She scratched her head, looking sheepish. “But, I’m really sorry … It’s been so long since I last set foot in the palace that I got a little lost on the way for three hours.”

Three hours of wandering? That actually was a whole expedition!

Once Primrose reached the ground, she blinked in surprise, only now realizing just how tall Solene was compared to her.

She wasn’t as tall as Edmund, but still … Primrose had to tilt her head back just to meet her gaze. Otherwise, her eyes would only land on Solene’s perfectly round breast instead.

And that wasn’t fair at all!

Primrose let out a deep sigh, as if weighed down by sorrow. “I’m fine. His Majesty already sent Lady Leah into exile earlier.”

She forced a bittersweet smile, playing the part perfectly. “Well, what can I say? Maybe she was right … maybe I really am not good enough for my husband.”

And let’s be honest, if there were a ’Husband of the Year’ award, Edmund wouldn’t even make the nominations.

After all, he didn’t even bother to get her a wedding ring!

She still wanted a ring!

“Your Majesty, don’t say that!”

Solene’s sudden outburst startled Primrose so much that she almost dropped the book she was holding.

“You’re perfect for His Majesty!”

Before she could even react, Solene suddenly grabbed her hands, and this time, the book really did slip from her grasp, landing with a dull thud on the floor.

“If anyone dares to say you’re not good enough, then don’t listen to them!” Solene’s voice was firm. “They’re too blind to see the greatness in you!”
