117 Can’t You See You Are Tired?

“You!”

“Don’t be so angry, I’ll be fine.” She added quickly as she saw he was displeased with her.

“Are you hungry?” Qin Yichen asked as he saw her rub her stomach subconsciously, Rong Yue nodded her head as she looked towards the kitchen.

Knowing that his cooking was what she loved the most, he stood up and rubbed her head gently.

“Come and have some snacks first, I’ll make you a late lunch,” he said and sauntered into the kitchen.

Rong Yue stood up and followed him. This was her third time here and the previous two times, he had already made the meal before she even came or woke up.

This was going to be the first time that she would see him cook after a while. But that was just her thoughts and Qin Yichen had very different thoughts in mind.

Earlier, he had intended to take her out to eat at one of the cuisines in the restaurant and then have her eat the snacks if she felt hungry later on or while she was studying. But seeing her sleep like that, he had changed his mind and brought her home directly.

Thankfully, he already had his groceries equipped, only that the little date he had planned was ruined by her being too tired!

“Stay outside and wait for me, I’ll bring you some drink,” Qin Yichen said as after handing her a box of cakes and cookies.

“Don’t you need help here? I can also co….,” without allowing her to finish, he pulled her out of the kitchen.

“With how tired your body is, you would probably cut or burn yourself if you stay there with me, wait here obediently okay?”

Rong Yue nodded and then allowed him to go. On the other hand, she went upstairs to her room to get her laptop and other devices so she could get some work done.

The moment she turned her phone on, several notifications and calls came in, after all, everyone that knew she was traveling expected her to have been out of the plane for close to two hours now, yet, as she had slept as soon as she entered the car, she had forgotten to turn the phone on resulting in so many messages.

She called her mom first, spending some time to calm her down and get her to understand that she was already safe with Qin Yichen and only forgot to turn her phone on.

After talking to her mom, she sent a message to all the others like the Song siblings and Sun Li.

Previously, she had also informed master Wang Shu that she would be coming to the capital and gave him the details, although he didn’t make plans to come pick her up since he felt that she was going to be with people from her school.

However, he had become worried sick the moment he couldn’t reach her and even called his eldest grandson to also try to call her.

“She might have slept off at the hotel as soon as she got back, or perhaps dropped off the phone at the bottom of her luggage,” Wang Lei said, after thinking for a while.

Eventually, he shook his head and removed his mind from the matter. After all, there was nothing he could do by allowing his thoughts to run wild.

Back in Qin Yichen’s place,

Rong Yue talked for an hour straight while snacking with the designer that was working on the flagship store design back in A city.

By the time Qin Yichen was done, he saw her still working even after she got here. He sat for a while, listening in on the conversation without showing any reaction. After he understood the drift, he picked up the laptop and left the living room in large strides.

Stunned out if her mind, Rong Yue’s reaction was slow and by the time she stood up to chase after him, he was already inside his study and had locked the door.

She ran back to the living room to pick her phone so she could say one more thing to the designer and get her to end the call. Unfortunately, Qin Yichen who had already guessed what her reaction would be had kept the phone away before then.

“Big Bad Wolf,” she cursed out angrily as she sat down with a sullen face.

On the other hand, Qin Yichen didn’t end the call as he dropped her laptop on the study table and sat down.

“Continue listing the matters that are disturbing the work process,” he ordered, looking behind the lady to see what she had already done.

As she saw the man that appeared on the screen, the designer was stunned silly as she saw his exquisite looks.

For someone like her that worked with a lot of high class people, she had seen looks, but she had never seen a man that looked this good making her a little giddy.

“She’s so young and you still dare to make her work so many hours? Do you not know the work you are meant to do?” He scolded, not holding back at all.

The designer felt the pressure that was coming from him just through the video call and shook her head hurriedly.

“T..the design is quite complicated,” she rushed to explain, amidst stutters and Qin Yichen’s frown deepened even further,

“If you can’t do the work, leave first thing tomorrow, she has made too many sacrifices just to work with you, as a person, you should have your conscience.” He pushed further.

The woman faltered, unable to say anything, she looked down.

“I’ll do what I can do,”

“I’ll send a team to join you tomorrow with a blue print, use the idea of what she has told you and the blueprint to do the design, I’ll be there to check it myself,”

Not giving her a chance to reply, he ended the call, and then stood up to go back outside.

When he came out, Rong Yue was already standing outside his study with a sullen expression. Upon hearing the door open, she looked up with an expression filled with grievance.

“I already talked to her, she has enough to work for tonight and would get a team to help her out tomorrow, you can send a blueprint to the team so they have an idea of what you want,” he explained to her as he passed the laptop over.

“Team?”

“Hmmm, I have a team of high class designers, there would be some that would be familiar with that theme, just have them go over and work with her till she’s done,” he insisted.

Since he already knew that the timeline between the exam tomorrow and the main one wasn’t a lot anymore, he felt it was too stressful to have her go back to city A and then back to the capital again.

“It’s only a week, it’s better to stay and get some rest, besides, you will still need to make time for Xu Ning and your master before leaving…” the more he said, the more Rong Yue’s brows furrowed as she felt like all he was saying was true but was also a lot of trouble.

If she waited behind, that would mean that their store would only be able to launch next month while she would have to use that one week to polish the launch plan.

Looking at the tightly knitted brows, Qin Yichen said nothing and allowed her to run through the thoughts herself.

After what seemed like ten minutes, her shoulders finally slumped in defeat, “okay, I’ll wait till then,” she muttered in a barely audible voice and then left the hallway to go back to the living room.

Qin Yichen followed behind her, his eyes on her deep with intense doting. After waiting for her all these weeks, even before she came, he had long been determined to get her to spend more time one way or the other.

Thankfully, he had resolved the matter very quickly.

As for Rong Yue, the moment Qin Yichen brought out the door they were supposed to eat, all of her bad mood immediately vanished at the aroma from the food.

Perhaps, after seeing how she had reacted to the roasted duck the first time he made it. He would always try to include it in meals that he made for her.

“Eat well, just from the last time I saw you, you have already lost so much weight, to wait for you to grow up is one thing but if you are still losing the small flesh, what do you want your man to do huh?”
