“You’re alive,” he said with a relieved sigh. “You’re really still alive.”

Primrose nodded in his arms, unwilling to let go of their embrace. The thought of almost dying was still haunting her, and she couldn’t help imagining what Edmund would have done if he had seen her die again.

“Yes… I’m alive,” Primrose whispered softly.

Edmund gently explained everything to her, including how Salem had been clinging to the back of the carriage from the very beginning.

“Even so, isn’t it dangerous for him to go alone?” Primrose asked, worried filling her voice. “You should go back to him.”

“I will,” Edmund replied calmly. “But I can reach him in less than thirty minutes. So for now… let me stay and look after you a little longer.”

After that, he asked the doctors to come back into the room so they could examine the sudden burst of magic energy now flowing through Primrose’s body.

Dr. Celdric might not be as skilled as Leofric when it came to magic, but at the very least, he could still understand what was happening to Primrose.
