Chapter 36: Chapter 35: Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer

A teenager wearing glasses sat at his desk as he focused on brewing a potion, his eyes were locked in with intense focus as he got to work. Beside him a large selection of materials sat, and at his other side sat a massive recipe book for the potions and things he would craft, all written by himself.

“Steady…” He muttered to himself as he took out a mortar and a pestle, grinding what looked like to be beautiful blue grass that simmered with a mystical glow, mashing them and grinding them as he continued with the gruelling process.

After he was finished with the mortar and pestle, he sat aside as he the then turned his eyes onto the brewing stand on his desk, watching as the potion glasses held a murky green colour inside them, boiling with a small flame underneath.

‘Now it should…’ He observed carefully as he watched the green murky liquid inside the potion glass turn white, before then changing into a vibrant red colour, as his potion was now complete.

“Yes!” He said excitedly as he grabbed the potion and stared at it with stars in his eyes, deeply admiring his own work.

“Now, for a little test.” He muttered to himself as he grabbed a small blade at his side, and gently sliced a small cut on his palm, causing blood to begin flowing as he winced in pain at the sensation.

He stared at his bleeding hand for a moment, watching as the blood flowed down onto his desk. The potion he had prepared was grabbed in the next instant as he plopped the lid and drank a small portion of it’s contents, before setting the potion aside and glancing at his hand.

“Hehehe..perfect.” He grinned to himself proudly as he watched the wound on his hand visibly closing, the blood flow stopping as all the muscle and flesh kneeded itself together, and after a few more seconds, the hand was good as new.

‘Hmph,’ He thought with a cocky tone, ‘Too easy,’

“Woah…” A suprised in awe voice suddenly interrupted his train of thought, causing to quickly spin around to see two women have entered his room, without him noticing it!

“Zoey, you startled him.” Sarina reprimanded her lightly, staring at the boy with amused eyes.

“Haha,” Zoey laughed lightly, “I didn’t mean to, it just suprised me that’s all. I never saw a recovery potion take effect in person before.” She said apologetically, her voice tinged with slight interest.

‘So this is the guy she was talking about, I have to admit, he’s talented.’ She thought, nodding to herself at her analysis.

“S-sarina!?” The boy exclaimed suprised, shock evident on his face. He didn’t expect her, one of the guild’s S-Ranks, to be here inside his room, it suprised him greately.

“And who is….that….” The boy asked as he glanced at Zoey, who warmly smiled at him.

“Zoey, this is Axle, one of their our best Alchemists, specializing in Potion Crafting.” Sarina introduced the boy to her, “And Axle, this is Zoey, our newest member of the guild and member of the Elite Rankings.” She said as she introduced them both to each other.

“Zoey…wait a minute…” He muttered her name as he thought he heard it somewhere before, before realizing that the girl infront of him was Zoey Monroe! The A+Talent holder!

“Wait, you’re Zoey Monroe!? You’re the new talk of the guild!” Axle exclaimed, causing Zoey to chuckle, finding his reactions cute.

“Well, I am. Pleasure to meet you Axle,” Zoey said in a kind tone, before her voice took on a more serious sound “However, I’ve come to you for something very important.”

Sarina glanced at Zoey, before returning her gaze back to Axle with a nod, “Yes, Zoey has come to for a commission on a Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer.” She said, and immediately Axle straightened himself after hearing that.

Zoey was asking him to craft something of that caliber, as only the most brilliant Alchemists could pull this off without failing. After all, finding materials for such an Elixer would be very difficult, as they are scarse and extremely valuable.

“You want me to craft an Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer?” He asked to confirm, “Do you have the materials necessary for such a thing? As well the money to pay for it? I will let you know, that my services are quite expensive, and for something as difficult as this Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer, I’ll need to paid far extra!”

He demanded, staring at Zoey with an serious expression, expecting her to back out as he believed that she didn’t have the money, nor materials to craft such a thing.

“Well…I only have one material.” Zoey said as she opened her [Inventory] and took out the [Slime King’s Essence]. A large slimy substance immediately appeared into her hands, causing Zoey’s skin to crawl at how nasty it felt.

“!!!” Axle’s eyes widened immediately as he laid his eyes on the [Slime King’s Essence] that was on Zoey’s hands, he could feel the rich Mana practically radiating from, as if it was calling his name.

“Gimme that!” He yelled as he quickly snatched it from Zoey’s hands, much to her suprise. He stared at the [Slime King’s Essence] in his hands as he felt the Mana course through it, pulsing with a faint blue hue.

‘What the hell!? Where did she get such a thing!? Does she know how valuable this ingredient is alone!?’ He thought with a flabbergasted expression, turning to look at her with a raised brow.

“Well, how much for that Elixer? You can do it right?” Zoey asked, raising a brow.

“Heh! Who do you think I am? A newbie? Of course I can do it!” Axle said with determination, “However, this ingredient Alone wouldn’t do. Otherwise, the Elixer won’t be as potent. I’ll need more Ingredients, either you can buy them for me, or hunt for them yourself.” He said.

“Hmmmm…” Zoey thought about it for a moment, the thought of Hunting inside stronger dungeons intrigued her, however, she still had the $10 Billion Dollars sitting idly in her bank account that she needed to make use of, deciding that she will pay for the ingredients.

“How much do you need?” Zoey asked as she got out her smartphone from her pocket.

Axle grinned upon seeing her smartphone, “Hmmm…taking in all the Ingredients I’ll need for this to be as potent as possible, I’ll need about $348 Million dolllars,” He said with a smug grin, “Do you have that much?” He asked playfully.

“Oh! Alright,” Zoey replied suprised, she thought that he’d demand half a billion or something more than that, but she didn’t care as long as she got what she wanted. She can just make more by Hunting anyways.

“Perfect.” Axle grinned as he received the payment into his bank account, a satisfying notification sound coming from his phone as he checked it and noticed the money transferred.

“Well, I think we’re done here~” Sarina said as she glanced at Zoey, “I have some work to do, but before I go, I’d like to show you to your quarters.” Sarina said as she started to leave the room.

“Come back by next week! I’ll be done with the Elixer by then!” Axle shouted as she watched them leave, receiving an affirmative nod from Zoey as the closed behind her.

‘My quarters huh? Come to think of it…I’m starting to become a bit tired, so I think I’ll rest for a bit.’ Zoey thought as a cute yawn left her mouth.
