A/N: I re-read the previous chapter and omg I am so bad at the 1st person POV, some of you might be getting an aneurysm. Sorry about that, I’ll try better.
I wrote these chapters because I wanted to write thanquol, it you don’t like them feel free to skip this chapter, it wont have much impact on the overall story.
Some time ago
Aaric flew high above the sky, looking for something to punch and unleash his strength.
His speed was pretty remarkable as he flew over an island crawling with rat-like people. They were organized in formation like an army, with boats ready as if they were preparing for an invasion.
Their boats were pointed directly toward his island.
‘Did that one just stab his comrade?’ Aaric thought, just as the stabbed rat suddenly exploded.
His eyes shifted to the rat on the stage, it seemed he was the one who caused it.
Aaric smirked and rose higher into the sky to make a more impressive entrance. He then dove down at high speed, landing in front of the lead rat with a grin.
The rat wore tattered, rune-covered robes and shouted like he was high on far too many drugs.
(Thanquol POV)
This idiot just landed in front of me with my whole army present does he have a death wish? Yes! That must be it. He wishes to die by my mighty hands!
I take a warpstone from my pocket and start chewing it. Power surges through me, my eyes glowing bright.
He watches this and raises an eyebrow. Of course! This must be his species’ way of showing fear, yes!
“Kneel before my might and serve me!” I order the one with no facial hair. Such a peculiar species… he must envy my looks.
The one in front of me raises both eyebrows and mutters, “I guess we have the same language that’s convenient.” Then he laughs! Laughs! How dare he!?
“Well, let’s start with introducing ourselves and what this party is about. I’m Aaric,” he says, introducing himself.
“This party?” I sneer, gesturing to my army. Another soldier stabs someone of course, I make him explode.
“These are the great armies of the Skaven! The servants of the Great Horned Rat! With my great intellect, we have devised a way to invade new lands!” I proclaim, gesturing toward the boats. I didn’t make them, but no one dares refute my claim.
“And we will subjugate all lands and bring them under the Great Horned Rat!” I roar, and my army cheers.
“It is a sign from our god that the first prey has appeared before me himself!” I shout, and with a flick of my staff, I unleash warp lightning at the figure.
“Yes!-Yes! Burn-kneel-beg, skreee!” I cackle with a delightfully beautiful laugh.
But he only laughs with me, raising his hand and swatting the lightning aside. My eyes widen. How… how did he?
“Boneripper!” I shout. My loyal servant bursts out of a carriage I had hidden him in.
He is a magnificent being, crafted by Clan Moulder and Skryre: three arms—one a sword, one a bolter, one a claw. He roars and howls in my name as he charges at Aaric, trampling lesser Skaven beneath his feet.
Aaric tilts his head at Boneripper. The construct fires warp energy shots from its bolter arm, but Aaric blocks them with an invisible shield conjured with a raised palm.
No matter! Boneripper will crush him with its fists! I retreat to a safe distance and start crushing warpstone on the ground.
Then, madness! An illusion! A trick by this Aaric! He conjures an ice wall just as Boneripper’s fist is about to land.
The thunderous impact shatters the wall with a shockwave, but the little shit has already leapt away.
I must be at full strength to defeat him! I snort the crushed warpstone and my body trembles as my eyes glow with unholy power.
“Skreeee!” I screech as energy floods through me.
I raise my staff and blast warp fire at him, burning the very air itself. Surely he will be incinerated!
“Boneripper, kill-slay! Tear him apart!” I command gleefully.
(Third POV)
Aaric grinned as he fought Boneripper while his silver flame clashed against Thanquol’s corrupted fire. He relied on his physical strength to battle boneripper directly.
Boneripper roared, smashing its fists down while firing chaotic blasts from its bolter. Aaric drew his wand, sending a powerful gust of wind to the ground that propelled him backward.
An explosion erupted where he had stood a moment earlier, shockwaves tearing through the battlefield.
The Skaven army descended into frenzy, trying to swarm Aaric. But Thanquol’s reckless magic and Boneripper’s area-of-effect attacks killed more Skaven than Aaric ever needed to.
Any ratling that did get close was dispatched in a blink.
Aaric unleashed a severing charm at Boneripper. The construct roared and raised its arm to block, earning a massive gash down to the bone.
“Idiotic! Foolish!” Thanquol screamed, chewing another warpstone as he fired spell after spell killing his own army more than harming Aaric.
“No-fail! No-fail! Win! Win!” he screeched madly.
Aaric’s brow furrowed. His magic is powerful, but chaotic. His eyes shifted into a flower-like pattern, perception sharpening.
He propelled himself forward, conjuring an ice sword.
Boneripper swung its sword-arm and fist simultaneously. Aaric transfigured a pillar mid-path, leaping onto it and rebounding to change direction.
He dodged the sword completely, meeting Boneripper’s fist head-on. His ice blade cleaved through the arm even as the impact hurled him back through the air.
He steadied himself mid-flight, dodging another blast of warp fire and retaliating with a severing charm that tore open Boneripper’s torso. The abomination screamed.
Aaric exhaled, eyes flicking toward Thanquol, who kept blasting at his silver flame. Aaric manipulated his fire to attack Boneripper , then transfigured the ground beneath Thanquol into spikes. The rat dodged frantically, shrieking.
“Warpstone makes me strong, yes-yes!” Thanquol howled. His staff bled green miasma, swelling like smoke and crawling like insects.
Aaric leveled his wand, unleashing a wave of red flame that burned through the miasma. A scream echoed within it as it dissolved.
“Plague! Die-stick! Die-weak! Die die die!” Thanquol shrieked, and the Skaven around him began coughing blood as their skin melted off.
‘Whose side is he even on?’ Aaric thought with a twitching lip, firing a bolt of lightning from his palm. It slammed into Thanquol, sending him tumbling back with a screech.
The rat crushed an amulet. His body healed as nearby Skaven shrieked in agony. “Yes-yes! Pain! Hurt! Heal!” he screamed.
‘So the amulet heals him with the pain of others’ Aaric observed, watching the dying army.
“I don’t even need to fight your army your idiocy is killing them for me!” Aaric shouted, loud enough for all to hear.
The Skaven turned on Thanquol with hatred in their eyes. But he only screamed louder “Must win!” Again and again.
Boneripper screamed as Aaric’s silver flame consumed it. The construct had no defense against the silver fire.
In the shadows, a Clan Eshin assassin clicked his tongue. “Can’t kill him in the air,” he muttered, eyeing Thanquol instead.
Aaric smirked, dodging Thanquol’s wild attacks, flinging spells back, and taunting him.
“How dare!? How dare you insult the great me!?” Thanquol screeched.
Suddenly, he cast sideways, killing the assassin who had crept too close. Other Skaven turned, blades and spells now aimed at him, shouting curses.
Aaric didn’t waste the chance. Chanting in Parseltongue, his flame returned after reducing Boneripper to ash.
He directed it in precise patterns across the battlefield, his free hand inscribing runes into the ground.
The Skaven realized something was happening. They abandoned Thanquol, who started pelting Aaric with desperate spells.
Too late.
Green runes flared across the ground. The Skaven screamed, clutching their ears as whispers in a serpentine tongue invaded their minds.
Green flame-serpents rose from the earth, forming a barrier around the island. The souls of the dying Skaven army were consumed to strengthen it.
Aaric stood outside the barrier, nodding at the carnage once before flying away.
” now they won’t be able to leave the island to enslave and kill” he muttered flying away.
” that was one crazy rat- man tho.” He said looked back at the island, scratching his head.
A/n: gimme power stones inna crush them and do lines like thanquol.
