“What should I do?” Fang Lin thought with panic as he watched what was happening on the screen.

“If I do not do anything now, Andromeda’s life will be in danger!”

Fang Lin wracked his mind as he thought of a way out in this situation. He had to think and act fast for it was Andromeda’s life on the line!

“What’s the problem Lin Fang?” Shamaila tilted her head as she saw Fang Lin’s ashen expression. “Is there anything wrong?”

She tried touching his face, but it felt cold to the touch.

“Are you sick Lin Fang?”

“Dispel your artifact spell.” Fang Lin suddenly said.

“Huh?” Shamaila tilted her head, as she tried to understand what Fang Lin said. “You want me to dispel the effects of my artifact right now?”

“Just do it!” Fang Lin raised his tone, managing to jolt Shamaila out of her stupor.

“Lin Fang you are scaring me…..”

“Just do what I told you to do so, right now.” Shamaila was not able to say anything as she saw Fang Lin’s determined cold, steely eyes.

“Ok…..” Shamaila trembled as Fang Lin felt something ‘disappearing’. It was as if there was a film covering his body that suddenly just…. vanished.

Fang Lin was sure that this was the artifact’s effects being dispelled by Shamaila.

Now that Shamaila removed it, everyone in the mansion saw the two.

“It’s the Lady!” Even though they were about to witness a sacrificial ritual, the guests were still astounded upon seeing Shamaila suddenly ‘appearing out of thin air’.

Shax was about to say something more, but his words got stuck on his throat as he saw something that made his blood run cold.

Fang Lin went behind Shamaila as hooked his left arm in front of her neck. As for his right hand, he had it set in a claw shape, pointing towards her head.

This stance of Fang Lin here obviously states that he is holding Shamaila hostage!

When she talked to Fang Lin earlier, Shamaila thought that Fang Lin was the prince charming that she was dreaming about.

She was very happy when Fang Lin accepted her invitation to her coming of age ceremony.

She could barely contain her excitement as she thought of the fun stuff that they will do later.

But her expectations were shattered by the grim reality of this planet.

“I do not have any hate against you Shamaila…. In fact you can say I am fond of you.” Fang Lin said as he did not do anything to stop her from crying. “But your father started this. I have no choice but to save my friend.”

“So you will just throw away what we had tonight for this friend of yours?” Shamaila replied sobbingly.

“…….” Fang Lin chose to not reply to that. Instead, he glared at Shax, wanting him to speak up.

Shax was currently trembling, as he tried to maintain his rationality.

“You!!!!!” Shax was now itching to get his hands on Fang Lin, but he could not do so with him currently tying up Shamaila. Shax was sure that if her tries to get near to Fang Lin, Fang Lin will undoubtedly hurt Shamaila.

“Cancel that ritual and give my friend back to me. Only after those were done that I will release your lovely daughter.” Fang Lin snarled as he tightened his grip on Shamaila. “Time to make your choice now.”

“…….” While Shax was busy trying to calm himself down, Fang Lin was currently tensed as he observed Shax.

Shax was after all, still a powerful Djinn. He might make a move too fast for Fang Lin to reckon. That is why Fang Lin was focusing his attention on Shax to see if he tries to attack Fang Lin. If he does, Fang Lin will not hesitate to hurt Shamaila.

The man was covered in bandages, which made it impossible for him to see his expression. But Fang Lin could feel that this bandaged man was giving him a derisive smile.

“Guh!” Fang Lin vomited blood as he felt that the knife did not just do a simple damage on him.

After all, that knife pierced from his back right into his heart.

What was worse was there was a very potent poison mixed in that knife! Even with his poison resistance, Fang Lin felt his body slowly being affected by the poison.

Even his heart, which was supposed to be healed by now was still wounded, with the poison preventing it from healing.

Fang Lin tried dispelling the poison but to his chagrin, he could not do so! What made it even scarier was the fact that the poison seemed to have a mind of its own!

“Uncle Stolas!” Shamaila shouted as she saw the bandaged man. “You came!”

“How could I not come?” The bandaged man, whose identity was revealed to to be Stolas replied. He casually flicked his knife as he looked down on the trembling Fang Lin.

“You were so focused on Shax that you did not sense my presence.” Stolas smugly said as he approached Fang Lin slowly.

“Aside from that, I also hid my killing intent, only releasing it when I stabbed you. With that and your attention focused only on Shax, I was able to stab you with my poison knife. Feel’s bad right?”

It was really bad. Because he was wounded in his heart, Fang Lin found it harder to move. Aside from that, the poison that entered his body was able to bypass his poison resistance.

Then to the fear of the two Djinns, Fang Lin grabbed Shamaila’s throat with his right hand. He tightened his grip on her throat as he said something with his bloodied lips.

“Use your artifact again.”

With her breathing slowly being cut off, Shamaila had no choice but to comply.

“No!!!” Shax shouted agonizingly as Shamaila and Fang Lin disappeared on their view once more.

“Tsk!” Now that they were unseen and undetectable, Stolas was unsure on how to attack an unseen Fang Lin without hurting the unseen Shamaila.

In the end, he lowered his knife as he gave Shax an apologetic look.

“My bad, seems like they escaped.”

“Arghh!!!!”

“Hiss….” Fang Lin hissed in pain as he limped away from them mansion. He still had Shamaila on a tight grip, not allowing her to escape.

“Ha, ha.” The effects of Stolas’ poison was beginning to set in, with Fang Lin’s vision starting to turn blurry. He grimaced as he realized he was nearing death now.

He then gritted his teeth as he knew the only way he can survive his current predicament.
