“But who is this?” Caleb asked, looking at Neil with narrowed eyes.

He didn’t like any man being near Cynthia, it gave him insecurity and a strange sense of irritation.

“It is him I wanted to talk to you about.” Cynthia’s words were like swords piercing into Caleb’s heart, he hoped this would finally be the day.

But she was going to talk about another man.

“What is it?” he asked, masking his emotions.

“It would be better to talk once we are away from the crowd.” Cynthia replied, the topic of the lost elven world couldn’t be brought up here.

“Oh you are here Caleb!” just then the voice of a male warden interrupted them.

Caleb was so curious about the relation between the two, but for now he could not ask.

“Ah yes, I am indeed here, nice to meet you again.” The two began to talk and soon Caleb was dragged away to meet the others.

Hoping she would show discomfort or jealousy.
