Chapter 187: Late Night Visit!

All three of them slept in their own rooms, but very late at night, in her own opulently appointed guest room, Serika tossed and turned.

The bed was softer than a cloud and the air was fragrant with the scent of night-blooming jasmine, but Serika couldn’t fall asleep.

Her mind was completely clouded by the thoughts of her master Jax, the thoughts that constantly stirred a deep desire within her.

After tossing and turning for another 15 minutes, the Fox-Kin sat up, the silk sheets pooling around her waist as her three fluffy fox tails swayed gently.

She stood up, her decision fully made as she didn’t even bother to put on a robe. Her simple, white cotton nightgown would have to do. She opened her door with a silent click, her padded feet making no sound on the cool, polished stone floors.

The castle was asleep, a sleeping giant breathing softly in the night. She moved like a ghost, a streak of white and purple in the moon-drenched corridors, until she stood before the door to the King’s chamber.

Her hand trembled as she reached for the handle. This was it. There was no turning back. She pushed the door open, just enough for her to slip through, and closed it behind her with the same quiet care.

The sight of him stole her breath. He was lying on his back, one arm thrown over his head, the sheets tangled around his waist, leaving his powerful chest and abdomen bare.

The soft, golden light from the crystal-chandeliers made his skin seem to glow, highlighting the contours of his muscles, the peaceful strength in his sleeping face.

She crept to the side of the enormous bed, her three tails swishing nervously behind her. For a long moment, she just watched him sleep, her heart aching with an emotion so powerful it brought tears to her eyes.

She loved him, she loved him so much she couldn’t hold herself back.

Gingerly, carefully, she placed a knee on the edge of the mattress. The bed shifted slightly under her weight, but he didn’t stir.

She crawled across the vast expanse of silk until she was kneeling beside him. The scent of him, clean and masculine and uniquely Jax, filled her senses, making her head spin. She leaned down, her long hair falling like a curtain around their faces.

Her first kiss was a feather-light brush of her lips against his cheek. He didn’t move. Emboldened, she kissed the corner of his mouth, her lips lingering for a moment longer. Still, he slept.

She needed more, she wanted him to wake up and see her so desperate for him.

Taking a shaky breath, she pressed her lips firmly against his. It was a soft, sweet kiss, filled with all the longing and adoration she had kept bottled up inside her for so long.

Jax stirred. A deep groan rumbled in his chest, not of displeasure, but of slow, sleepy awakening. His eyes fluttered open, blinking in the soft light. For a moment, they were unfocused, clouded with sleep. Then, they cleared, and they locked onto hers.

“Serika?” he murmured, his voice a husky, gravelly whisper that sent a shiver straight down her spine.

She pulled back just enough to look at him, her violet eyes wide and luminous in the dim light. “Master,” she whispered back, her voice trembling slightly.

He pushed himself up onto his elbows, his gaze sweeping over her, taking in the sight of her in his bed, her nightgown, her disheveled hair and her eager eyes.

A slow smile spread across his face. He didn’t speak. Instead, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her down onto the bed beside him, rolling over so he was hovering above her, his body caging hers. He looked down at her, his eyes dark with a hunger that was no longer sleepy, but wide awake and entirely focused on her.

“Waking me up, are you sure you’re ready for this, my little fox?” he asked, his voice a low, intimate rumble.

She answered by wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down for another kiss, this one deeper, more insistent. It was all the answer he needed.

He kissed her back, his lips moving against hers with a practiced expertise that made her head spin. He explored her mouth slowly, sensually, tasting her, claiming her.

His hands began to wander, tracing the curve of her hip, the line of her thigh, before moving up to the thin strap of her nightgown.

He hooked his finger under the strap and slowly, agonizingly, pulled it down over her shoulder. He repeated the action on the other side, his eyes never leaving hers.

The simple cotton gown loosened, and he began to peel it down, his knuckles brushing against her skin, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. He was teasing her, drawing out the moment, making her body hum with anticipation.

She shivered as the cool night air kissed her newly exposed skin. He pulled the gown down further, revealing the soft swell of her breasts. He paused, his gaze hot and appreciative, before leaning down and pressing a soft, wet kiss to the hollow of her throat.

“Jax…” she gasped, her hands clutching at his shoulders.

He chuckled, a low, deep sound that vibrated against her skin. “Patience, Serika,” he murmured, his lips trailing down her chest, “I want to savor this.”

He continued his slow, torturous journey, peeling the gown away inch by inch, revealing the soft, flat plane of her stomach, the gentle curve of her hips.

He took his time, kissing and nipping at every new patch of skin he uncovered, worshipping her body with his mouth. He was in no rush. This was her first time, and he was determined to make it unforgettable.

Finally, the gown was a forgotten puddle of white silk at the foot of the bed. She lay before him, completely bare, her three tails fanned out across the sheets as she looked into his eyes,
