These thoughts gnawed at him.

He tried to find at least one solid reason in favor of taking Alcina with them. Somewhere in the back of his memory, fragments of information surfaced—he seemed to recall that she hadn’t been too eager to serve Miranda. But even that, Alex couldn’t be completely sure of. The only thing he knew for certain was this: once she was freed, there were only two outcomes—either they would be able to talk and reach an agreement, or Alcina, consumed by rage, would lash out at anyone nearby. And he’d be the first target.

The girls, having learned enough from Red and White’s accounts of Alcina’s past, decided to leave the choice to Alex. Giving him a moment to think, they dispersed throughout the laboratory—once used by William Birkin as his personal base. Before him, according to rare records, another scientist had worked here—his name erased from all archives. Only his research and fragments of correspondence remained.

“I think I found personal logs from the scientist who worked here before Birkin,” said Ada, sitting at an old terminal.

Alex tore his eyes away from the capsule and walked over to Ada, leaning over her shoulder. He had always been curious about who this mysterious scientist was. The archives contained only reports on successful experiments and dry letters to management. Taking the nearby chair, Alex sat down beside Ada and began reading the personal journal.

The girls gathered behind them, curious to learn what secrets this forgotten part of the lab might hold. The deeper Alex delved into the entries, the clearer it became—this was the story of a broken man.

From the journal, it became clear why the scientist had joined the “Evil Corporation.” All for one reason—to bring back his dead daughter. Every experiment, every study on the Black Marker fragments, the “Superhuman” project—all of it had been a desperate attempt to resurrect her. The Corporation had promised the impossible, provided funding, but most importantly—it became his last hope. If he didn’t obey, the project would be shut down. So he obeyed, doing whatever they ordered. In secret, he continued striving for the impossible—bringing his daughter back at any cost.

The “Superhuman” project failed. The scientist became expendable. He knew too much—and for that, he was eliminated. His life ended just like his dream. Alex closed the journal and let out a deep sigh. A classic tragic story, yet still sad in its own way.

“No matter what kind of villain he was… I still feel sorry for him,” Rika said quietly, sighing.

“Indirectly, he’s part of why this is all happening, but he did it for his daughter… I don’t know whether to call him a monster or just a broken man chasing happiness,” said Valmet, shaking her head.

“He made his choice. Even if his project had worked, he wouldn’t have brought her back… It would’ve been just a copy. Similar, but not her,” said Alex, closing the journal.

The girls looked at him. They knew—if anyone understood life and death, it was Alex. If he said it was all in vain, then it truly was.

Standing up, Alex asked Ada to copy all the research—both from the mysterious scientist and William Birkin. It might come in handy in the future. Ada nodded and began the data transfer.

While the copying process was underway, Alex had already made his decision—he would release Alcina. He would try to talk, to negotiate… if it was even possible. The girls watched with interest as he approached the capsule once again.

He looked at the sleeping giant woman, sighed heavily, and pressed the shutdown button. The water began to slowly drain, and once the capsule was completely empty, the walls lifted, releasing Alcina. She collapsed forward—right onto Alex. He managed to catch her and gently laid her on the floor, propping her up against the capsule. Then he took a few steps back—and that was the right call. Alcina’s eyes snapped open, her claws instantly extended, turning into razor-sharp blades. With a single motion, she sliced through a nearby container like paper.

Alcina slowly stood up. Rage burned in her eyes.

“Where is that miserable worm… Heisenberg?!” she growled, glaring at Alex.

“Lady Dimitrescu… first, let’s calm down. We can talk,” he said calmly, trying not to provoke her.

“You are a stupid man-thing! Don’t tell me what to do!” Alcina shouted furiously and swung her claws at him.

The girls were already preparing to shoot, but Alex raised a hand to stop them. The vampire’s claws struck him, but caused no harm—he simply raised his arm, blocking the blow. The fury on Alcina’s face was unmistakable. Perhaps Alex had been right—she had seen her daughters die with her own eyes.

In a fit of rage, she pressed harder, trying to cut the man before her, but all her attempts were in vain—her claws couldn’t even scratch him, and she lacked the strength to move him. Alcina narrowed her eyes. The fury on her face faded slightly, and she took a step back, eyeing the man with suspicion.

“I see you’ve calmed down a little, Lady Dimitrescu,” Alex said evenly, meeting her gaze. “Let me start with this: neither I nor the women with me have anything to do with the Corporation, Wesker, or Heisenberg. We came here to save people and kill Wesker. Meeting you was a coincidence.”

Alcina stared into his eyes, searching for even the slightest hint of deception. But she found none. From the beginning, the man had remained calm, met her gaze directly, and unlike most, addressed her with respect—calling her ‘Lady Dimitrescu’ rather than a monster or beast. That stirred something in her. Her claws returned to normal size, and her breathing gradually steadied.

“And why should I trust you?” she asked coldly.

“It’s quite simple,” Alex replied. “I could’ve killed you back when you thought you could slice me apart with your claws. Even your so-called immortality wouldn’t have saved you. And now that we’ve cleared that up, allow me to ask a question. How did you end up so far from your castle? And why did you shout Heisenberg’s name the moment you saw us? According to the available data, you were part of Miranda’s little cult, following her ‘grand plan’ to resurrect Eva.”

Lighting a cigarette, Alex calmly continued watching the woman’s reaction.

“That disgusting bastard Heisenberg brought an army of mutants onto my lands,” Alcina said with fury. “They destroyed everything, killed everyone. My castle fell, my daughters were murdered… Then he captured me, and I remember nothing after that—except for his vile smirk.”

Alex nodded, taking a drag. His suspicions were confirmed—Heisenberg was behind it all. Still, he wasn’t surprised the man had help from the demons under Wesker’s command. The Cadou parasite held immense research value. And if Davoth truly sought immortality for his people, he would surely have been interested in Cadou’s properties. Perhaps that was why Alcina was taken, and Miranda eliminated—after all, she controlled the parasites like a hive queen.

While Alex silently pondered, looking at the floor, Alcina scanned the room. There were only women around, and none of them looked at her with disgust or fear—instead, they seemed curious.

“And now you answer me, man,” she said sharply, turning back to Alex. “Where is Heisenberg? I must personally rip his guts out and skin him for my daughters!”

“I don’t know. Maybe he’s already dead,” Alex shrugged. “Or do you think Wesker would leave someone with such ambitions alive? Heisenberg played his part, and most likely, he went under the knife before you. And you can call me Alex, not just ‘man.’ I’m aware of my gender.”

Alcina narrowed her eyes again, watching him closely, but Alex was already speaking with the girls, discussing the current situation. He glanced at Juri and realized he didn’t want to show off his abilities in front of her—pulling something out of his inventory or creating something out of thin air. While he could handle Alcina easily, threatening or simply controlling her, Juri was more complicated.

He decided to ask her to return to the others and tell them they would be staying in the lab for a while, and also head to the aircraft carrier for examination and recovery. Despite Juri’s protests, insisting that she was fine, both Alex and the girls ignored her. They understood perfectly well that he just wanted to get her away—and so reminded her that she had been in the capsule under anesthesia for a long time, and it would be wise to see a doctor.

Understanding that she was being sent away, Juri squinted, clearly suspecting that Alex was hiding something. But she didn’t argue—she simply continued to watch him silently while he sent a message to Chun-Li, asking her to come and take her friend—or rival.

Upon receiving Alex’s message, Chun-Li had no desire to deal with Juri, but she had no choice. Quickly heading to the secret lab, the first thing she saw was the tall, almost three-meter woman standing next to Alex.

Suppressing her surprise and deciding to leave questions for later, Chun-Li hit Juri on the back of her head without warning, knocking her out. Then, throwing the lifeless body over her shoulder, she kissed Alex goodbye and hurried to rejoin the others.

“Typical man,” Alcina said with disdain, looking at Alex. “Always surrounded by women as if they’re his personal trophies.”

“Oh, jealous madam,” Becca replied mockingly, spinning lazily in her chair. “Don’t get mad just because your field hasn’t been plowed in ages.”

Alex’s eye twitched. He slowly turned to his gremlin, clearly understanding where this was going. Alcina glared at Becca with open hostility, her gaze flashing with anger.

“Since when do dwarfs speak for others?” she hissed, venom in her voice.

Alex sighed heavily. Alcina had just stepped on a gremlin mine. The girls instinctively stepped back, sensing the storm approaching.

The smile vanished from Becca’s face, replaced by a cold, empty expression. Before she could grab her weapon, Alex lifted her off the ground, not allowing her to break free.

The stream of curses that poured out at Alcina was truly legendary. Becca didn’t repeat herself once—she was inventive and colorful in describing everything she thought about Alcina, her lineage, and her aristocratic backside. With tired inevitability, Alex covered her mouth, but even that didn’t stop the flood of fury: the curses kept bursting through his clenched fingers.

After struggling to quiet the gremlin, he finally put Becca back on the ground. She continued to burn Alcina with her gaze, clearly indicating that this wasn’t the end.

“What an uncivilized woman,” Alcina sneered, looking at Becca with disgust.

“You’d better keep quiet,” Alex said tiredly. “Otherwise, next time, I won’t stop her. It doesn’t matter whether you have Cadou in you or something else—it won’t save you if she decides to kill you.”

The girls nodded in agreement with every word. They knew what Becca was capable of, especially when enraged. Alex sighed in relief that G.I.R., MIMI, and Stitch hadn’t intervened yet—otherwise, things could have spiraled out of control.

After letting his gremlin go, Alex realized that she needed to find something to do urgently, or she would definitely start plotting revenge.

But as if on cue, something happened again in the lab—a click, signaling the activation of a mechanism. Everyone turned simultaneously toward the sound.

Alex and the girls saw the trio—G.I.R., MIMI, and Stitch—near the terminal.

“What now…?” he groaned, lowering Becca to the floor.

Approaching closer, he found the trio proudly high-fiving each other. The terminal had clearly been hacked, but none of them were paying attention to the storm that was about to hit them in the form of Alex.

“Who did this?” he asked calmly, but coldly.

“He/she did!” the trio answered in unison, pointing at each other.

“It was you who started it!” G.I.R. said, pointing a finger at Stitch.

“No, it was you!” Stitch retorted, scratching back at him with his claw.

“You’re both at fault!” MIMI tried to be the voice of reason.

And so, the fight began. Right on the table.

Alex and the girls silently watched the chaos unfold with empty, resigned stares.

“What kind of creatures are these…?” Alcina whispered, stunned by the unimaginable mess.

“My babies,” Alex replied calmly, breaking up the fight.

Alex separated the trio, who were still fighting fiercely among themselves, and handed them over to the careful but vigilant hands of the girls, who made sure G.I.R., MIMI, and Stitch wouldn’t cause any more trouble. Despite being under supervision now, all three continued to glare at each other defiantly, clearly eager to settle things as soon as they got the chance.

Ignoring the antics of the little ones, Alex approached the terminal, where they had already caused some damage. A quick glance at the screen confirmed his suspicions—the trio had accidentally activated a hidden mechanism in the lab.

“It seems they stumbled upon the hidden secret of this mysterious scientist,” Ada commented, looking at the screen.

Alex nodded and continued the activation process. A deep click echoed, and massive capsules began to rise from the floor nearby. Thick, cold steam billowed from them. Everyone froze, watching as three additional capsules emerged from beneath the floor.

“It seems the scientist lied in his report, claiming he destroyed all samples of the ‘Superhuman’ project. In reality, he just hid the remaining ones.” Red connected to the terminal to extract the hidden data found thanks to the actions of G.I.R., MIMI, and Stitch.

Alex nodded approvingly and gestured for her to continue. White and Wolf immediately joined the team to speed up the data processing.

Meanwhile, Alex’s gaze shifted to the capsules—most likely, they contained the specimens from the ‘Superhuman’ project. But dealing with them could wait for later. Right now, he had a much bigger problem. His gaze landed on Alcina, who was standing a bit aside, frowning.

“What do you want?” she muttered, not hiding her irritation.

“I just thought you might want to change. The lab coat looks… let’s say, too revealing on you. I don’t want all the men in my group turning into a pile of meat,” Alex replied calmly.

“And where, pray tell, should I find clothes?” Alcina smirked, raising an eyebrow.

“That’s my problem. What color do you prefer?” Alex asked, eyeing her closely.

“White and black,” she replied shortly.

Alex nodded, snapped his fingers—and Alcina’s lab coat instantly transformed into her usual white dress. The clothing fit her form neatly, leaving no more reason for panic among the men. Alcina herself was in mild shock as she examined her dress, then looked at Alex with a playful grin on her face. The girls around her giggled, watching her reaction.

“Who the hell are you?” she asked, still not entirely believing what had just happened.

“Oh, right, sorry. Let me introduce myself properly,” Alex bowed gracefully. “My name is Alexander Voldigoad. I’m the Demon King from another world.”

“So those creatures that destroyed my castle—are they your minions?” Alcina asked angrily, her claws emerging.

“God forbid. It’s hard to even call them demons. And to be precise, I have no relation to them. On the contrary, I’m here to destroy those responsible,” Alex replied, still with a slight smile.

“Why should I believe you?” Alcina asked coldly, narrowing her eyes.

“Because you’re still alive—and that in itself is a pretty good proof,” Alex shrugged. “And also, I’m such a lovely savior of humanity. Some idiots even call me a false savior and think I’m a hero… ugh, just the thought of it makes me shudder,” he added with obvious sarcasm.

The girls burst out laughing at Alex’s deliberately sarcastic tone—they knew exactly how he felt about so-called “heroes.” Alcina, however, looked even more confused. Alex decided to lift the veil of mystery and share some information, warning her to keep her tongue in check. He explained that he wasn’t doing this out of trust, but to earn her trust, and so she would understand that he wouldn’t harm her unless she made the first move.

Alcina simply nodded in shock, still processing what she had just heard. Meanwhile, Alex shifted his gaze from her to the android girls, who had finished gathering and processing all the relevant information while he was speaking. He joined the others as they approached Red and White to see what had been discovered.

“So, what did you find?” Chikita asked, peering at the monitor screen.

“The scientist kept three subjects under the codenames: 001, 002, and 007,” Red began. “Subject 001 was named ‘Lucy’—after the skeleton of an ancient woman that led to a scientific breakthrough. According to the records, she has telekinesis and is extremely dangerous: before she was put to sleep, she killed over a hundred guards.”

Subject 002 has no name— the scientist referred to her simply as ‘Zero Two.’ The documents say she’s a highly aggressive specimen with enhanced strength, reaction time, and accelerated regeneration.

Finally, Subject 007— the last survivor of the project. She’s listed as the calmest specimen. The scientist never figured out what abilities she possesses.”

Red brought up dossiers for all three subjects on the screen. Alex’s eyes widened as he recognized all the girls in the photos. The first—Lucy from Elfen Lied, the second—Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx, and the last—Anya Forger from Spy × Family.

Alex rubbed his eyes in disbelief, but everything pointed to it not being an illusion. He now understood why the scientist’s daughter’s photo had seemed vaguely familiar—she really did share features with Anya.

“Since they’re dangerous, maybe we shouldn’t release them all at once? Only 007. She seems harmless…” Ada suggested, eyeing the screen with skepticism.

“Or maybe we simplify things? Let them all out, and if they act up—bullet to the head… or we let Keks stretch his legs,” Becca smirked carelessly.

All eyes turned to Alex. He simply nodded, making his decision. Approaching the capsules, he touched each one in turn. A second later, a hissing sound was heard as the doors began to open, releasing clouds of cold steam.

First, Lucy’s eyes opened—her gaze immediately fixed on Alex. Next, Zero Two sharply opened her eyes, also never breaking her gaze from him. Finally, Anya woke up—she looked around and tried to climb out of the capsule but, being a child, couldn’t keep her balance and almost fell. Alex immediately caught her in his arms.

The young girl smiled sweetly and instantly grabbed onto the sleeve of his black jacket, as if she didn’t want to let go. While he was looking at Anya, Alex noticed Lucy and Zero Two beginning to sniff him.

“Hmm… you’re not like those scientists. You smell different. Not like a human…” Zero Two said, sniffing the collar of his clothing. “You’re different. And strong.”

“You give off warmth and care, not cold like those bastards who tormented us,” Lucy supported her, circling Alex while keeping her eyes locked on him.

Meanwhile, Anya clung to him tighter and quietly asked:

“Are you my daddy?”

Alex was truly stunned. He had expected Lucy and Zero Two to attack him, not… start sniffing him as if he were their favorite scent. And Anya’s words about him being her father completely threw him off balance. She clung tightly to his sleeve, her big eyes never leaving his face, full of expectation and childlike hope. This wasn’t the “father moment” he could have ever imagined—especially after he had become a mentor to adults like Takashi and Siegfried.

“Red, didn’t you say they were aggressive?” Revy asked in astonishment, glancing at Red, who was standing nearby. “Why are they now rubbing against him like cats smelling catnip?”

“It’s probably because Alex isn’t human,” Red replied, thoughtfully crossing her arms. “According to the data, all their aggression was directed solely at humans.” She paused for a moment, then added, “It’s also possible it’s due to Hestia’s blessing. It alters his aura. They feel warmth and safety in him—something they never experienced in those labs.”

“Well, that makes sense. That busty goddess really did save us all…” Becca snorted, crossing her arms. “Even if she’s lying on a couch in another world eating snacks.”

At that very moment, in another universe, in the city of Orario, Hestia was indeed sprawled on a couch, lazily munching on snacks, and watching some random movie. Suddenly, she sneezed.

“Someone’s talking bad about me…” The goddess frowned, looking suspiciously at the ceiling. “And I bet it’s that green-haired gremlin… Becca…”

Clenching her fists, she glared at the plate of snacks. Poor food soon learned what divine wrath meant.

Meanwhile, Alex noticed how Anya’s eyes began to fill with tears. That look pierced even his armor. He couldn’t refuse the girl who had gone through so much suffering.

“Yes,” he said, smiling gently. “I’ll be your father.”

“Hooray! Now I have a daddy!” Anya cheered, shouting joyfully as she wrapped her little arms tightly around his neck.

Alex smiled as he looked at the girl and turned to the others. He glanced at the girls, as if asking with his gaze whether they were okay with it. They all nodded in agreement. No one could leave behind a child who had become a victim of experiments.

“What about us?” Lucy suddenly asked, pointing to herself and Zero Two. “What are we to you? Partners? Or… daughters too?”

“I’d prefer to be a partner,” Zero Two lazily drawled, licking her lips. “He looks delicious.”

“Daddy, what’s my name?” Anya suddenly asked, looking at Alex with childlike sincerity.

“Well…” Alex gently stroked her cheek. “You’re my little potato. I’ll call you Anya.”

“I like it!” the girl happily replied, nodding with a wide smile.

“Do you need a name?” Alex turned to the others.

“No,” Zero Two quickly answered. “We already have names. I’m Zero Two. And this,” she nodded toward Lucy, “with the sad face, is Lucy. This little one didn’t have a name.”

Alex nodded affirmatively. As he looked at the girls more closely, he noticed that they were still wearing some old straightjackets. With a snap of his fingers, he changed their clothes to something familiar: their original outfits, reflecting their personalities and pasts.

Lucy and Zero Two looked at themselves in surprise, then turned their gaze to Alex. A flicker of understanding passed through their eyes: he truly was different. Not just an ordinary human. Someone who deserved their trust.

The android girls watched the scene with great interest. Alex hadn’t just released experimental subjects, he… had accidentally become a father. And that was something.

“Now I understand why you’re different…” Lucy said quietly, stepping closer to him. “You’re like us. Not human.”

“You’ll find out who I am later,” Alex replied calmly. “Right now, we have business to attend to.”

“You’re talking about that thing upstairs?” Zero Two asked, lifting her gaze to the ceiling. “It reeks of death and blood so much it gives me chills.”

“Wow… they can smell that too?” Rika said, raising an eyebrow. “I wonder just how special they really are?”

Zero Two and Lucy turned, finally noticing the other girls. Alex watched their reaction with quiet apprehension—he still didn’t know whether they would be hostile. However, his worries proved unnecessary. Instead of attacking, both began sniffing the air and slowly approached, sniffing the girls from head to toe.

Although the girls knew Alex was nearby and their energy shields had proven reliable, they still felt a slight tension. It was hard to stay calm when two predators were watching you with interest.

“You smell like him. That means you’re close to him. Except for her. She smells different—not like a human and not like us,” Zero Two said, stopping her sniffing.

“Because we’re his family,” Chikita answered with a smirk. “And she smells different because she’s not human either.”

At these words, Alcina’s eye twitched, but she didn’t protest. Lucy and Zero Two exchanged looks, then leaned toward her, sniffing the air. Yes, the scent was indeed different. But there was no fear or disgust in their eyes—what they were curious about was something else.

“Family…? What’s that?” Lucy asked, tilting her head slightly.

“It’s a long explanation,” Valmet responded calmly. “But I think we’ll have time. Since Alex decided to take you with him.”

The girls nodded. Alex, observing this scene, let out a relieved sigh. Everything had gone smoothly without any incidents.

He felt someone tugging at his cheeks. Looking down, he saw Anya, still sitting in his arms. Alex couldn’t help but smile. The light shock of realizing he was a father still lingered inside him. Suddenly, unprepared. But he wasn’t going to turn away from this role. He would give Anya everything: care, love, adventure, and most importantly—a family. The kind she truly deserved.

Alex returned the gesture, tugging gently on Anya’s cheek. The little girl giggled, and he smiled even wider.

“Since you suddenly became a father, maybe it’s time to get out of here?” Revy said with a smirk, drawing his attention.

“I think it’s time. Actually, you’re returning, but I still have a few things to finish here,” Alex replied, nodding as he placed Anya on his shoulders.

Anya joyfully hugged his head and, now at a height, began to look around with interest. Her gaze met G.I.R., MIMI, and Stitch, who were happily waving their paws at her. In response, Anya laughed and waved her arms back at them.

Alex noticed this too. And sighed. He already felt that the trio would need to be kept under control—just so they didn’t brainwash his new daughter or pull her into the Imperium cult.

After gathering everything they needed, the group headed toward the exit. Alex walked with the feeling that his family had just gotten even bigger. Along the way, he introduced Anya to each of the girls, telling her their names and giving a brief description of them. Anya listened with genuine interest, amazed at how many moms she was going to have now. But as it turned out, she didn’t mind—it seemed like a big family was still a family.

When they reached the cargo elevator (the regular one would have likely been too much for Alcina), Alex carefully took Anya off his shoulders and passed her into Valmet’s arms.

“Anya, go to mom Valmet. She’ll protect you,” he said with a warm smile.

Valmet gently took Anya into her arms, still processing everything that had happened. It turned out that not only had Alex suddenly become a father—now she and the other girls had gained a daughter too. Anya, nestled in Valmet’s embrace, gave her a wide, kind smile. Valmet couldn’t help but return a warm smile and hugged the little girl tighter, silently promising to protect her from any threats.

The other girls looked at Anya in Valmet’s arms with tenderness. Each of them also wanted to hold the little girl, and even Becca wasn’t an exception. Deep down, she also dreamed of one day having a child with Alex.

“We’ll be waiting for you on the aircraft carrier. Just don’t drag things out with Wesker. Beat all the crap out of him and come back,” Revy said with a smirk, giving Alex a pat on the shoulder.

“She’s right. Alex, don’t delay,” Chikita agreed, nodding.

“Alright, alright,” Alex rolled his eyes. “You guys are so impatient… Explain everything to Brunhilde and tell Namiyo to take the aircraft carrier ten kilometers away from the island, just in case. Alcina… please, don’t kill anyone. Just stay close to the girls. I know what you’ve been through, and I understand your aversion to men… But for all that’s holy—don’t pay attention to them. If any problems come up, tell the others, and they’ll help.”

Alcina snorted and gave him a sideways glance:

“I’m not a child, and I know how to behave. But if these little men can’t keep their hands to themselves—don’t blame me for the consequences. I’m a lady, and I won’t tolerate being looked at like I’m meat on a shelf… or a monster.”

“Don’t worry, Alex. We’ll help Alcina if needed. And as for idiots who can’t keep quiet, I’ll teach them some manners—with a couple of knocked-out teeth,” Rika added with a grin.

“I’ll tell Namiyo to push away from the shore once we’re aboard,” Valmet said, gently holding Anya in her arms.

Alex nodded, saying goodbye to each of the girls. He promised to return as soon as possible. They saw him off with kisses, hugs, and even a light kiss on the cheek from Anya. A smile lit up his face as the cargo elevator doors began to close. But as soon as they shut, Alex’s expression changed—the warm smile faded, replaced by focus and calm.
