The screening hall was pitch black, so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face.

“Lure him into a trap?” Pepper said. “You want Tony to blast another hole in your chest?”

Jason snorted coldly. “Pissing me off won’t end well for you. If you dare say one more word on the way, I’ll put a few holes in you myself. Let’s just hope Tony isn’t too disgusted with you when he arrives.”

Hearing this, Pepper was terrified and quickly shut her mouth.

She didn’t know if Jason meant “holes” literally or in a much more depraved sense, but either way, it was an outcome she couldn’t accept.

The only thing she could do now was obey Jason’s commands and wait for Tony to rescue her.

Once the screening hall was empty, Jason strode out the theater’s main entrance.

The street outside the theater was still completely empty.

Even though Jason had wasted a good bit of time, there was still no sign of police or military.

“Hmph, a bunch of cowards.”

Gathering energy in his feet, Jason shot straight into the sky with Pepper, flying toward the Hollywood Hills.

The theater was very close to the Hollywood Hills, less than 2,000 meters as the crow flies. Jason had barely taken off before he was already preparing to land.
