Chapter 250: NO MORE DUNGEON RAID
“Isn’t that the princess? What’s she doing here?” Lilith wondered the moment her eyes landed on Daliah.
Her gaze then swept across the entire room in a flash.
“And there are others as well… even that head judge from the tournament is here,” she thought silently. But her attention quickly found its true target.
Logan.
He was seated there, looking perfectly fine. No injuries, no weakness. Just his usual calm self.
A quiet wave of relief spread through Lilith’s chest without her even realizing it.
Meanwhile, Daliah leaned toward Rowan and whispered, eyes never leaving the girl who had just entered, “Brother, is that her? Your final opponent in that Arcadia Young Elites Tournament?”
“Yes,” Rowan nodded calmly.
Both Lilith and Daliah were around the same age. And seeing one another amidst a room full of elders and powerful seniors, a curious spark naturally lit between them.
“Lilith, you’re here. Good,” Emily smiled and gestured to the empty seat beside her. “Come, sit here.”
Lilith nodded and walked over toward where Noah and Emily were seated.
However, something was bothering Alice.
She looked toward Lilith and asked, “Dear, the guard mentioned that a few other hunters came along with you. Why didn’t they enter?”
“Oh, them?” Lilith turned toward Logan. “They came to check on their party member. But when the guard informed them that their young master was alright, they felt at ease and chose not to intrude in a discussion where they weren’t formally invited.”
Logan gave a faint smile. “What’s there to intrude in? Since they’ve already come this far, they might as well join. We’ll have to inform everyone sooner or later anyway.”
Alice nodded and gave a gentle signal to one of the maids. “Go and invite all the hunters who came along with Lilith.”
It didn’t take long.
Soon, Gideon’s party stepped into the hall. The moment they saw Logan sitting unharmed, a wave of relief washed over their faces as well. They were visibly happy, even thankful.
But their joy quickly gave way to surprise.
Sitting across the room was not only the Guildmaster of the Hunter’s Guild… but also the head of the mage’s court, John William.
They already knew that Noah would be present here.
Three of the kingdom’s most powerful hunters, all gathered in one room.
“What in the world is going on here?” they all thought, bewildered.
Still, none of them forgot their manners. Despite the shock and questions building inside, they respectfully bowed to everyone present before taking their seats.
Once everyone was settled, finally Ali Arkman, the Guildmaster, spoke, “Logan, now that everyone is present here, I think you can start.”
After he said that, Logan nodded and looked at everyone. Then he slowly began.
He explained everything from the beginning… that all monsters weren’t actually monsters. Some of them were once human. And the real monsters weren’t even from this world. They were from another planet. This information completely shocked everyone.
Logan continued, saying that there were other races from other planets as well.
When Logan revealed that Raphael was actually from another planet and belonged to the beast race, all of Gideon’s party members were visibly shaken. None of them could digest it.
Then Logan explained why these races had come here and were looking for trouble. When he said that he had a technique that allowed one to do things beyond imagination even without using magic, everyone could barely believe it.
Both Daliah and Rowan looked at each other, because among the very few, these two siblings knew about the cultivation technique.
Lastly, when Logan said that all these races wanted this technique because they were all aiming for the top position in the Milky Way Galaxy, a position that would grant them many things, especially immortality, everyone froze. Even Ali, Noah, and the others who had seen Logan demonstrate the technique yesterday were stunned.
“Immortality? Is this for real?” Emily asked in disbelief.
“Yes. It’s real,” Logan replied firmly.
“And was it Raphael who told you all this?” Noah asked.
“No, it wasn’t. It was someone from another planet,” Logan said.
“What? Another being from another planet has already come here? Did he attack you?” Alice asked worriedly.
“No, Mother. It’s someone who helped me instead,” Logan reassured her.
“Helped you? Who?” Ali pressed.
“It’s not a person,” Logan said calmly. “It’s… a sword.”
His words left everyone stunned.
One after another, they kept hearing things so unbelievable that it felt like they were in a dream. From their wide, bewildered eyes, Logan could tell just how impossible his words sounded to them. In truth, even he still found it hard to fully believe everything himself.
“A sword helped you? And it even told you about other races and other planets? Logan, do you realize how delusional you sound right now?” John finally burst out, unable to hold back any longer.
After witnessing Logan’s fight against other opponents in the last Young Elite Tournament, John had placed very high hopes on him. But that alone wasn’t enough to make him blindly believe every word Logan spoke.
And it wasn’t just John. From the expressions around the room, Logan could tell that many others shared the same doubt.
Even Rowan looked unsettled. It wasn’t that he distrusted Logan, but everything he was hearing sounded far too unbelievable.
With no other choice, Logan finally spoke. “Audrey.”
He didn’t raise his voice, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.
A moment later, the Soul Sword appeared, gliding into the room and hovering in the air.
Almost everyone recoiled in shock and fear, everyone except Alice. She had already seen it before.
The sword hovered in midair, its silver edge gleaming faintly under the hall’s chandelier light. A soft hum resonated from it, sending a shiver down everyone’s spine.
Many of them immediately pushed their chairs back, faces pale. Even all three S-class hunters who had fought countless monsters could not hide the instinctive fear that crept into their hearts.
“It’s alright,” Logan spoke quickly, his tone carrying quiet assurance. “Audrey isn’t dangerous.”
But no matter how much they tried to convince themselves, the scene before their eyes defied all logic. A sword, moving without anyone holding it, floating with a presence as though it were alive.
At first, some thought Logan must be manipulating it with some sort of spell. Yet when they stretched their senses, they realized something terrifying, that there was no mana fluctuation at all. Not even the faintest ripple.
That meant the sword… was truly flying on its own.
“This isn’t magic,” someone whispered under their breath, trembling.
Logan glanced at the Soul Sword, then said aloud, “Audrey, explain to them. Tell them everything you told me.”
For a brief moment, the sword vibrated softly, as though answering. Then a gentle, feminine voice entered only Logan’s mind.
“I cannot, Logan. My words are bound to you alone. Only you can hear me.”
Logan froze, then let out a long sigh. He raised a hand to his forehead, massaging the bridge of his nose before finally dragging his palm down his face.
“Of course,” he muttered helplessly.
At last, Logan lowered his hand and looked back at them. “I am sorry. I wanted all of you to hear from her directly. But unfortunately, it’s only me who can hear her voice. But….. what I’ve told you, all of it is true. Please trust me.”
His words carried a weight that silenced the room.
Then, unexpectedly, John William, who had moments ago doubted him the most, suddenly spoke.
“I’m convinced.”
The others turned toward him, startled.
John exhaled slowly, his eyes fixed on the floating sword. “I questioned you earlier, Logan, but seeing this… I can’t deny it anymore. A sword like that doesn’t belong in this world. If you say it told you the truth, then I believe you.”
Silence spread.
And in that silence, everyone recalled what they had witnessed yesterday. Logan, still so young, standing toe-to-toe with Noah, one of the three S-class hunters of the kingdom. He had nearly won, and he had done so without a single shred of magic.
Now, with a sword floating in midair before their eyes, even the most skeptical heart had no ground left to stand on.
Finally, Ali Arkman broke the quiet. “Then tell us, Logan. What should we do now?”
Logan’s gaze swept across the room, his tone turning serious. “From this day forward, dungeon raids must stop. Hunters are only to intervene when a dungeon break occurs. And even then, you must try not to kill the monsters recklessly. Capture them alive, if possible. Especially the ones that are completely brainless. Because many of them… might have once been human.”
A ripple of shock spread again, but Logan didn’t stop.
“This must continue until the dungeon boss of the largest S-class dungeon in Solmyr is cleared. Only that thing can tell us if there is a way to turn all these humans into their previous forms.”
For a while, no one spoke. The weight of Logan’s words pressed down heavily on every chest.
At last, Charles leaned forward, his brows furrowed. “This kingdom might follow your plan, Logan. But what about the others? Do you honestly believe the surrounding kingdoms will accept this? They’ll think it’s madness.”
His words left the room in uneasy silence once more.
