Ali took a few steps back. “Show me your current strength. Show me what you are capable of.”

Logan blinked. “What do you mean? Haven’t we already fought?”

“Fighting and casting spells when not under pressure aren’t same. Your fighting instincts will grow with continuous battles. I am here to help you rise through your magic Tiers. So show me your strongest offensive spell. Right now. I want to see what you are capable of.”

Logan hesitated slightly.

He remembered his own decision clearly—he would only use fire and ice affinity in front of others to not reveal his identity. No lightning, no wind, no gravity.

“Alright then,” after pondering for a while he nodded.

Raising his hand, Logan summoned a fireball.

It flared up immediately, blazing in mid-air, easily the size of a full-grown man’s torso.

Logan gave a firm nod.

“Good. Let’s head to the fighting arena again.”

Logan looked once more at the glowing orb, its light now fading.

“Tier Two.” He clenched his fist slightly. And then followed the guild master.
