24 Chapter Twenty Four: Doting Love

For someone that had deeply loved in her past life, loved until the point where she had done everything for someone’s else man while thinking he was hers, Rong Yue was determined to stay off men in this life, yet, she couldn’t help the thumping in her heart as she watched the man with his broad and aloof shoulders walk out of those doors.

She even felt a little reluctance at seeing him go which had her shaking her head furiously. On the other hand, Rong Xia smiled a little at the interaction of the two.

It was almost like an old couple that were parting, however, one had to know that Rong Yue looked really youthful and looked like she wasn’t eighteen yet, while Qin Yichen who was only twenty five exuded a mature aura that Rong Xia felt should only be found in men who were in their thirties thus making her unsure of his age.

Rong Yue stood up after eating and was surprised to see her mom frozen over and lost in thought.

“Whew! Can’t believe that mother would see that ruffian as someone that I can be a couple with.” She said and then tutted as she remembered how he had been unwilling to just allow her hold him up to a debt.

As she had a free day, she picked up her phone immediately she entered the room, wanting to see if the order that was supposed to come today had arrived already.

Yet, the first notification she saw had her eyes bulging widely.

“Ehh? 10 million?” She exclaimed shocked at the numbers. To be sure her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her, she opened her account and saw that she already had a total sum of 15 million truly.

Although it wasn’t an astronomical figure, to get, that was a lot and she really just wanted to call the man and ask him if he had made a mistake.

She finally gave up and sat down on the bed.

“Well done, I would prepare to go there now, maybe I’ll go and do some grocery shopping with mother first before heading over.” As she talked, she opened her notes and started a list of things she needed to get, she also needed to get some basic tools that she would use to build the automated shop assistant.

“Mother, let’s go and get groceries for the house, I have some free time today and would not have time after this.” Rong Yue told her mother who was currently knitting.

“Hmmm, see this dress I’m making for you, when I finish it, you can wear it on hot days so that you don’t get too hot.” Her mother said in a doting tone and as much as Rong Yue wanted to tell her that there was enough money to buy dresses and even knitted ones, the most important thing was the emotion and care behind the dress.

For someone that had gone about five years without this mother, she wanted as much feeling as she could get from her mother.

“We can buy jackets so you make matching ones for the both of us.” She suggested and helped her mother pack the threads and her knitting pins aside.
