“This is part of the truth I was going to tell you… since you admitted I’m your future husband. You see… the truth is, I’m the Demon King,” he said calmly, watching their reactions.

Katsuie couldn’t handle the surge of emotions — her eyes rolled back, and she fainted. Alex managed to catch her before she hit her head on the floor. Alex noticed out of the corner of his eye how she was studying him and felt a twitch in his eye. He was already tired of every girl, upon learning about his race, trying to find horns or hooves on him. So, he simply ignored her actions.

While Katsuie silently and cautiously examined Alex, Red and White came out of the bathroom. Both android girls were already dressed in casual clothes and walked up to Alex. He waved at them kindly, and they sat down on either side of him, leaning against his shoulders.

Alex wasn’t surprised. Red and White had long been mimicking the behavior of normal girls to become more human-like. And although they still sometimes acted like rational AIs, it didn’t stop them from showing affection toward him.

He lowered his phone a bit and, with a different perspective, looked at the bodies of the androids. He was pleasantly surprised to see that the previously faint fragment of their creator’s soul had begun to grow. In the future, Red and White might develop their own souls. Perhaps this fragment was what made them gradually become more human.

A few minutes later, the other girls started emerging from the bathroom, looking relaxed and content.

“When are you going to finish your work and leave this world?” she asked sharply, not hiding her irritation.

“Can’t you do it any faster?” she insisted, not letting up. “Since you know who they are, just kill them and be done with it.”

“I’d like to, but I haven’t found them yet. Only some leads,” he shrugged.

“But you have a plan, right, Alex?” Saya interrupted, adjusting her glasses.

“Right. I have some ideas. I think I can lure one out first, and the other will show up,” he nodded.

“Then, my dear Alex, do share your plans with your family,” Yuriko said, gracefully swirling her wine in her glass. “We need to know what to expect.”

“Alright, listen up. First—Wesker. He’s the one who opened the portal for the demons. The idiot blabbed while I was fighting him that behind the rumors of the ‘false savior,’ that’s me, are those who fear the appearance of another monster. It’s easier for them to kill me before it’s too late.”

“Wait…” Ada frowned, propping up her chin. “You’re saying Wesker opened the portal, demons came here, and now their commanders are calling you a false savior and are afraid you’re going to become… something else? I’m a little confused.”
