As Kyubi listened to Scylla describe the vision she had of her dress, Carl and Klaire were getting dressed.

“You’re in for a surprise when we get back, Kyubi’s actually wearing something other than a Kimono.”

“What? How the hell did that happen?”

“Her usual outfit got ripped, so she’s wearing our clothes. Enjoy the eyeful of Kyubi in a boyfriend shirt.”

“You both look amazing in anything, but maybe we should get you in a kimono and do a fashion swap.”

“I do like that style of dress, but I don’t think something so elegant would suit me. I’m more of a combat trouser and battle shirt girl outside of pyjamas.”

Carl moved over and kissed her, then accepted the punishment as he told her she never had much fashion-sense.

With that done, Carl and Klaire portaled home, finding the living room and kitchen space abandoned they looked at each other then headed upstairs and knocked on the bedroom door.

“Come in!” Kyubi shouted from inside, letting the door hiss open, revealing the sight of Kyubi standing behind Scylla in the dream wedding dress the two had put together.

The bodice now ran forward from her shoulders and then moved into a point at her waist, where two triangular patches of lace filled the gap between the bodice front and corseted back.

Below the waist, the dress became a loose tub, that trailed behind her, while her arms were covered in scale-pattern lace sleeves that were separate from the main body of the dress.

With a gasp, Klaire gave her evaluation. “You look gorgeous Scylla, the dress looks fierce, elegant and sexy all in one.” She then gave Carl the same elbow jab Scylla gave Gillian.

“You look beautiful, the dress really suits you, but don’t you still have a few months to get ready?”

“Ugh, men…” Scylla groaned, before saying that Gillian had said the same thing. “…Was Carl like this about your wedding?”

“Well, no. We got married without a ceremony, just Lillim saving Carl’s life after he made a cursed ring.”

“Wait, so you guys never had a ceremony?”

“Not really, it was still special, but we didn’t get to make a day of it.”

Carl stood quiet, pinching his chin in thought as he listened to Scylla explain everything. “Well, honestly I’m a little disappointed about how it happened with us, I still feel guilty about it…”

“Carl, don’t worry about it.” Klaire replied, rubbing his back, before smiling and nodding her head violently as he whispered something in her ear and passed her something that he synthesised.

“Kyubi… Will you marry us?” They asked the question together.

Suddenly Scylla’s dress changed back and before he knew why, Carl was kicked out of the room.

“Carl, don’t come in! We’ll be down shortly, make some coffee!”

Carl was entirely perplexed, but did as he was told, the crushing tension of waiting for a response to his proposal strangling him as he did so.

When the girls came down a short while later, Klaire came to his side. “Sorry, it seems Kyubi was using illusions to show us an altered version of the dress…”

klaire explained the situation then they both turned to Kyubi with a ring extended.

Kyubi broke down with the absence of the issue of Scylla’s state of dress, then was hugging them and kissing them before they knew it. “Yes! I would love to marry you both! I was actually just thinking about that earlier. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

“Sorry Scylla, don’t get the wrong idea, we aren’t going to steal the spotlight. We’ll get married after Klaire and I turn nineteen so you guys can be the centre of attention for a while and make your point.” Carl told her between the loving assault.

“No, honestly, that never crossed my mind. I’m happy for you guys. I’m more surprised you’re waiting at all to be honest.”

“Well, I also owe Klaire a ceremony, so I want to take some time and make sure they both get the wedding they want. It will be a wedding for all of us, so it will take a good amount of planning.”

After that, they retrieved Gillian and all discussed the occasion, Carl keeping a tally of what they figured they’d want to make sure they had enough DIV to do what they wanted.

In the end it seemed like it would be cost-effective in the long run to create a permanent facility for such things, one which could be decorated to personal preference and after Carl mentioned Lillim’s impending bar they all agreed that the faction’s relationship dynamics would shift enough to warrant it.

When the kids returned an hour later, they were all in dire need of a bath and something to eat and so the girls headed to the baths on the world once belonging to Tiamat and the boys had a bath at the house.
