As I grasped the blue line, Nothing happened. I didn’t hear anyone’s thoughts about me, any experience they had of me, no instead I heard a thudding noise of something falling to the ground behind me.

Turning around, I said in mild surprise. “Kathrine?” Kathrine got up off the floor and looked around, a look of confusion on her face at the surroundings. “Apollo? Where are we? This isn’t your Mindspace? Where is my surroundings I usually come with? What is going on? I felt you call out to me and left the wonderful dream I was just starting to have, to come and have fun.”

I took a moment to look Kathrine up and down. She was naked like I was, in fact she was in the state I had just left her. She had begun to learn to manifest clothes for herself in my Mindspace, it was an illusion, but it could be done, so the fact she wasn’t left me curious.

I outstretched my hand to her, beckoning her over while my other hand remained on the blue line. I felt like I needed to keep hold of it for now, it was instinct. “We are still inside of my Mindspace Kat, We are inside one of my more… Niche powers.”

Kathrine looked around intrigued. She was inside of a power? Inside of Apollo’s mind? So she was two layers deep inside of Apollo? That was intimate…

As Kathrine took my hand, she noticed I was holding onto the blue line still and asked confused. “What are you doing? What are these things?” Kathrine then reached up and touched one of the Tallies of Onyx’s line at random. “Kathrine! Will you stop doing that or I am going to eat you!”

She heard screamed into her head, I also heard it, which I assumed was the result of it being my power, or the fact I was holding onto the blue line. Either way, I heard it and smiled. Kathrine, noticing my look, gave me another confused one in return. “What was that? Why did Onyx suddenly scream at me?”

“These lines are a type of precognition. I can see the thoughts of my loved ones. Every thought they have ever had about me, every emotion. It is recorded on these lines. The tallies are events. The further you go that way we get closer to the present and the further we go that way, we go into the past.”

I touched the Tally next to what Kathrine just touched and relieved a little fantasy Onyx had about me coming home in two days time. She was excited to give me the present and was also miffed that my power was being abused by the slave.

“The tally you touched was from a couple of days ago. It seems you have been messing with Onyx beforehand.” I said, causing Kathrine to look at me confused. “But Apollo, I have never been here before, how could I have- oh…” I watched as the gears began turning inside of her head, she then grabbed the line and went far back before stopping randomly. She then touched the Tally that called out to her.

‘A vague familiar? An entity I have yet to meet but knows me well? I warn you intruder, leave my mind before I take measures, you have my universe’s scent upon your condition, so I am not assaulting you, but be warned.’

Kathrine ignored the threat and moved ahead in the line and picked another Tally. ‘Ah, so it was you. I can not foresee how you are doing this Kathrine, but stop. Foresight is already tricky as it is, you interfering with my mind ahead of time is causing me to lose sight.’

Kathrine was fascinated at this point and saw the whole thing like a game. She was talking with a ghost of the stalker Onyx. It was incredible! She had not even built a report with the stalker yet, and the stalker already knew of her?

Flicking into the future again, Kathrine stopped and touched another Tally. ‘Again? So not only do I have to sit inside of this hole while you fuck Apollo all week, but now I find out you are using his power to torment me? Do this again Hyllus and I will eat your young! I have a taste for it right now.’

Kathrine actually hesitated after that one, she could feel the raw emotions of Onyx, the apex predator, not her friend. The creature was pissed. Kathrine loved her babies after all. Still, she felt that she could sneak in one more, she would just have to go further down the line to not agitate the stalker.

Choosing a final Tally, Kathrine touched it and was met with a dejected sigh. ‘So you already take residence inside of his Mindspace as his slave, brag about it in front of me, then come from the future to torment me even more? That’s it, I am slapping you.’

“That’s why she slapped me… Bitch.” She mumbled under her breath, thinking back to a few months ago. Kathrine then seemed to compose herself and realised I was looking at her with a smirk on my face. “Did you have fun tormenting my Onyx? You do realise because of Onyx’s abilities that you have pretty much just time travelled down her life just to fuck with her?”

Kathrine looked at me confused and I just shook my head. “Go touch Orchids and you will understand the difference.” I then pointed at the other line and Kathrine obliged. “Orchid misses Apollo. I smiled hearing that. It felt like from when I went off with the mercenaries. ‘Goodness, I love that creature.’ I thought warmly before clarifying for Kathrine. “Onyx could feel you because she can see the future and we are looking in the past. Orchid is just being a cute little love bug because she is my cute little love bug.”

“Well, I didn’t mean to, it just happened. I am sure she will forgive me.” I nodded my head. “Of course she will, she understands that you are with me which means I have seen you torment her for the last two years by invading her mind randomly. She has endured that and kept it secret. That deserves rewards and rewards she will get.”

Kathrine looked at me a little jealous before she clocked onto something. “Wait, Apollo, why am I here? And why are you holding onto the blue line? Is it-Whoa!” Kathrine’s eyes suddenly went incredibly wide as she stared off into space.

After a good half a minute of her not speaking, I felt the need to ask. “Kat~? Are you ok?” My voice seemed to get through to her as she nodded slowly while saying. “Yes. I remember everything though. My mind. Apollo, you need to command me to let go, I can’t do it on my own.”

I did as she asked, using my master authority over her to force herself to let go. As I did, the blue line flared up as the wispy purple energy became more prominent and thicker before returning to its original wispy state.

“Cool.” I muttered, putting the pieces together quickly. Kathrine had dropped to her knees, but looked incredibly relieved. “Ugh, I had way too much sex in my twenties, I don’t want to remember that. And remembering giving Birth to Nathanos’ large head… That fucker is lucky I tightened back up let me tell you…” Kathrine shuddered as the memory of the pain she was in flashed through her mind before looking at the blue line.

“So that’s my life? All of it? That is so… Apollo, what is this place?” Kathrine didn’t understand much about Psionics. Her knowledge had improved leaps and bounds since meeting Apollo, but it still paled in comparison to her mother who actually attended Psionic college. What she did know however, is that this place, this power. This wasn’t ordinary, this was beyond.

Kathrine looked around. If these lines represented a person’s life, what were all the balls floating around? She knew her master was amazing, but this place scared her a little. She was honestly beyond relieved that someone as relaxed and carefree as Apollo had this… Place? As she had a bad feeling inside her gut that anyone else would have misuse it, and she didn’t even know what it was!

” I will save us quite a bit of back and forth. This is a power I don’t have full control over, it just manifests from time to time. Most often when I desire information. I placed my hand on the blue line and you manifested in this place, which I assume means you have the information I desire.”

Kathrine gave me a perplexed look. “Information? Apollo, you can ask me anything at any time. I will never keep information from you, it’s impossible. I dare you, ask me about anything. I could have just told you outside your Mindspace instead of you bringing me here.”

“Them.” I simply said, relaying the implication of the conversation I had with Valerica so she knew exactly what I meant by ‘them’, causing Kathrine to blink in surprise.

“Well played.”

There was a pause as Kathrine seemed to think about something then a bright smile graced her lips. “I do not feel their influence inside of this place, I don’t know how-right, Mother- Ask away Darling, I am happy to tell you anything.”
