The sword demon’s sword came down with a tremendous amount of force, the blade charging down to the space between Eliron’s eyes.

Eliron gritted his teeth, quickly pivoting the body when the sword demon suddenly stopped.

His sword was inches away from Eliron’s face, but Eliron had already brought up his broken sword to block, and a ball of glassy energy was in his other hand, inches away from Satoru’s balls.

“HAHAHAHAHAH! Satoru let out a booming laugh. “You should have seen your face boy, were you about to shit your pants?!”

Eliron sighed, his eyes wide as he stared at the old man. “You bastard! Do you want to go another round? I’ll happily teleport your little dragon!”

“Do you think you can? I’ll admit, I was surprised a baby elf like you could use the supreme sword aura, but that won’t work on me the second time.”

’This guy…’ Eliron had never met anyone as annoying as him in both his lives.

His action was smooth and effective, the black sword flying out of the demon’s hand and digging deep into the snow.

The sword demon turned to glare at Eliron.

“Argh damn it kid, you’ve broken the system! This is probably because you are a dirty cheater!”

“Why the hell would you stop just because your opponent’s sword snapped? That logic will get you killed in a real fight.”

The elven lord slowly shook his head and folded his hands across his chest. “So basically, “I won, but the law will not recognize me as the winner.”

“Damn… so what do we do now?”

The demon shrugged and turned around, walking towards the demonic house, his armour clicking with each step.

Eliron followed closely behind him, trekking through the path he made with his large body instead of forming his own.

The closer they got to the house, the more the storm quieted down, and when they were just a few feet away, the clouds had cleared.

The snow vanished, the grey grass underneath it turned green and the realm was back to the way it was when he first arrived.

Even the strange house had reverted back.

The samurai, now in regular robes stepped upon his porch and began walking into the house.

Then he paused and turned to face Eliron. “Hey kid…”

“Yeah?”

“Want some ramen?”

Eliron sighed. “Sure.”

It seemed he was going to be stuck here for quite some time, he might as well have a full belly, even if he didn’t get hungry.

Ten minutes later, the spirit came out of the house with a large pot of ramen and placed it on the floor.

Eliron stared into the pot the moment he perceived the invigorating aroma.

There was a potent but not overpowering scent of garlic, ginger and a variety of other spices waffling from the pot.

Sliced aping onions were neatly arranged by the side, there was a large boiled egg that looked like it had been laid by some sort of prehistoric ostrich, fish cakes and some Mushrooms.

’When was the last time I had ramen?’ Eliron thought.

Although this was made in the Japanese style which was a little different from the way they did it in Korea, it was great to have a taste from home.

“Alright, let’s dig in!” The sword demon smirked and handed him some chopsticks.

Eliron smiled and grabbed the chopsticks. “It looks like you aren’t half bad old man, anyone that can cook this good gets a pass!”

He picked up some noodles and toppings, brought it to his mouth, then paused, giving the demon the side eye.

“What is wrong?” Satoru asked, quirking a brow.

“Nothing of course!” Eliron quickly said as he finally placed the food in his mouth.

The presentation was already good, but the taste absolutely… the taste absolutely blew him away.

“My goodness!” Eliron exclaimed. “I wish I could take you back with me!”

The demon chucked and took a bite as well. “Eat up kid, you need to get some meat on those bones!”

Eliron smirked and wrapped some noodles around his chopstick, then moved it towards the gigantic eggs, trying to get a piece when—

The demon rammed his chopsticks into Eliron’s, shoving it back. He gave Eliron a blank stare and said, “Eggs are for adults, kid, eat noodles.”

“You selfish bastard! I take back everything I said, this food isn’t even that good!”

“Do you want some pork?” The demon smirked.

“Yes please!” Eliron shamelessly replied.

“Hehehe…” the demon unsheathed his sword and placed it on Eliron’s hand. “Use this to cut some off the one at the back.”

“Alright then.”

Eliron rose to his feet, about to move, but the moment the sword demon let go of the black sword, right before their eyes, the world fractured.

They both shared a stare.

“Wait, no, why now of all times?”

Eliron dove at the pot to wrap his arms around it, but his vision darkened, and instead of feeling the hot steel of the pot, Eliron felt something rather warm and soft.

“No, no, come back!” Eliron screamed into the darkness, but the world vanished before his eyes.

“Huh?” He blinked, tears forming in his eyes when he realized he was back in the real world.

The black sword was lying in its hilt by his waist, and as for his hands… They were wrapped tightly around a feminine figure.

Artie’s…

Waist…

’Shit!’

Artie gave him a blank stare but made no move to remove his hands.

Their faces were merely inches apart, yet her eyes remained without an ounce of warmth as she stared into his.

“Come… back?” Then she smirked, that familiar, I’m going to use this till you die type of smirk.

“I didn’t know you missed me that much my lord.” Artie chuckled, running a hand through his hair.

Elirom immediately sprang up to his feet, his cheeks already feeling warm. “Uhum…!”

“Pfft~” Yennefer giggled by the side.

“It’s good to have you back my lord!” Ash said with a smile.

Cassie on the other hand glanced at the sword and smirked. “I see you were sucessful…”

“Ahh, yeahh.” Eliron muttered as he stared at the blade. “It was actually quite an—”

TINGGG—!

Eliron suddenly paused and quickly began rolling up his sleeve as a stinging pain filled his arm.

“What the—”

When he undid the sleeve, to his surprise, snow like mana was burning a mark into his wrist, moving in different directions until a blue image of a sword was engraved on the underside of his wrist.

And as if that wasn’t strange enough, there was already another mark below it, one in the shape of a black serpent.

“What… the hell is this?”
