[Fireball] was cast over and over again, blowing every slime she came across to smithereens. They’re slimy matter dropping to the ground and sizzling like boiling water, the smell of fire and ash faint in the air.

As Zoey continued to hunt down the slimes, blasting them with flames, her [Fireball] Skill continued to level up like crazy, growing stronger and more powerful with each cast.

“This is amazing!” Zoey suddenly blurted out, giggling excitedly, watching the flames in the palm of her hand flicker and pulse with destructive energy, the heat palpable and intimidating.

A group of slimes suddenly saw her figure approaching them, transforming into their terrifying forms. They lunged, sending a large amount of tendrils hurling at her. She smirked, amused by their attempts to attack.

With adrenaline powering her veins, she flinged the fireball at the group of slimes, destroying them with a powerful explosion. Zoey smiled, ever so proud of her growing strength, but she had to stay focused, she couldn’t let her guard down again.

She gazed at the level of the [Fireball] skill, noticing it now standing at 30. A shock of excitement coursed through her being as she immediately thought of something she should’ve tried a while ago.

‘Let’s convert these items into raw experience.’ She thought, glancing at her [Goblin Shield] and [Stone Dagger]. She began to absorb the items, watching them disintegrate into soft glowing particles, a warm feeling entering her body.

The skill continued to level up rapidly, growing faster than she could keep up with. As the skill started to decrease in level growth, Zoey knew that the skill was starting to need more experience for it to level up, so she pushed harder and fed more Cores so that the skill could rise to perfection.

Zoey glanced at the Skill’s level, 87, she was close, close to the peak, close to 100. She kept going, even as the skill demanded more and more Cores to gain a single level, she was ready to sacrifice it all.

Plus, she still had the [Goblin Shaman Cores] to absorb, and they were undoubtedly powerful ones, ones that she planned to use to increase her level experience.

‘I did it…I DID IT!’ Zoey rejoiced, storing away the rest of the [Goblin Cores], as she only had a few left. She had been standing there, doing nothing but absorb [Goblin Cores] for the past few minutes.

Zoey grinned, she wanted to test the new power of her maximum levelled [Fireball] Skill. But she stopped herself, she didn’t want to try it on the weak slimes anymore.

No, she wanted to try it on the Slime King itself.

‘I have to locate the Slime King quickly, I can’t wait…argh!’ Zoey began to dash through the forest, using her [Heightened Senses] to sense the Mana of the Slime King.

‘There!’ In the distance, of what looked like to be a cliff, she could sense the Mana of the Slime King. Zoey increased her speed as she swiftly arrived at the end of the cliff, to find an amazing sight.

Giant waterfalls poured from all sides as she stood above them, leading down into a hazy, but also terrifying unknown area. Zoey could feel the Mana of the Slime King below, while she couldn’t gauge it’s strength as the monster wasn’t in her sight, she knew that it would definetly pose a threat to her.

‘Down there? I have to jump down there? But..’ A chill ran up her spine at the thought of jumping down below, she couldn’t see the end of the waterfall, all she could see was the constant down pour of water.

‘Sigh..I have no choice, I just need to jump!’ Zoey roared in her thoughts, leaping into the air and beginning her rapid descent into the depths below.

Her eyes roamed at her sides as she observed the pour of water, it was so strange, yet mesmerizing, where was all this water coming from? She didn’t know the answer, but it didn’t matter.

As the seconds dragged on, her body began to descent faster and faster, making her feel like a meteor falling from space. Just as Zoey saw a large veil of water, looking like the end of the waterfall, she brought out a [Goblin Shield], bracing for impact.

The waters rose high into the air as Zoey’s figure descended into the waters below, strangely, her clothes didn’t feel wet.

She hesitantly opened her eyes under water to see that she was now falling even deeper into the waters with a gentle fall, her vision clear and perfect, not an ounce of fatigue or pain on her body.

‘What the heck is happening?’ Zoey questioned, confusion crawling into her mind. She looked down below, noticing what looked like to be end of the veil of water. Her heart tightened as she saw the figure of a gigantic slime below, she immediately knew that this was the Slime King.

‘This is it! Time to test out my max leveled skill!’

Zoey descended from the water veil and out on the other side, she landed on the ground with a heavy landing, dust and hard rock flying everywhere as dust clouds spread around her.

The area around her looked like the inside of a cave, it was very dark, except thanks to the water veil above them allowing some light to pass through.

The Slime King turned around upon hearing her landing, it’s giant figure swishing and sloshing with the motion. This slime was much darker than the rest she had encountered on her journey, it’s body a deep dark blue.

Zoey grinned as she stretched her palm toward the monster, the air growing hot around her, a more powerful fireball materialized infront of her hand. It crackled with an intensity that sent shivers down her own spine, but those shivers were shivers of sheer excitment!

“Ah, I should’ve figured, you’re blue too, but I know the power you’re hiding so get on with it and transform already.”
