The little fox girl slumped against Carl. “Night Papa…” The little girl then followed Kyubi to Klaire and hugged her legs. “Night Mama Klaire… Here’s Papa’s thingy.” She then handed Klaire Carl’’s slate while he patted his pockets in bewilderment.

“Neo Adminstra activate,” Carl tapped a few options and assigned Kitsunoko to Kyubi and officially assigned Levi to Klaire, then the two foxes made their way inside. “Now time to complete my other mission. Noah release the vampiric-blood hawk, shdow-shifter and Kreckle.

“Sure why not, after what I’ve just seen, I’m done caring about something so basic… “Papa”.” He laughed as he hit some buttons on a remote.

Carl didn’t move much as these gate opened, just turned to face his dull shadow.

The blood hawk only stood about sixty-five centimetres tall, with a wingspan of ninety, its serrated beak was made to carve through flesh though and it would take on a non-physical form until it was sure it could land a blow.

The shadow-shifter was gone as soon as the gate opened, its completely strange shadowy existence made it able to disappear into the ground and appear wherever it wanted.

The Kreckle was a strange creature, chameleon-like in appearance but whatever it looked at became impossible for others to see clearly if they were within a certain range and its unusual eyes made it able to look at pretty much anything, including itself.

As his shadow began to undulate he drove his fist into the ground and ripped a living shadow out of it. Then extended a hand like a striking snake to the hawk slamming them both into the ground, then he dug his foot in as an anchor point as the Kreckle’s tongue slammed into him, then he grabbed that as well and yanked it toward him with the subtle pops of its own feet becoming unstuck from the floor.

“Now be good and sit still for a moment.” The three dazed creatures sat tame before him, Noah had run out of comments to make, just watching in disbelief instead.

Carl retrieved a few materials from his armlet, including three vials of his own blood pre-loaded with DIV as instructed by Lillim, who was smiling smugly as she noted he had also withdrawn a demon beast heart and liquid malice. Knowing he was using things he gained from her training was a proud moment for her.

“Activate Neo Primordia, use the liquid malic, demon beast heart and my own blood as substitutes.”

Once again the creatures and materials glowed and collided then the light died out completely. then all the shadows in the area were dragged to the space they collided, slowly forming an egg, which burst as opposed to hatching.

As all the shadows returned to normal, the shadows that erupted formed into a large bird which stood three metres tall and had a wing span twice that.

It wasn’t feathered but rather completely made of shadow that rested on a skeletal structure similar to when Squidge only shifted his outermost layers in flight.

Its eyes were blood red like a demons and the skeletal structure at the base of the wings broke through the shadow and formed two spines at the base of its neck which curved around to its back as though for a rider to hold.

“Demonic shadow-pheonix and Wreath. Sorry, I wish I could keep you buddy, I don’t want to get too attached though, do you hate me?” Wreath nuzzled him carefully with the non-serrated edge of his beak.

Carl clenched his fists, he hated the idea of the skill Neo Chimerism. “Please don’t, atleast the animals I use to make you don’t stop existing completely, you remember right…”

“Please just stop, hurt me or something, so I don’t feel so bad.”

“No, deal with it…” It’s attempt to annoy him instead only made Carl laugh and tear up.

“Head up high for a sec, I’ll get this over with before I chicken out. Noah, last three.”

The light-stalker was a living flame that seemed completely confused. it could sense an essence above it wished to cleanse, it sense a darkness that threatened to extinguished it and yet before it was a creature whose glory it wished to illuminate for all to see and yet it couldn’t understand why it was surrounded by such creatures.

The askplian snake was half coiled and reared, its fangs a tool for healing rather than a weapon and it sensed pain from everyone nearby. It was desperate to help and yet it felt conflicted, as some of those creatures were its antithesis and tools of harm.

Carl walked towards them all and bowed respectfully. “Please, help me. I won’t lie I need to sacrifice you. I don’t want to, but I need to understand my power so I don’t make a stupid mistake and hurt people. I need something balanced to help me in facing the challenges to come. To stay my hand if I raise it hastily and to raise its own if I act to slowly.”

The creatures sensed his inner conflict, his desire to stay true to his morals and his knowing he will one day have to ignore them for the greater good. They were all confused, but their instincts told them he needed their help and they should give it and they moved toward him together and assured them they would help.

Carl withdrew more vials of infused blood and the last of his wyvern scales. “Activate Neo Primordia using these three, my blood and the scales.

This time the merger created an effect the same as Levi, albeit on a much grander scale which included galaxies and nebulae rather than just suns. The merger was even more blinding as well, even Lillim struggled to look.

As the light passed a platinum wyvern stood, wings trimmed with white fire rather than skin like a normal wyvern.

“Creator… I sense your conflict. Be assured I am grateful for this chance to help you find the balance you seek. I suggest you prepare yourself and call my darker-half, the longer you take, the more pain your heart will endure. Now make us whole.”

Carl couldn’t stop the tears this time, but he gritted his teeth and nodded. “Holy-scale wyvern and Redemeer… Activate Neo Chimerism and don’t ask if I’m sure because I’m not but it has to happen.” He couldn’t help but rant and vent at the system.

The two pets began to glow, then collided into what looked like a sun resting immovably in the mouth of a black hole.

Then it imploded into nothingness, taking all light with it, before exploding and bathing everyone in a light that reminded him of Samael’s entrance in the past.

“Creator. Do you need comforting?” The voice was stoic, neither amicable nor hostile, it simply asked because it felt it should.

“No, I have to stomach this. I have to remember this.”

“Being both wise and foolish is not balance, it will only extend your suffering. Look at me.” As he spoke, Carl looked to it, a flying monochromatic serpent with wings formed of both black and gold fire. “You created me, to mourne the loss of those used to do so is right, but if you do not also celebrate my birth then their sacrifice is proven meaningless already.”

As arrogant and self-important as the words might’ve sounded, they did reach Carl and he was able to discern their true meaning. “I’m sorry, I was being childish, thank you and welcome.”

They went and signed the contract that led to the awkward moment we had to get Equinox to sign and he didn’t have arms to hold a pen. The scenario was Lillim’s “favourite moment in two-thousand years” followed by laughter that refused to yield.

“Grandma, if you don’t figure this one out, I’m telling all your daughters younger than two-thousand you said that… Guessing there’s a fair few.”

That was enough to make her teach Equinox to use mana to sign contracts in the same way demons without hands do.

“We just came to say goodnight. We brought her siblings to.” Carl couldn’t help but internally laugh at the absurdity of the situation, it was one thing having Squidge and Levi call him “Dad” but Kitsunoko looked human enough to cause a stir if she called him “Papa” in front of people.

“I already said goodnight Papa, but thank you for bringing my other Mama.” The young girl said, making him well aware his presence was more a distraction than anything. “Mama Klaire can you stay here tonight, I want to be with both of you.

“Sorry Carl, looks like I’m spoken for tonight, she’s too cute.”

“No worries, Goodnight everybody. Squidge looks like it’s guys night tonight.”

’Oh joy. six hours of stressful sleep follow by an hour of cleaning Mum’s crumbs.”

Despite the rejection and the whining, Carl truly felt happy in that moment…
