Alex expected the monster to add to his statement, but all he was greeted with was silence.

Cracking sounds reached his ears as he stepped atop broken glass, and then he immediately stuffed his head through the frame, glancing up at the skies—

A shockwave crashed into the tower, nearly causing him to lose his balance. Thankfully, he held the frame tight, preventing his fall.
