Kyubi laughed, then headed into the tunnels. The once sparsely populated Majesty controlled tunnels, now absolutely brimmed with a mixture of Majesty’s children.

Kyubi chuckled. “Can you fight in human form?”

She continued through the tunnel, which was much noisier now that she had been integrated into the hive-mind. She found that the royal guard were incredibly talkative and issued orders almost constantly to those under their command.

She had to acknowledge the sheer mental fortitude Majesty must posses to handle the communication of every singe one of her offspring.

When Kyubi finally arrived at the ascent to the first hostile floor, she stopped and looked on curiously. “Hmm, what’s this? They attacked relentlessly before, now they wait patiently like dogs brought to heel. Let’s see if they are trained enough not to bite with provocation, stand ready everyone.”

The royal guard reinforced the front line as Kyubi moved forward, the patterns from her true form appearing along her flesh and tails, which ignited at the tips.

In the blink of an eye she was at the base of the ascent with everything up to the royal guard engulfed in flames which ravaged the mind, body and soul of everything caught in them.

Kyubi’s cackling laughter echoed through the tunnels, drowning out the thunderous chittering of the burning tide of The Carrion.

“How silly I’ve grown! They say love is blind, but it’s truly foolish in the most beautiful way. I even forgot my own power. I hope they never have to see me get serious, I don’t like what it does to me…”

As she spoke, lost in the distraction of her emotional revelry, one of The Carrion’s elite managed to sneak up on and slash her. Golden blood splashed on the ground, but not so much as a yelp left her lips, though it may simply have been being held back by her furiously gritted teeth.

In an instant she was drenched in blood, barely enough of the elite was left for it to be called remains.

“You… Filthy… insects…” Kyubi groaned the three words as she endured the pain of resealing the damaged divinity channels and everything else cut by The Carrion. “Please don’t be watching my loves…”

She transformed into a lycan-like state, somewhere between her true form and her human form, but lacking any trace of the elegant beauty she usually embodied.

Bestial fangs pierced through her gums and lips, the patterns that covered her ignited and sent channels of fire burning through her flesh and her fingers and toes split with gorey brutality to let the thicker claws grow out.

Patches of messy fur sprouted from her usually flawless skin and her whiskers sprouted from her cheeks.

The carnage that followed could only be described as genocidal.

Danielle was a prodigy among the Bashe clan and likely the most naturally gifted individual with less than three stars. “She has three stats at over ten-digits if I recall correctly, I wonder if I should tell Carl and Klaire that mine, Lillim’s and the others are all unquantifiable? She looked around, becoming slightly flushed, then looked down at herself and grew a bit more flushed. “First things first, a bath, then I have to make that desert…” She then noticed the gaping hole in her kimono. “…Then fix my kimono, or make a new one. Ugh, pests.”

Kyubi ran back through the tunnels, growing more embarrassed with every step. ’How far did my rampage take me?’

’Good, it will give my children a reason to slaughter the scum that hurt the master.’

Kyubi chuckled a little. ’You hold a grudge even better than I do. Good girl, never forgive anyone that hurts him.’

“No, Klaire’s enjoying his company for now, I just have to get lunch ready and watch the children when they are done exercising, make a special desert for my little boy and then get dinner ready if they aren’t finished.”

’Mistress Kyubi, may I ask you to come visit me sometime? It’s difficult to explain, but talking to you, Mistress Klaire and Master has a unique effect on my mind. I find it… engaging? I’m not sure that’s the correct word.’

As she returned home, she found Gillian and Scylla waiting outside.

“I’m not flustered, but a lady should always be presentable. Please come in, you can make yourselves comfortable whilst I bathe and clothe myself in something not ruined.”

Scylla was shocked to see Gillian just give a slight bow and thank her before agreeing, then Kyubi went inside and pointed to the cupboards where they could find mugs and the coffee.

She the kidnapped herself to the bath, which she sank into with a sigh of relief.
