Chapter 127: The Twin Guardians of Floor Fifty
The next few floors were more focused on traps instead of monsters.
Illusion traps, magic suppression fields, and collapsing floors were scattered everywhere.
But traps were not really a problem for the party because of their spells.
“The designers of this Labyrinth are sadistic,” Aaric muttered as he saw what the traps were meant to do while they walked leisurely through the floors.
Floor forty-nine was slime hell. It was littered with different types of slimes, each designed to perform one kind of attack with frightening proficiency.
Our heroes obtained skill scrolls like Golem Creation and Corrosion from this floor.
They entered the fiftieth-floor boss room and found themselves in a grassy field with a centaur archer standing solemnly ahead, a bow on his back and his gaze fixed on the party.
“Welcome, challengers. I am Equix, as named by the great Demon Lord Rimuru. If you wish to go further, it will be through me,” the centaur said, his tone solemn and commanding.
‘Rimuru must have told them to act like this to make the boss fights feel more dignified,’ Aaric thought, glancing at Daphne and Luna, who were holding his arm and smiling behind his shoulder.
“It is an honor,” Aaric said, playing along. “I am Aaric Hawthorne. And I mean no offense, but I wish to battle you and Bovix together.”
The girls tightened their grip on him and giggled behind his back.
“Are you mocking me?” the centaur growled with narrowed eyes.
“That is the furthest from my intentions. I genuinely wish to test myself against both of you. And if I fail, I will gladly accept my foolishness,” Aaric replied with calm sincerity.
Equix paused and looked at Aaric before tilting his head he though for a moment before nodding.
“Very well. And if you win…” Equix stepped aside and brought something forward. “You will receive this, the full set of Minos Series Armor and sword, two hundred gold coins from the Labyrinth management, and whatever appears in the reward chest when you defeat us.”
He gave Aaric a final glance before leaving to bring Bovix.
Aaric brought his hands to the backs of Luna and Daphne and spanked them lightly.
“You two really can’t control yourselves, can you?” he asked as they puffed up their cheeks in protest.
Daphne hit his chest while Luna bit his shoulder as they teased each other until Equix returned with the minotaur named Bovix.
“I hope you do not disappoint us,” Bovix muttered with a snort as he brandished his bardiche and made a slashing motion, forming a gust of wind that made a deep cut in the ground a little distance away.
The girls released his hands, and Aaric took a step forward as he took out his sword.
“Can I join?” Luna asked.
Aaric turned back to look at her and nodded with a smile. “Of course, angel,” Aaric said.
Aaric and Luna stood at the front. He took the position of the warrior while Luna stayed behind to support.
In front of them, Bovix gripped his bardiche while Equix stood behind him, arrow nocked and ready.
“Do not hold back,” Aaric said with a grin, and in the next instant, the air cracked as he appeared before Bovix and slashed.
Bovix’s eyes widened, and he took a swift step back, blocking the sword slash with his Bardiche. Bovix winced as a shockwave ripped through his Arms, and his Ultra Regeneration worked overtime just to keep him bones from breaking.
“Limiter Release!” Bovix and Equix shouted together as their auras flared, releasing a vast amount of magicules into the air.
Equix released his arrow, and it moved beyond the speed of sound, creating a shockwave. Bovix moved back as the arrow hit Aaric and caused an explosion, scattering dust in the area.
The bosses looked around to see magic circles forming all around them, but they could not do anything about them as the dust cleared and Aaric stood there, entirely unharmed.
Luna raised her wand with a calm smile. “So you don’t feel pain,” she said softly as her spell took effect.
Aaric blurred forward, sword poised to strike.
Bovix and Equix were elite monsters that could destroy nations, yet they could do nothing as their bodies were cut, their torsos separated from their lower bodies in one swift motion. It was a mercy that they did not feel any pain because of Luna’s spell.
Aaric looked at the Minos Set after the bodies of the bosses dissolved into motes of light, ready to be resurrected in some time.
“This is cool,” he said, showing it to Daphne and Luna.
The armor was made of mithril and shaped in the image of a minotaur. It came with a great sword with runes carved in it.

The girls nodded with a giggle, and Aaric moved on to inspecting the skill scrolls after storing the armor in his pouch.
“Limiter Release, Ultra Regeneration, Lightning Charge, Explosion Arrow… and oh, Magic Jamming,” Aaric muttered as he read.
“This is a good one,” he said, showing the scroll to the girls.
“Good skill, but with the ultimate and unique skills in this world, I don’t think it’ll do much,” Daphne said with a shrug.
“It will when used with Insight Architect,” Aaric replied with a grin.
They stood in a circle as the skill scroll floated in front of them, granting them the Magic Jamming skill.

All three heard the voice in their minds and exchanged glances.
“You were saying?” Aaric asked, wiggling his eyebrows at Daphne.
Daphne giggled and shook her head. “Let’s go further.” she said.
“Let’s come back tomorrow. We can enjoy the city a bit,” Aaric said, and Luna nodded in agreement.
“Well… I want to explore a little more, Love.” Daphne said and held Aaric’s face, giving him a deep and passionate kiss.
“We’ll meet you at the inn,” Aaric said, holding her by the waist after they broke apart.
Daphne nodded and entered the door for floor fifty-one after storing the magic cores in her pouch along with the Orichalcum Spear they got from the reward chest.
Aaric and Luna returned to their room at the inn.
“How about a bath before we explore the city?” Luna suggested, swinging his arm playfully.
“Why not? Do you want to go first?” Aaric asked, smiling at Luna.
Luna paused and wrapped her hands around Aaric’s neck and stood on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear. “I was thinking we go together,” she whispered.
Aaric paused, his hands holding Luna by the waist tightly as there was no distance between their bodies.
“Are you sure?” he asked, running a hand down her back.
Luna nodded with a blush on her cheeks. “I love you, and I want to show it to you,” Luna whispered.
Aaric smiled and held Luna’s butt, lifting her up as she wrapped her legs around his waist. “I won’t be holding back then,” Aaric said with a grin, and they entered the bathroom as Luna nibbled on his ear.
An hour later, Daphne returned to the room only to hear moans and grunts coming from the bathroom.
She considered joining but shook her head. “Our first time should be just the two of us,” she whispered, blushing, before leaving to explore the Labyrinth further.
A/N
I know many of you are outraged that I did not give you a lemon again, but I’ll take my time with that and write one properly once I’m confident I can do it right.
But for lemons, you need me to keep writing and for that, I need your power stones and reviews.
