That said, since the shops weren’t selling much yet, the points might only be attractive if they could buy the food he made.

What if he made his food only available by points? His C-class food could be exclusively bought by points, and he could charge more in turn, and without people noticing it.

Only his food was the option for now, so that wouldn’t be difficult. What he needed to value well was other things that would be available for points purchase.

The goal was to buy things for cheap and to charge more for his food, which was a win-win for him.

He thought for a couple of moments, grabbing paper so he could doodle his calculations.

He was not good with blocks of texts, but he was decent in basic accounting as a business owner.

After a while, for simplicity’s sake, he decided to use how much the Hearth Market valued awakened cores as points. For example, the Hearth Market would buy three awakened cores for 1 gold, when it could be sold for at least twice of that in the Town.

So, since he was selling a C-Class food for 10 gold, the required points would be 21 points. Rounded up because he could, he then priced it to 25 points.

On the other hand, D-Class food would then be priced at 10 points, and E-class food for 5 points.

Doing this, he’d also be far less pressured to cook for others, and earn more of the materials he needed in the process.

As for buying things with it, the ultimate win would be to buy something for half its usual price by using points, but a bit of discount would suffice. It would all depend on who he was talking with (people he didn’t like would definitely need to pay up a lot) and the haggling that came with it.

For example, if an item would cost him 1 gold, he could—maybe—exchange it for a lesser amount of points, but they would still exchange it because some things could only be bought with points.

Of course, he’d have to list things he actually needed, and then assign a range of points to getting ingredients he did not have. That’d depend on the quality of the ingredient (including its state when it was given to him), and he’d definitely give a good price if it was uprooted properly and could be replanted.

He got Tumble to create a peg board for him and then they’d write or carve the letters in wooden blocks they could snap into place. This way, they could adjust the announcements accordingly.

It was also quite convenient for other staff members to make their own notes and announcements as long as they didn’t lose the small letters by accident.

He placed them in front of the island counter so anyone who wanted to go to the kitchen would be able to read it immediately.

As for Micc and Ranran, they were free to make food in the kitchen, but he would also recommend that if they manage to make essence food, they’d price it according to the point board.
