The scales of the Lizardmen glinted ominously as the Lizardmen eyed Zoey cautiously, their sharp claws that could easily rip through flesh like paper, hung heavily by their sides.

Their tall figures adding a combat advantage to them in terms of height, their keen senses, their quick-witted agility, made them a deadly foe that no Hunter would want to face without a death wish. Especially when they were in a group, which made them even more dangerous.

Not for Zoey though.

Zoey could only grin excitedly as she felt the power coursing through her veins, the crimson aura around her growing more and more intense as she skill continued to rapidly level up, thanks to the 100x effects of her [A Hundredfold Ascension] Talent.

“Hehe, what are you waiting for? Come at me.” Zoey mocked teasingly as she pointed her palm at the Lizardmen, activating her [Fireball] Skill as flames flickered to life, before a powerful blast of heat shot forward and straight into the group of Lizardmen, exploding fiercely.

“Gyaaah!” A demonic screech of pain howled from the Lizardmen as they suffered immense burn damage, their eyes locking onto Zoey with unrestrained fury as they charged forward in groups, the ground breaking under their speed and strength.

A Lizardmen leaped high into the air, raising it’s sharp claws to attack. Two more flanked her from both sides, attempting to overwhelm her, their sharp claws hoisted at their sides as they gleamed ominously in the dim light of the cave.

‘Nice try, but it would never work on me.’ Zoey grinned as she jumped back, the claw of the Lizardmen from above missing her. The other two Lizardmen didn’t wait around as they charged at her once more, but Zoey was ready to counter attack.

She dodged a slash from one of the Lizardmen and delivered a brutal slash across it’s chest in retaliation, blood and the sound of bones crushing filling the air as the blade cut deep, causing the Lizardmen to scream in agony.

She quickly locked eyes with the other Lizardmen as it delivered a slash aimed at her head, but she quickly dodged it by ducking under the attack, and plunging her sword deep into it’s chest, before delivering a strong kick as she pulled back the sword, sending the Lizardmen flying into a wall hard.

Finally, only a few Lizardmen remained as they stood together, their bodies tense with sweat and the heavy weight of fear that lingered on their shoulders, making them feel weak in the knees.

‘I recognize that expression.’ Zoey thought, her thoughts drifting back to the goblins she had hunted during her first dungeon raid, the way their faces paled when they saw her strength, their bodies tensing and trembling uncontrollably, she could remember it all perfectly, igniting a fierce grin on her face as her eyes shone with a dangerous light, the aura around her intensifying with every second that passed as the [Hardened Will] Skill continued to level up and boost her strength to new heights.

“Hahaha!” A crazed laugh escaped her lips as Zoey clutched her mouth, containing the physco that was threatening to escape. She quickly shook her head as she straightened herself, commanding herself to focus in the heat of battle.

‘1,000 Exp!?’ Zoey thought in shock, screaming internally. An excited grin formed on her face as she turned her attention back to the Lizardmen before her, ‘Hehe, coming to this dungeon was the right choice afterall. Looks like I’ll be gaining my second level up here, hehehe~’

Zoey couldn’t help but let a small excited giggle escape her lips, but she had to compose herself and keep her focus on the battle. She quickly dashed toward the Lizardmen that were still too scared to move, deciding to use another skill, [Armour Weathering].

A black pulse of magical energy formed at the surface of Zoey’s outstretched palm as it glowed ominously, before shooting forward toward the Lizardmen before they could react, and managing to impact one of them.

The Lizardmen’s body that was impacted was now surrounded by a small purple mist that enshrouded it’s body as it felt it’s body becoming weaker, the tough durability of it’s scales softening as it’s defenses were reduced.

‘Haha!’ Zoey laughed inwardly as she observed the aura of the Lizardmen drop from white to blue, meaning that it was now not a challenge that could pose a threat to her.

She delivered a strong slash at the Lizardmen that instantly killed it, cutting it’s body in half blood and guts flew everywhere. The other two Lizardmen quickly attacked as they clawed at her, but she swiftly spun on her heel in a 360° motion, killing them both as well in a graceful, and yey gorey manner.

‘Ooo~D-Rank Materials, this will come in handy.’ Zoey thought with a small smile, ignoring the bodies of the Lizardmen as they began to dissapear in a glowing light.

She turned her gaze to the three pathways of the cave, using her [Heightened Senses] Talent, she was quickly able to find the right path to choose, as the one at the right had auras of monsters she could easily see with her enhanced vision, while the other two were probably traps or dead ends.

Zoey started to walk further into the cave, going down the right path as she moved further inside. The sounds of her footsteps echoed through out the cave, reverbrating off the walls as she continued her advancement, her guard up as she kept her gaze ahead.

“This time, I’ll just kill you before you have a chance of even trying to kill me.” Zoey thought with a slightly frustrated sigh, as the figures of the Lizardmen were visible to her with her being able to see their auras, their hiding spots proving futile in her eyes.

[Fireball] was cast as a barrage of fireballs shot from her palm and exploded upon coming in contact with the Lizardmen, dustclouds and debre flying everywhere as the cave trembled slightly under the skill’s might.

The angry cries of the Lizardmen rang out from the dustclouds, as their figures bolted from the dust and toward her with quick speeds. Zoey planted her feet to the ground as she parried an attack of a Lizardmen, stumbling back a bit by the force of the attack.

The Lizardmen clawed and attacked as they flanked her from all sides, trying to overwhelm her with their attacks. But Zoey continued to block and easily evade their attacks, retaliating with her own counter attacks that gravely injured them and brought them to near death, even managing to kill a few.

Zoey glanced at her experience that was starting to rapidly fill up with every Lizardmen she took down, fueling her determination as she turned to the last two Lizardmen that stood in her way.

Deciding to finish the battle and stop playing around, Zoey activated [Hardened Will] as a powerful crimson aura enveloped her, boosting her power as her strength increased with great might.

Zoey dashed toward the remaining Lizardmen, [Knight’s Oath] held back behind her to deliver a powerful strike. The Lizardmen, though intimidated, dashed toward her as well, letting out a demonic battle cry.

‘It’s over.’ Zoey thought, activating [Grace Of The Wind]. A powerful concentrated burst of wind formed at the soles of her feet as her figure blurred with an insane burst of speed, the sword of her blade whistling in the air as the heads of the Lizardmen were removed before they could react.

“Phew…” Zoey breathed out as she landed on her feet gracefully, turning back to look at the bodies of the Lizardmen that were spraying out blood like fountains.

‘These skills are so overpowered!’ Zoey thought as she clenched her fist excitedly, moving deeper into the dungeon as she checked her status window.

Zoey couldn’t contain the grin forming on her face as her eyes glinted with excitement, maybe a bit too much as a small giggle escaped her lips, walking deeper into the dungeon.
