During their conversation with Samantha, Sam and Dean tried to pry out at least some details, but the girl calmly dodged every question, clearly unwilling to discuss certain topics before Alex returned from school. Sam realized this quickly and stopped asking anything in that direction. Instead, he decided to figure out something else — how Samantha ended up involved in this world at all, if her father had long retired from hunting and tried to live a normal life.
Samantha saw no reason to hide what had happened on Blackwood Mountain. Briefly — without unnecessary emotion — she told them about what she and her group had faced, and how Alex saved her and the surviving friend. It still felt unbelievable to her that all of it had happened just a couple of weeks ago, and yet her life had already turned upside down.
When Sam and Dean heard that Alex single-handedly pulled a group of teenagers out of a forest crawling with wendigos, they couldn’t help but be impressed.
Sam asked how many wendigos were actually there. Samantha only shook her head — she didn’t know the exact number.
The only thing she could say for sure was:
“Alex killed at least ten… and that’s only the ones I saw.”
“Hm. I already like this Alex guy,” Dean smirked. “And, as I understand it, you and he are also… well… together. What about his fiancée? How do you… share him?”
“Dean, for God’s sake, shut up,” Sam snapped irritably.
“What?! I’m curious! I think we’re gonna be buddies,” Dean announced confidently, as if everything made perfect sense to him.
“There aren’t two of us. There are three. And that’s not your business,” Samantha cut him off dryly.
“Sorry about my brother. He… well… he always asks stupid questions,” Sam said with a long sigh. “But the name ‘Blackwood Mountain’ is familiar to me.”
“Your family friend, Bobby Singer, came there once. He helped a local hunter. Alex called him ‘old man Jack’,” Samantha said as she stood up to make tea.
“Right…” Sam raised his eyebrows. “Bobby talked about a way to heal a wendigo. But he never found it.”
“They can be healed?” Dean asked in surprise. “Isn’t it easier to just burn the bastards?”
“Dean, if you listened instead of staring at the ceiling, you’d know a wendigo isn’t just a monster. It’s a curse. Remember the wendigo at Blackwater Ridge?” Sam reminded him.
Dean looked at his brother like he had suddenly started speaking Chinese.
Meanwhile, Samantha calmly brewed tea, watching the Winchester brothers argue about tactics for fighting wendigos. She had one question: did they even realize they were still tied to their chairs? Or was this such a normal situation for them that they no longer noticed?
Shaking her head, she returned to the couch. Sam continued lecturing Dean, and Dean kept calling Sam a nerd. Samantha had no idea that for these two, such arguments were a normal part of daily life.
Finally, tired of the pointless bickering, she intervened:
“Alex was able to break the wendigo curse.”
The effect was instant. Sam and Dean fell silent and turned to her, waiting for her to continue.
Samantha took a deep breath and explained what she had seen herself. She didn’t remember Alex’s exact words, but she had remembered his explanation: a wendigo was a living embodiment of the sin of insatiable hunger. She told them about Hannah and Beth, who had disappeared a year ago, and how Alex restored Hannah’s human form.
Sam immediately understood what she meant. Dean simply nodded. He knew firsthand what it meant to be turned into a monster, and how it felt to come back.
Sam asked what the consequences were for Hannah.
Samantha explained that Hannah remembered nothing after the transformation. And although she didn’t state it directly, Sam understood: Alex had done something to the girl’s memories — so she would never learn that, in order to survive, she had been forced to eat her own sister.
Both Sam and Dean listened to her story with genuine sympathy. No one understood better than they did the horror of losing control and nearly killing someone you love.
Gradually, the conversation shifted to calmer topics. Samantha complained that her friend Chris decided to “keep studying the supernatural” and joined some kind of group.
Sam and Dean’s reaction was predictable:
“So you’re saying he joined that group of… nerds?” Dean scrunched up his face. “They couldn’t tell their own shadow from a ghost.”
“You’re not the first one to say that. But Chris doesn’t listen to anyone…” Samantha sighed.
“Our condolences,” Sam said. “Those idiots have ruined our investigations more than once. Wherever they show up — they mess everything up.”
Samantha, Dean, and Sam sighed in unison. Sam and Dean had already encountered the Ghostfacers in person, while Samantha had heard enough from Alex — and had seen a couple of episodes of their online show — to understand that dealing with those guys was more trouble than it was worth.
Samantha was about to untie Sam and Dean when the front door opened. Turning around, she smiled as she saw Alex, Lucina, and Alice. They were carrying bags of food — meaning they had stopped by the store on their way home.
Sam and Dean also looked at Alex. He looked back at them with an expression that clearly said: “You two really are idiots.”
“Sam and Dean Winchester. Good to see you again. You were unlucky to run into my little helpers. Although… you still got luckier than most,” Alex said as he passed by the brothers.
“And just how lucky are we?” Dean asked sarcastically, watching Alex set the bags on the table.
“Usually it ended with broken limbs. Or… they were simply buried,” Lucina added calmly while unpacking groceries.
Sam and Dean exchanged a glance. For the first time in many months, they genuinely wanted to believe in good luck.
Alex noticed their reaction and chuckled quietly. Stepping closer, he quickly untied both brothers — after all, several hours in chairs were unpleasant even for hunters. They stretched, rubbing their arms.
“Are you hungry?” Alex asked with a friendly smile.
“Yes,” Dean nodded without hesitation, rubbing his wrists.
“Dean, seriously? Can you go one second without thinking about food?” Sam asked tiredly.
“Don’t start, Sammy. And if it’s the food I saw in the fridge — I’m not turning down anything,” Dean declared.
“It’s fine, Sam. Sit down. Tea or coffee?” Alex asked.
“Uh… do you have beer?” Dean asked, already taking a seat at the table.
“Dean, they’re teenagers. Why would they have beer?” Sam muttered.
“We’re not teenagers. And yes, there’s beer. What kind do you want?” Alex replied, opening the small bar cabinet.
Sam raised his eyebrows in surprise and decided not to comment, while Dean was already choosing a drink. Unable to decide, he simply beamed when Alex placed two bottles of dark beer in front of them.
Meanwhile, Lucina and Alice came downstairs dressed in comfortable home clothes. Dean couldn’t hold back a smirk and gave Alex a big thumbs-up — realizing more and more that he and this guy would get along just fine.
Alex just smirked and continued cooking. He gestured for Lucina to come over, whispered something to her ear, and handed her a slip of paper with two runes, explaining their purpose. Lucina smiled, kissed him on the cheek, and went to Samantha — it was time for her demon-banishing training. Alice and Lucina decided to go with her to observe.
As the girls headed to the basement, Sam and Dean thought about the two demons tied up down there. The question formed immediately: why did Alex keep demons in his house? Their first guess: for Samantha’s training. They already knew her story.
“I don’t want to sound like a killjoy…” Sam began.
“But you always sound like a killjoy,” Dean interrupted, taking a sip of beer. Sam’s eye twitched.
“Are you sure Samantha should be living like this?” Sam asked seriously.
“She doesn’t have a choice,” Alex answered calmly.
“We know her father stepped away from the life and stopped hunting. Can’t she live a normal life too?” Dean asked.
“She’s just like you. And like us,” Alex said, pointing first at the brothers, then at himself, Lucina, and Alice.
“A hunter?” Sam clarified.
“Not just that. She’s also an Heir of the Men of Letters. Her grandfather was one of them. Just like your grandfather, Henry Winchester. Before he disappeared, he left behind the key to the Men of Letters bunker,” Alex said as he continued chopping vegetables.
Hearing Alex’s words, Sam and Dean exchanged a look — both stunned by what they had just learned. It was already surprising enough to meet Samantha, the daughter of a hunter who had worked with their father and was a family friend. But to find out she was also an Heir of the Men of Letters… that was beyond anything they expected.
Now it became clear why Alex had said Samantha had no choice. Sooner or later, she would have been pulled into this life anyway. And it also explained why he had taken it upon himself to train her.
But what shocked the brothers even more was that Alex himself turned out to be a Keeper of Knowledge as well. To prove it, he calmly pulled out a bunker key and placed it on the table.
Dean immediately took out his own key, compared them — and confirmed they were identical. Alex added that Lucina and Alice had matching keys as well.
Sam and Dean exchanged another look — at least now they knew they weren’t the only Men of Letters left in America. And for some reason, that felt like genuinely good news. Ever since they moved into the bunker, it had only been the two of them living there… well, and Castiel, when he wasn’t disappearing “on angel business.”
“Damn,” Dean chuckled, taking a drink. “Guess we didn’t come to this town for nothing. By the way, what happened to those vampires Donna was tracking?”
“I killed them. You could say your friend was lucky she didn’t catch up to them,” Alex answered calmly, stirring something in a pan.
“Why? They’re regular vampires. We’ve taken down hundreds like that,” Sam said.
“These were… different. Well, a different type. Still vampires, but much more dangerous than the ones you’re used to dealing with,” Alex replied, opening himself a beer.
“How much more dangerous?” Dean asked, that familiar hunter’s excitement creeping into his voice.
“Well, for starters — they’re very fast. So fast their movements are hard to even see. Their skin is tough: knives, bullets — almost useless. Even beheading won’t kill them. And also…”
Alex paused, as if preparing to say something truly absurd.”They sparkle in the sunlight.”
Dean choked on his beer, momentarily convinced he misheard.
“What?”
“And each of them has unique abilities,” Alex continued. “Empathy, telepathy, pain inducement, visions, danger sense, super strength, self-control, a hunter’s mark… the list goes on. And to kill them — you have to tear them apart and burn the pieces. Only that works. Let’s just say I managed to test a couple of facts regarding their abilities. For starters, they get these powers based on their hidden desires.”
“Damn…” Dean muttered. “And we’ve never run into anything like that. And here I was dreaming about a classic stake to the heart, straight out of the handbook.”
“I’m more interested in the abilities,” Sam noted. “You said they get them based on hidden desires?”
“Exactly,” Alex nodded. “Each vampire’s ability is individual. It’s tied to whatever they wanted most while they were still human, before they turned.”
“You learned a lot, Alex. How?” Sam asked, now fully absorbed in the topic.
“Alice and her family were vampires. Well… used to be,” Alex said calmly, shrugging.
Dean froze, blinked, then stared at Alex.
“Wait. You’re telling me Dr. Sexy and his entire family are vampires? Come on! Then why did rumors about killings only show up recently?”
“Because they were vegetarians. They drank only animal blood. They had a pact with the Quileute clan. I think you’ve already heard the legends about cold ones and werewolves,” Alex said.
“Yeah…” Sam turned his bottle thoughtfully. “But how did you cure them? We know you can save someone newly turned if they haven’t drunk human blood yet. But the Cullens… they’ve been vampires for a long time.”
“With a special potion. But there are still side effects. They still need to drink blood, only once a week. And even then, they stick to blood tablets — something like a blood substitute I made for them. As for the side effects: they still can’t sleep… or rather, they can, but rarely. And their powers remained. Basically, they’re super-strong humans now. And they’ll live a long time.”
Sam and Dean just nodded, accepting Alex’s explanations. While Sam helped him set out the silverware and dishes, Dean, without much thought, decided to move on to a more personal question — how Alex managed to live with three girlfriends at the same time. Alex, quietly chuckling, began to explain how he met Lucina and what led to his relationship with Alice.
Learning that this type of vampire also had a so-called bond of predestined partners, Sam and Dean just exchanged looks — they’d dealt with many creatures before, but this was something new.
Still, their curiosity turned elsewhere: why had such vampires remained completely unseen by humans? Alex didn’t hesitate to tell them about the Volturi clan — the ones who ensured their kind stayed hidden from humans. If anyone ever spotted one… assassins were sent to eliminate both the vampire and the witnesses. Alex even mentioned where the Volturi were based.
Having finished his explanation, Alex was about to go call the girls. But as soon as he went down to the basement, Samantha, focused on the seals, said she wouldn’t come out until she had “done everything correctly.” Alex just smiled and returned to the brothers.
“I wanted to ask… those people shrouded in black mist. Were they real?” Sam asked.
“Yeah. I’ve already dealt with that problem. It was tricky and took three whole days, but I handled it,” Alex said, shrugging.
“Can you go into more detail? We’re looking for someone. It might be connected,” Sam said cautiously, trying not to reveal too much.
“Since you brought it up, Sam… I think it’s time to talk about you guys,” Alex said, stopping his smile.
“What about us?” Dean asked, already sensing the storm coming.
“What about you? You’re still asking, Dean Winchester?! You two idjits! What did you do?! Killed Death, released Darkness — and that’s not even everything! DO YOU WANT ME TO TAP YOU ON THE HEAD WITH A STICK TO MAKE IT SINK IN HOW MUCH YOU MESSED UP?!” Alex shouted, slamming his hand on the table so hard that the utensils jumped.
Sam and Dean didn’t even have time to open their mouths — Alex rattled off everything that had happened because of them: opening the gates of Hell, the apocalypse, dozens of minor disasters, each one nearly ending the world.
In the basement, Samantha, Lucina, and Alice, busy with demon exorcism, heard the shouting and decided not to come up for now. GIR, MIMI, Stitch, Claptrap, Ichiko, and Nico hid in their room, listening as Alex scolded the two hunters. No one even remembered it was long past dinner time — the whole household preferred to wait out the storm.
Dean and Sam remained silent, watching Alex pace back and forth, gesturing wildly like an angry father. They almost simultaneously thought he reminded them of someone very familiar.
“Sammy… he’s just like Bobby. Even yells ‘idjits’ the same way,” Dean whispered.
“I noticed that too… maybe he’s Bobby’s illegitimate son?” Sam whispered back.
“Am I done?” Alex snapped, looking at them.
“No, sir!” the brothers answered in unison, responding out of habit.
“I haven’t even mentioned what your little miracle angel pulled off! Opening the gates to Purgatory, leviathans, fallen angels, civil war in Heaven… I could go all day! And yes, you solved it all — but don’t forget, FIRST YOU BROKE IT! And then you released Darkness too!”
He took a deep breath.
“Yeah, we messed up…” Sam admitted. “And what do you suggest?”
“As usual — we’ll deal with problems as they come. I’ll help you. Over the past month, I’ve done a little investigation… and it turns out there are way more problems than just the appearance of Darkness,” Alex said, taking another deep breath.
“What could be worse than Darkness?” Dean asked, still reeling from being scolded like a misbehaving schoolboy.
Alex calmly rose from the table and gestured for Sam and Dean to move to the couch in the living room. The brothers exchanged a glance but followed him. No sooner had they settled in than Alex headed upstairs.
Sam and Dean whispered quietly to each other — trying to make sense of what had just happened. How did this guy know so many details about their past? They couldn’t find a logical explanation… and they didn’t even consider the most obvious one.
A few minutes later, Alex returned, carrying an enormous stack of folders, as if he were hauling the entire FBC archive. Approaching the couch, he casually dumped them onto the table and pointed at them.
Sam and Dean began reading the titles — cities, cases, incidents. They recognized every second one. Some folders had even been mentioned in their father’s journal.
Alex sat in the chair across from them and started explaining the situation, deliberately using Amara as the “villain” so Chuck wouldn’t suspect anything. He hoped Amara wouldn’t take offense — after all, he’d buy her ice cream when the opportunity arose.
His story was so detailed that it even included FBC data. Judging by the brothers’ expressions, they had crossed paths with the FBC themselves, and Alex, unable to resist, turned on the TV and displayed their files on the screen.
The list included EVERYTHING they had managed to get themselves into — along with how the FBC had tried to cover it up.
Then Alex smoothly transitioned to the topic of the Taken and explained what really happened in Bright Falls, and how the town was connected to Darkness.
He almost immediately noticed Sam’s expression changing every time Alan Wake’s name was mentioned — and realized: Sam was a fan. Alex explained how even the smallest shard of Amara’s power had distorted the space around Cauldron Lake, and the consequences that followed.
Sam and Dean listened carefully, gradually realizing that Alex knew far more about Darkness than they did themselves. And it seemed his advice could actually help them.
But what shocked them most was the fact that a tiny echo of Amara’s power could alter the reality of an entire region so drastically.
The explanation took nearly an hour.
“And what happened to Alan Wake? Did you… kill him?” Sam asked, leaning forward.
“Alan is currently under FBC protection. They have more experience dealing with… anomalies like him. Now you understand what even a shard of Amara’s power is capable of. Imagine what will happen when she matures and fully restores herself,” Alex said, exhaling heavily.
“How do you know her name? We didn’t say it,” Dean asked, frowning.
“I heard it from the Dark Entity calling itself Barbara Jagger. As you can imagine, I had to work hard to sort out everything happening in Bright Falls. I even started catching demons to find out where Crowley is. That’s why my friends Albert and Cruz are in the basement right now,” Alex said, taking out a cigarette but quickly putting it away.
“Did you manage to find out where Crowley is hiding Amara?” Sam asked, now clearly considering Alex an ally.
“Not yet. I caught about a dozen crossroads demons, but none of them knew. One demon was chasing Rowena — I followed the trail… but she killed him before I could get there,” Alex shook his head.
“You think Rowena might know where Crowley is? We caught her recently, but she escaped as soon as she helped us,” Sam explained.
“No, idjit. I didn’t need Rowena, I needed the demon itself — his chained hound. And I have no desire to deal with that witch at all. But Cruz… might know a lot more,” Alex said calmly.
“Isn’t Samantha training in demon exorcism right now?” Dean raised an eyebrow.
“As soon as he was exorcised, he returned. I gave Lucina two special runes: one locks the demon in a vessel, the other ties him to it. So Cruz flies out — and immediately returns. Basically, he became a training dummy,” Alex smirked and gave a thumbs-up.
“So you tied the demon to the vessel… and gave Samantha the chance to train until she gained enough experience?” Sam clarified.
“Exactly. He’s a demon — why pity him? Let him fly back and forth. The vessel was empty anyway, so it’s perfect,” Alex said, smiling proudly.
“You know… I like it. Sounds just perfect. Ha-ha-ha!” Dean laughed heartily.
Alex laughed along with Dean and stood up from the chair. He glanced down into the basement again to call the girls for dinner. A minute later, they came out, and everyone took their seats at the table.
At the same time, GIR, Mimi, Stitch, and the two Zashiki-warashi — Ichiko and Nico — came down from the second floor. This motley crew grabbed the pre-prepared plates and swiftly disappeared back into their room.
Sam and Dean froze for a second, staring at the flying dolls. Alex explained who Ichiko and Nico were, and the brothers accepted it calmly — it was hard to surprise them now. Dean even noted that having such spirits around the house was useful: “the cleaning basically does itself.”
Sam immediately teased his brother, reminding him that he lived like a pig and no spirits could save him anymore. Alex and the girls watched their banter and just laughed.
After dinner, Alex, Sam, and Dean went out into the backyard — just to sit and chat. Alex knew their past well, yet he still listened to their stories as if hearing them for the first time. On the porch, with bottles of beer in hand, they talked about everything under the sun, quickly finding common ground.
Sam and Dean didn’t even think about the fact that Alex was only a teenager by age — his behavior, experience, and manner of speaking made him a true hunter. Alex told them how he caught crossroads demons, lured them into traps, beat them up, and dragged them home.
“By the way, I forgot to mention. Sam, Dean — you shouldn’t leave the city until the end of the week. It’s important,” Alice said, peeking out into the backyard.
“Did you see something in your visions?” Alex asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It’s still a spoiler. But nothing dangerous,” Alice smiled and returned to the house.
Sam and Dean exchanged a glance, then looked at Alex. They already knew about her gift — they had encountered people who could see the future before. Now they were interested in only one thing: what exactly had she seen that required them to stay until the end of the week?
Alex squinted slightly, absently stroking his chin. The possibilities were few. And the only one that seemed logical was the arrival of Jesse Faden, the current director of the Federal Bureau of Control. The more he thought, the more convinced he became that this was exactly what Alice had predicted.
“So what did your girl mean when she said we shouldn’t leave?” Dean asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Looks like a woman is about to show up on my doorstep, ready to strangle you,” Alex replied calmly.
“Why would some stranger want to strangle us? We’ve never even seen her,” Sam wondered.
“I think Alice meant the FBC director — Jesse Faden. Thanks to you two, she has mountains of reports, investigations, and problems. But actually, she’s coming to me, not you,” Alex said, shrugging.
“Oh, we don’t even know her, and she’s already ready to kill us. Fine, a normal Tuesday. I wonder if she’s at least cute? Or a strict old lady — after all, she’s the director,” Dean smirked.
“And why is she coming to you? Did you manage to ruin her life too?” Sam asked, ignoring his brother.
“More like the opposite — she seems to be coming to pay me a fee. After all, I solved the Bright Falls problem that the Bureau couldn’t fix in thirty years. And I did it in three days. If she doesn’t pay…,” Alex rubbed his hands together and grinned predatory.
“I’m afraid to ask what you’ll do then,” Sam said, already knowing Alex’s nature.
“I’ll break into their Oldest House and turn everything upside down until I get compensation. And they have enough anomalous objects that could join my collection,” Alex said with a chuckle.
Dean and Sam looked at Alex, not understanding exactly which anomalous objects he meant. Noticing the brothers’ confusion, Alex cleared his throat, took his phone out of his pocket, and activated a projection so both of them could see the image. The first thing that stunned them was the unusually advanced technology of the phone.
Realizing he would now have to explain even that, Alex quickly and briefly told them where he got the device from and immediately moved on to the topic of anomalous objects. Sam and Dean listened and fairly quickly concluded that these “anomalies” were essentially ordinary cursed objects, the kind they had encountered dozens of times. Alex didn’t argue; he simply nodded, adding that the FBC handled such objects far better than most and securely isolated them from people.
The conversation continued almost until midnight. When the clock passed twelve, the brothers began to prepare to head back to the motel. Alex walked them to the door and shook their hands firmly in farewell. They had enjoyed their visit — and, being a good host, Alex had given them food to take with them, which genuinely delighted both of them.
Back in the Impala, Sam and Dean sat down.
“What do you think, Sammy?” Dean asked, starting the engine.
“About what exactly?” Sam asked, rolling down the window.
“About Alex. He seemed like a nice and very interesting guy. We have a lot in common. And it’s clear he’s an experienced hunter — smart, calm, confident. I think his help will definitely come in handy,” Dean said, turning the wheel to head back.
“I agree. His knowledge is something else. And… where have you seen a guy who can even cure vampires? Even his tech is just… incredible,” Sam said, nodding.
“Nerd…” Dean muttered with a smirk. “But I wouldn’t say no to a phone like that either. So? We stay here until the end of the week?”
“I think we should. We haven’t found any traces of Amara yet, and Alex has more leads than we do. And he said he’s planning to move to the bunker with his girls anyway,” Sam said, fully agreeing to stay in Forks until the end of the week.
“Hope they won’t be noisy at night. One guy and three girls — you know how it is,” Dean smirked.
“You’re just jealous. He managed something you couldn’t. The most you ever had was a threesome with twins. And even that only once,” Sam said, rolling his eyes and teasing his brother.
“But what a threesome it was…” Dean shot back. “Even you haven’t had that.”
Sam rolled his eyes again and lightly tapped his brother on the shoulder, and Dean laughed out loud. After a while, they reached the motel and immediately crashed into bed — it had been a packed day. They’d been beaten up for being mistaken for thieves, bombarded with a ton of new information, and most importantly, they had potential allies.
At the same time, Alex and the girls were also getting ready for bed. While the girls changed, Samantha shared her first experience exorcising a demon. Alex listened carefully and was genuinely pleased with her progress. He promised that once they moved to the bunker, he would begin fully training her — there would be plenty of space there.
When everyone got into bed, cuddling Alex from all sides, he began recounting the conversation with the brothers. He explained that he didn’t even need to use magical sight to sense how Chuck’s “all-seeing eye” was watching Sam and Dean. But Alex noticed something else — Chuck now watches the brothers very rarely. It seemed he was busy preparing the final scene, where he intended to appear as one of the “heroes” himself.
Before falling asleep, Alex made a mental note: once they moved, he absolutely needed to protect the bunker from Chuck’s gaze — carefully, so that Chuck wouldn’t notice.
The next morning began with Alex’s usual routine: one of the girls woke him up to prepare breakfast, and then he had to head back to school. Alex thought that they would only have to stay in Forks because of Alice’s vision, and after that, they could move to the bunker without any worries.
During the lunch break, he told the Cullens about how his conversation with the Winchester brothers had gone. At the same time, Alex invited them to join the Men of Letters. So far, only Emmett agreed — the idea of fighting a monster again and trying out the hunter role genuinely excited him. Rosalie didn’t stop him — she saw no reason to worry.
Bella also wanted to become part of the organization, but Edward gently reminded her that she hadn’t finished school yet. Jasper and Jane merely exchanged a brief glance and said they would think about the offer. Alex didn’t insist — he understood perfectly well that such a decision required time.
When classes ended, Alex suggested hosting a barbecue at his place so that everyone could get to know each other better. The idea was well received — especially since Alex always managed to cook something incredibly delicious.
Chuckling, he decided to stop by the Winchesters’ place. Reaching the motel, he didn’t even need to look for the room number. Getting out of the Impala, Alex walked to the door and knocked. A second later, Sam opened it.
“What’s up, Alex? You need something?” he asked.
“Sammy, who’s there?” Dean’s voice came from the bathroom, mixed with the sounds of brushing teeth.
“It’s Alex! And stop yelling — we can hear you just fine!” Sam shouted back.
“Oh, Alex.” Dean came out, wiping his face with a towel. “What brings you here?”
“I wanted to invite you to a barbecue. Beer, meat — the usual. I want you to meet everyone. Since we’re going to be working together, it’s better to become friends right away,” Alex said with a slight smile.
“Say no more — we’ll come. Should we bring anything?” Dean agreed immediately.
“Just buy some beer if you don’t want to drink something stronger. I already have everything else,” Alex said, giving a thumbs-up.
After a brief chat, Alex returned to his Impala and drove home — he needed to prepare for the guests. As he approached the house, he felt a strange premonition — as if the evening ahead would be anything but calm.
Shaking off the thought, Alex returned home with the girls and began preparing everything needed for the evening barbecue.
To be continued…
(Hmm, hmm. The move to the bunker and the start of the main events are coming soon. As for why Alex befriended Dean and Sam so easily, remember, Alex has a knack for making people trust him, and Hestia’s blessing helps with that, if you’ve forgotten. So, it’ll be something like that soon. I think the move will happen after Jesse arrives.)
