Chapter 440: Vivid Image
Opening her eyes, she blinked confused for a moment before her augmentations kicked started her memory. The blackout of last night was having a light shed on it, allowing her to remember everything.

Zeona sat upright and immediately regretted it as the effect of the alcohol on her brain was causing an after effect that her body augments hadn’t dealt with yet. As she rubbed her forehead with her metallic arms, trying to comb through her memories for when she took off her synthetic skin.

As she did so, the scene from just before she fell asleep unfolded within her mind, causing her to groan. The drink had made her… Easy. She was glad nothing had happened though and Apollo was a gentleman. That was something she wouldn’t forget anytime soon as she knew most would have taken advantage in such a situation.

Feeling slightly better, Zeona checked the time, it was still dark out, but the clock said eight am. She grunted in displeasure, she was going to be late for a meeting. As she began contemplating just blowing it off, the door to her room opened and Delilah entered, speaking way too loud for Zeona at this moment in time.

“Hey, babes. I gotta go to work before I get in trouble. I’m borrowing a skirt and blouse.” She said as she opened one of Zeona’s wardrobes. “Delilah, I love you, but shut up.” Zeona said massaging her temples. Delilah ignored her as she picked out a couple of items and began changing there.

As she was slipping the skirt on, Delilah spotted something inside the wardrobe and a teasing smile emerged on her face as she picked up the device. “Well, well, well. What do we have here? Are you practising magic by any chance?” She teased, causing Zeona to look up at her in confusion before seeing what Delilah had in her hand and all the blood that still existed in her body rushed to her head, turning her into a tomato.

“Delilah! Put that down now!” Zeona said mortified. Delilah gave Zeona a quick look before running out of the room shouting as she activated it. “Wowzers! How fast is this vibrating? It feels like you could do construction work with this thing!”

Zeona caught up with Delilah immediately, her embarrassment clearing up the lingering effects of last night. She then snatched the ‘wand’ from her friend’s hand and put it behind her back like Delilah had no object permanence.

Delilah placed her hands on her hips, and smiled at Zeona. “So, how long have you and your robotic boyfriend been together for? If I recall, you said that your current vagina was purely for cosmetic reasons and was not for use? It looks like you have been using it.”

Zeona’s flush disappeared as she replied in annoyance. “Well, things change don’t they? I felt the need to release some stress a few months ago and I don’t want to stretch out my goods, so yeah, I got this. Why is that a problem? And don’t call it my boyfriend, that borgist.” She said, folding her arms, but upon noticing the wand still in her hand stopped and placed it behind her back again.

Delilah’s eyes turned squinty as they acted like they were smiling alongside her mouth. “A few months huh? Interesting… And I suppose you will feel the need for stress release after I leave today? Hmmm~~~”

“What are you implying Delilah?” Zeona said as she narrowed her brows, causing Delilah to put her hands in the air. “Nothing. Nothing! Just linking events together. “Now, can you move so I can go get dressed? I can’t go out just in my bra and a skirt can I?”

A silence took over the room as Zeona determined if she should embarrass her friend by doing just that as payback for the invasion of her ‘night time’ privacy. ” Go on then, hurry up before I change my mind and flog you down the street in nothing but your underwear.”

“Ooh, kinky.” Delilah said with a wink before scurrying to the bedroom to finish getting changed. She emerged a few minutes later and Zeona was working on a piece of machinery.

Delilah shook her head and walked to her. Planting a kiss on her friend’s cheek, she said. “See you soon darling. You take care in that war. If I find out you end up doing something stupid, I will scrap you for parts, you understand?”

Zeona turned from a dual process gyro calibrator for one of her projects and smiled at Delilah. “Ok D, I promise, but I have everything under control for now.” Delilah shook her head. “Exactly, ‘for now.’” She said, leaving it at that before walking to the door.

As she opened it, she turned back and the teasing smile returned on her face. “Oh, Zee, Zee, one more thing…”

Zeona met Delilah’s gaze as the woman continued. “Do you remember at the dance club when Apollo sat on that stool and a certain ‘outline’ could be seen in his pants? That was a very vivid image huh?”

Delilah then winked and left Zeona’s apartment, causing the woman to be stunned for a moment as her processor forced her brain to access that memory. Zeona shook her head from the thought and began working on her equipment.

She kept at it for a minute before Delilah’s words kept on repeating in her mind, causing that image to appear over and over. Eventually she spoke in an aggressive tone. “I hate that woman!” Before she made her way back to her bedroom, picking up her ‘wand’ from behind the couch cushion as she did.

Opening her eyes, she blinked confused for a moment before panic set in, causing her to shoot upright. She checked her clothes, first to make sure everything was still on before she realised she was lying in the most comfy bed she had ever been in.

The last thing she remembered was being in that man Apollo’s lap and then. “!!!” Lele’s eyes went wide in fear as she spotted a figure sitting at the bottom of her bed. The fear diminished somewhat upon realising it was a pretty woman with blonde hair, but still pulled up the covers to protect herself.

“About time you awoke child. However, considering the conditions you have been living in, having a chance to sleep off all that fatigue that has been building up inside of you must have been needed.”

Lele didn’t know how to respond. The woman spoke with zero emotion so she couldn’t tell if the woman was angry, happy or as she learnt around Jinx, mentally stable. “Who are you?” Lele asked, a neutral question was less likely to agitate if the woman in front of her was quick to anger.

” I believe Jinx had already given you a rundown on your way here, but I suppose introductions are custom. My name is Sophia. You are in my nightclub that you came to last night. Like Jinx said to you, I go by Mother Sophia to my children, my flock, Jinx is among my children and you are going to be as well.”

Lele looked at Sophia suspiciously, having spent the last few months in the south, she knew nothing came for free. “Why? What do you get out of this?” She asked, causing Sophia to smile as she got out of her chair.

“Smart. That is good. Is that conditioning from being in White Deaths organisation? Or were you smart before Alekos and Evi brought you to this planet?” Lele’s eyes went wide hearing those names, she tried to act brave, not to show any weakness, but after hearing the names of her mummy and daddy after so long. She began bawling her eyes out.

Sophia walked over and sat besides Lele on the bed before rubbing the child’s back in a comforting motion. ” Why? Simple, you are useful to me. Jinx noticed you a while ago and took you under her protection. This was so she could give you to me. Your Psionic power. Sorry, your Superpower, in the future I might need use of. . In return, I will feed you, give you a place to live in comfort and educate you in the ways of the universe.”

Lele sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes. “Is that it? I won’t have to… Do things?” Sophia shook her head. “I assume you are talking about sex work judging from what Jinx has told me about how White deaths organisation currently works? No child, we don’t do that here… Well, the females don’t anyway.. You will have chores such as cleaning, but you won’t be overworked.”

Lele wiped her eyes again as she heard this, it sounded too good to be true after how things have been, but the risk seemed worth it. “Ok.” She whispered meekly, causing Sophia to nod her head and stand up..

“Must be genetic smarts, good. Now, you must be famished. Come child, my cook has just returned from a month’s vacation and I am eager for a feast.”
