Chapter 81: Engagement

The engagement in Northern culture was also called Blood Exchange, coming directly from the way it was done. Both partners would exchange each other’s blood and keep it close to themselves all the time.

Song Ying sighed while looking at them and said, “The engagement ceremony is done. From today onwards, you are his fiancée and you are her fiancé. Do you acknowledge it?”

“I also do,” Ye Jun said, pinching her waist slightly which made her smile widen. “I have to say we’re treading on a thin line. Don’t push your luck, dear.”

“Alright, I’m leaving. I need to think more about that dream,” Meihui announced as she quickly fled the room. “You two can continue being indecent by yourselves.”

“I will also withdraw,” Song Ying bowed to both. “Call me if you need anything, Young Master. Young Miss.”

“I also get that privilege?” Ye Jun asked.

“As Young Miss’s fiancé, you get many privileges. This is just one of them,” Song Ying smiled at him.

“I like it, but please can you address me as something else?” Ye Jun asked. “I’m a bit uncomfortable with that.”

“Then… how should I address you?” Song Ying asked, a bit confused.

Song Liangxue helped him cross the pond and soon they found themselves standing on a small island inside the pond. It was close to the camp but also far enough to keep things private.

They stopped on it.

“So what should I do first?” Song Liangxue asked. “You can take the lead since you know more about it.”

“Alright, but give me suggestions if you have.”

She nodded.

“First, can you use your cultivation manual?” Ye Jun asked. “I can copy cultivation base, even Mysterious Techniques, but I haven’t tried any cultivation manuals. And I also wish to see if I can copy your innate physique.”

“Is it automatic or manual?” she asked in return.
