Chapter 289: Staff Members in Action

While the Innkeeper and the other powerhouses were outside, the Inn was managed by the remaining staff members: Micc, Tumble, Ranran, and Haurus.

By this time, the Inn was never without a customer anymore. Sometimes, it was only a small group, but the average increased as time went on.

The goblin did not back down and Buwaya raised his hand and poked at the little one’s wide green forehead. “Listen here, I’m not sure you understand. Where’s your owner? What’s a little slave doing talking to customers?!”

“Tumble is no slave! Tumble is proper-staff!!”

His tone apparently irked the man, and he raised his hand, prepared to really slap the thing. This person was already well into the toughened stage, and it would definitely hurt a little green goblin—whose race could not go beyond the Awakened level—if not kill him outright.

Pang appeared at the side, prepared to kick the bastard out, but then he saw the goblin’s sharp eyes and also remembered how hard the little one trained in the [Staff Training Room].

Buwaya’s people gasped, confused at first, before finally stepping forward to intervene. However, a stone wall appeared in front of them, and a fluffy panda stood on top. “Let them be,” he said. “Or we will kick you out, too.”

While the men were deliberating what to do, the battle on the other side of the wall continued.

At some point, Buwaya decided to ram the back of his head, thinking the goblin would be hit instead of his face. Unexpectedly, just before his head touched the ground, the goblin jumped back with impressive agility.
