Chapter 325: Training Partner

Currently, both Amon and Scarlett were sitting at the edge of the river.

Amon was rubbing his wrist at the spot where Scarlett had bitten him.

His body slightly aching from her beating.

Two small holes had formed on his wrist, as if a snake had bitten him.

She hadn’t sunk her fangs too deeply inside. Just lightly, and she had drunk some blood.

Meanwhile, Scarlett was licking her lips, savoring the sweet taste she had just taken from Amon’s fresh blood.

The clear water continued to flow smoothly in the river, making a soothing sound.

With a curious expression, Amon finally broke the silence. “So, how was it?”

Scarlett raised an eyebrow and looked at him sideways. “What was how?” she asked in return, trying to act nonchalant.

“Hehe~” Amon giggled. “Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m asking. How did it taste? My blood.”

For some reason, it felt so weird to ask something like that to her. This was really weird.

With a casual shrug, she replied, “It was just like blood. It’s not my first time drinking human blood. It’s normal.”

But of course, Amon could see she wasn’t being honest.

“Ohh! How many humans have you eate– I mean, have you drunk blood from? Like directly from their bodies. Like you did with me?” Amon questioned curiously.

She shook her head tiredly and sighed. “I have drunk from a few humans.”

Oddly, Amon felt some kind of… jealousy? Nope, not jealousy. She’s a vampire. It’s normal for her. Why would he feel jealous? He’s not feeling any jealousy!

Then she looked at him with a predatory smile.

“You are the lucky one… since you are the first one who didn’t die after I drank your blood. All those humans were killed by me after I drank their blood.”

Amon’s breath hitched. His body stiffened at her words.

’Damn! They died by her hands!’

So it was a good thing for him. Not only was he alive, but those men she had bitten were also dead.

The tiny jealousy vanished as Amon nodded in slight satisfaction.

Scarlett couldn’t understand why Amon was looking satisfied. She stared at him as if he was getting weirder and weirder. He seriously had some mental issue.

“Hah. Anyways, I am going from here,” she said flatly as she got up from her sitting position.

Amon also stood up. “If you are going, then why should I stay here?”

She didn’t respond to his comment and started walking toward the village. Amon followed her from behind.

His gaze fixed on the sway of her hypnotic hips.

“Hey, can you… practice with me every day?” he asked while looking at her.

Scarlett stopped walking and turned her face backward.

Instantly, Amon looked forward.

With a confused expression, she asked, “What do you mean, practice with you?”

“I mean I want you to train me… or just spar with me every day. Just like how we did now, but a little more easygoing. It will be helpful for me.”

She crossed her arms and looked at him coldly. “Why would I do that? Why should I train with you? I have no reason to help you.”

With an urgent tone, Amon replied, “Please don’t say that! You can drink my blood one time in three days.”

Though losing too much blood is not good, having mana inside the body helps create blood according to the body’s needs much faster.

Which means he could donate her some blood.

Her eyes turned dangerous. “You think I am desperate for blood?”

She stepped closer and continued sharply, “Listen, I don’t need your blood. If I want, I can ask any man in the village, and he would give it willingly. Why do you think I need to take it from you?”

She retorted. Her words had a point.

Amon’s brain started to work at full speed, trying to find a reason. But he found none.

In this case, Amon decided to use his lowest method.

With a desperate expression, he rushed beside her and held both her hands. “Please, Scarlett, help me!”

She was surprised.

With pleading eyes, he continued, “Please, Scarlett! I don’t have anything. And what I want the most is a strong training partner like you! I want to fight you every day, please. Blood is all I can offer. So don’t say no.”

He tightened his grip slightly, looking at her as if his life depended on it. “I’ll listen to you. I won’t tease you. I’ll behave. Just… train me.”

She tried to pull her hands back, irritation flashing across her face. “You are seriously annoying.”

But he didn’t let go.

“Please! Please!”

He lowered his head slightly, his voice softer now. “I really want to become stronger.”

Scarlett stared at him for a long moment.

“I… I’m still too weak. Surviving that dark forest was almost impossible for me. I don’t want to stay like this anymore. I want to be stronger… please! help me.” His voice quivered as the last words left his lips, heavy with desperation. His hands trembled, betraying the storm of emotions raging inside him.

“You..You can ask someone else for help.” She said to him with hardened face.

“Who? I don’t know anyone else. Roland and Kael… they’re busy. They have to oversee the village all day. You… you’re the only one I truly know now, the only one strong enough to help me. Please, Scarlett.” His head remained bowed as he spoke.

Then she sighed deeply, looking completely tired of his persistence. He was even trembling with voice as if he was on verge on crying.

“Fine,” she said with clear reluctance. “I’ll help you. But don’t expect me to go easy on you.”

For a second, Amon froze.

His face brightened instantly. The sadness vanished as if it had never been there at all.

Well he was just acting. Which actually worked.

“Really?!” He smiled widely.

She closed her eyes then sigh again. Before she could react.

He pulled her into a tight embrace, his sturdy frame enveloping her softer form. Amon could feel the warmth of her body against his chest, her twin heavy, very soft mound pressed agaisnt his chest

But he know he couldn’t be greedy.

While Scarlett’s eyes widened in shock.

“Wha—?!”

But before she could say anything more, he released her and ran at full speed toward the village.

“HAHA! I got a training Partner!”

Scarlett remained standing there, completely stunned.

A few seconds later, her face turned bright red with embarrassment and anger.

Her fists clenched tightly.

“Amon!!!” she yelled angrily.
