116 Going To the Capital

Rong Yue slept through the three hours flight to the capital, surprising teacher Lu and Wu Hao who was still anxiously studying.

Since he was to go all out this time, he didn’t dare to slack one bit and had even been unable to do the things Rong Yue to do regarding his music. But the girl that had spent the previous day running around was sleeping so soundly.

If Lu San was here, he would have corrected Wu Hao by telling him she had been running around in the two weeks space that had been in between the result release and now.

“I have booked an hotel ahead, we would get a cab to take us there as soon as we get our bags,” teacher Lu said and Rong Yue nodded as she rubbed her eyes sleepily. Since she had no luggage, there was no need for her to wait with them and just went ahead immediately while mumbling that she would wait for them outside.

“If you see an available cab, you can book the cab for us, we would be right there,” Teacher Lu added.

Thankfully she had suggested leaving first because the moment she got to the arrivals, the first thing she saw was a certain person, leaning against the car while his tall and domineering build made everyone look like a prop beside him.

Her brows arched up in surprise and then relaxed immediately. Thinking about it, it was relatively normal since he was either the one that changed the tickets or asked Lu San to do it.

Qin Yichen pushed forward from the car and walked towards her in quick and long strides. Without a word, he bent and wrapped his arms around her tightly.

“Yue’er,” he said tenderly as his hands moved to her hair. All this time, he had longed desperately for her, yet, he also understood that if he stayed by her side and abandoned everything, perhaps he might not even have the power to protect his little gem.

“Come, let’s go,” without remembering that he had changed three tickets, Qin Yichen pulled her along.

Throughout the whole thing, Rong Yue had just stood there stiffly. A part of her wanted to embrace him back, after all, they hadn’t seen in a while.

But the walls guarding her heart was still there and made it hard for her to just charge ahead. So she just stood there lost on what to do. However, unlike him, she still remembered that she had come here as a person of three.

“My teacher and Wu Hao are still inside,” Rong Yue told him as she stretched her hand to pull him back.

Her words were like a switch to Qin Yichen as he stopped and looked back at the entrance to the arrivals with displeasure.

He had rushed over to pick his little Yue’ er up from the airport, and had totally forgotten that there were some other people.

“Hmmm, we would wait for them,” he said reluctantly and led her to wait by the car. The both of them, one with a mask and the other with her hoodie pulled low to hide her face, formed an attractive sight for anyone looking.

Just by looking at their build and aura, it was easy to tell that they weren’t normal people and occasionally, some people even stared for a little more than normal.

After about ten minutes, Wu Hao and Teacher Lu stepped out and looked around for Rong Yue.

Rong Yue waved at them from the car, teacher Lu saw her first but paused as his eyes deepened. The girl was in the same outfit that Rong Yue had worn but the man beside her and the car they were leaning on made him confused.

He nudged Wu Hao who was still trying to call Rong Yue, “isn’t that Rong Yue over there.. the one waving,”

Wu Hao looked and then nodded hurriedly, “yes, she’s the one, quick let’s go!” He said without hesitation, since he had seen Rong Yue move around with Lu San, he was already accustomed to seeing her in a good car and didn’t feel this was weird.

Teacher Lu however, pulled him back, “are you sure, that car and the man beside the girl over there isn’t just anyone,” he warned, afraid that on their first day at the capital, they would offend someone they shouldn’t offend.

“It’s Rong Yue, I’m sure!”

Reluctantly, teacher Lu could only follow him along with caution.

Rong Yue already saw their interaction from afar and could already guess what had happened. Not happy with having to think of something to tell Teacher Lu, she glared at Qin Yichen before pulling her hoodie cap off so he could see her face clearly.

“Teacher Lu,” she called out softly, “we can go in this car, my friend came to pick me up,” she said hurriedly and then opened the passenger seat to enter inside.

Qin Yichen understood what she was trying to do and smiled at her tricks.

“Good afternoon teacher, I’m her master’s student so I decided to pick her up, if you don’t mind, she would be staying with us during her stay here in the capital,” he made his thoughts known quickly now that she was not here to refute.

Teacher Lu nodded, not knowing what to say. Just some months back, they had been thinking of every way to get Rong Yue to go to a good school here in the capital but she had refused, now that he had seen this man and she even had a master, he wondered how she had felt when she said she had no connection.

After all, anyone with eyes would see that this man wasn’t ordinary in any way.

Qin Yichen had drove over all by himself in the limited edition maybach. Now that he had clarified matters, he walked swiftly to the driver’s side and started the car.

“What hotel have you booked?” He asked them after driving out of the airport.

Teacher Lu hurriedly pulled out his phone to see the hotel that was booked, “lakeside,”

Qin Yichen’s brows furrowed for a while as he tried to remember which hotel was that, when his mind came up with no results, he had no choice than to ask for the location on the hotel’s details.

“That’s close to the airport but it’s a long distance from the university where the next stage exam would be done, I’ll have someone book a different hotel for you both,” he said in consideration.

From the lakeside hotel, they were going to use more than an hour and thirty minutes to get to the school. For two people that were not too familiar with the capital, it was too risky to have them take such a journey the next morning all by themselves.

Teacher Lu was about to refuse but Rong Yue spoke up, “it’s okay, it’s better this way, if he spends so much time on the road, there’s no guarantee that he would be able to take the exams properly,”

With her words, the two in the backseat quickly relaxed and thanked Qin Yichen sincerely.

With Qin Yichen in the car, the car ride after that was silent and Rong Yue pulled the car seat a little backwards and continued her sleep.

Up until the time that Qin Yichen dropped teacher Lu and Wu Hao off at the hotel he had picked for them and dealt with the booking, she didn’t wake up.

Although one had to also give some blame to Qin Yichen as he drove the car quite slowly, also, when he had parked, he had made the other two open the door very gently, afraid that they would disrupt her sleep.

On the road, usually, the capital streets were very busy and a car maintaining the speed he was using would have called for several dissatisfaction and honks. But seeing the plate number on that car, no car driving behind dared to honk and those in a hurry would only carefully overtake the car and move on.

So by the time he arrived at the estate he lived in, Rong Yue had already slept for more than an hour.

As he carried her out of the car, she stirred and opened her eyes slightly.

“Why are we getting down now? Let’s drop teacher Lu and Wu Hao off first,”

“They are at the hotel already, you have been sleeping for so long and didn’t realize,” he whispered back while his eyes shined with complete doting. Despite her subtle struggle to get down, he carried her into the house first before dropping her on the couch.

Rong Yue finally rubbed her eyes open and looked around the European decorated villa.

Despite being styled so simply, most of the items he had used would most definitely cost a lot more than the houses of some people.

Qin Yichen entered back with her bag and took it inside the room she had stayed previously when she was here.

“You have been running around all these weeks like a little bird, now can you see that your body was only barely holding on?” He scolded, yet, his tone was still low and filled with complete to even raise his voice at her.

“I’m coming to the capital soon, I have to settle matters with my mom and other things there,” Rong Yue said with a nonchalant shrug like his anger had nothing to do with her.
