was so close and yet so far at the same time. I was determined to do this right even if that meant sporting blue balls for the rest of the night.

“We could always return home if you’re not up for it.”

I risked a glance at her and found that she was biting back a smile. The sly minx knew exactly what she was doing to me.

I had to give it to her, she was playing a good game.

“I’m fine,” I grit out, turning off the car. “We’re here.”

She looked around the empty parking lot, brows knitted together in confusion but didn’t say a word. Thankfully her confusion meant I had enough time to open her door for her and hold out a hand for her to take.

Her cheeks heated slightly, but she took my hand. Once she was out, I placed a hand on her lower back, loving the way she shivered against my touch.

The hostess bowed to us as we approached the doorway and led us through the empty restaurant.

It was illuminated by soft lights made to mimic a candlelit glow. A man sat at a large piano to the right, playing soft melodies and combined with the soft reflection from the chandelier, it looked ethereal.

“This is so beautiful,” she whispered, subconsciously stepping closer to me. “Why the hell is it empty? There should be a line.”

There should have been, but I paid them well to cancel all their reservations for tonight.

The restaurant had a waitlist for months, but they were more than happy to give me the spot and I made sure everyone was well compensated for their time.

“Don’t worry about it,” was what I said to her before helping her into her seat.

We sat in a booth by the corner, far away from prying eyes and with a view of the fountain at the back. The moon was high up in the sky now and a chill breeze from outside wafted in.

The hostess murmured something about getting us some water before scurrying off.

“I have to say, you picked a good place,” Nyssa noted, picking up the menu. “I didn’t think you’d be able to get everything done on such a short notice.”

My lips curled into a smile. “There’s almost nothing I can’t do.”

Her brows rose as she leaned forward on her elbows, tits pushed up directly into my line of sight.

I bit back a groan as she spoke. “That sounds like a challenge.”

Before I got the chance to respond, a server returned with two glasses of water and a notepad to take our order.

He was a young male with scruffy hair and wisps of a beard on his chin. His eyes were wide with eagerness and excitement as he looked between Nyssa and I,

“Everything here sounds good,” Nyssa said, leaning back into her chair. “What do you suggest?”

The waiter looked surprised that she was speaking to him but as soon as he got over his initial shock, he grinned wide. “They have amazing steak, and I love their chicken soup.”

He rattled off dishes with a childlike eagerness. It would have been fun to watch had Nyssa not smiled at him.

It wasn’t her usual smile, I’d never seen anything like that on her face before. It was soft, almost adoring and she looked up at him with a sort of wonder that had my stomach churning.

Surely she couldn’t be attracted to the boy, he looked like an infant, but the more he spoke, the wider her smile grew until she laughed, a soft amused chuckle that had an ugly monster crawling up my chest.

“We’ll both have the seafood pasta and some wine,” I growled low, cutting into their conversation.

The boy looked between Nyssa and I. “But she—”

“Put in the fucking order and get out,” I snapped.

He fucking squeaked, bowing low with mumbled apologies as he rushed off.

I watched his form disappear down the hallway, trying to resist the urge to make sure another server attended to us for the rest of the night.

“Fucking finally,” I mumbled, brushing my hands off on my pants.

“You didn’t have to be rude to him,” Nyssa snapped. I glanced up to find her watching me with a strange expression. “He was just being nice.”

“He was flirting with you,” I shot back and she snorted.

“He was not. He’s probably just an excited college student.”

“He’s closer to your age,” I said simply, trying to keep the edge out of my voice. “It would make sense for him to flirt with you.”

She was silent for a moment, and then the corner of her lips tugged upwards. I frowned, wondering what was so amusing when she suddenly laughed, her hand covering her mouth as she tried to control herself.

I decided then that I hated that.

I wanted to see her lips curve as she laughed, wanted to hear the sound. She had no issues smiling for the child, why was I any different?

“You’re jealous,” she pointed out and I scowled.

“I have nothing to be jealous of.”

“So you say, but you look like a tomato about to burst.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “This is golden. You’re jealous of a server.”

“Like I said, I am not jealous.”

A brow rose in challenge. “So you will have no issues if I call him back? I think I have some questions for—”

She began to rise and without thinking, I grabbed her arm, pulling her back down. I tugged her chair closer to my side, a hand gripping her chin tightly once she was within reach.

“Let me make one thing clear, little wolf, I have no reason to be jealous because you are mine. I’m your mate and I’m the one whose face has been buried in your cunt, not him.”

A gasp caught in her throat and my thumb brushed over her bottom lip gently as it parted.

“You knew exactly what you were doing when you put on this dress and I’ll give you credit, it was a good plan, but flirt with him again, and I’ll spread you open on this table and make him watch. Do you understand me?”

She nodded tightly, eyes growing darker at the threat.
