Chapter 43: Absolute Obedience
“Why not?”
“Since you said she made a bet using her title and family name,” Evaline finally let out the chuckle she was holding in, “She has to be with you, by your side now until you die or disperse her services completely…she has to obey all of your orders.”
“…” Klaus stood still as his lips twitched, he hadn’t even expected that at all.
“Felines like humans have to hold their promises, otherwise, their god Dramaya punishes them, according to their laws.” Evaline could hardly explain as she kept chuckling.
’Dramaya? Laws?’
He turned towards Jyrana, “Is this true?” She instantly nodded, answering truthfully.
He turned back towards Evaline, who was now full on laughing, filling his ears with her laugh.
Klaus took a deep breath and nodded, “Thanks for the explanation…” Evaline, however, wiped a tear from her eyes and kept laughing.
Jyrana just became more and more embarrassed as Evaline kept laughing endlessly.
“Then we’ll go in,” He tapped Evaline on the shoulder as she kept laughing, then they both walked past her into the building.
The reception was empty this time as they walked past it, many eyes turning towards the two.
“I heard he beat him mercilessly!”
“I thought they were dating!”
Many chuckled as the two kept walking without saying anything, Klaus didn’t care, however, Jyrana seemed to be embarrassed as her face kept flashing red and pink.
’It’s not that bad…right?’ His door opened in front of the two, allowing them entry.
Jyrana looked around and was pleasantly surprised at the clean room Klaus had, “I thought it would be more messy..” She looked at the bed, seeing Klaus’s other clothes, he became even more embarrassed.
’What’s with her?’ He dropped himself on the bed without saying anything, as she just stood still in front of the bed.
“Are you just going to stare—”
Before he could finish, Jyrana jumped on the bed as well, nearly shattering the frame and the entire bed with her weight.
“That’s not what I meant..”
She kept looking at him like a puppy waiting for orders, however, he didn’t have anything to say to her at this point, he just wanted to rest some.
’But dispersing her services would be too bad, she might become powerful in the future,’ so he just shrugged it off and instead asked the question he had in mind.
“How will you attend your lectures now?”
Her lips instantly started quivering as she thought of an answer, “I-I’m not allowed to—”
“Just attend them,” Klaus sighed as he facepalmed, her smile instantly lit up, however, it instantly disappeared after hearing what Klaus said next.
“You won’t be of any use to me if you lag behind because you’re weak,” His tone was dismissive, Jyrana could tell he was serious, down to his core.
“W-weak?” Her lips kept shaking as her eyes were shut, her tail wagging violently.
“I held back a lot,”
“What?” She stopped instantly as she held herself back from grabbing him and pinning him down on the bed.
“I didn’t even use any runes.” As soon as she said that, her face turned into pure shame and embarrassment.
“You can use runes..?”
“Yeah? Can’t most mages do so with a runequill?”
“NO, OBVIOUSLY NOT!”
“Huh?”
Klaus wasn’t understanding her, he genuinely thought most mages could use runes if they had used a runequill.
She sighed and stood up, circling around the room.
“Only mages with pure and greatly controlled mana can use runes properly,” She looked at him dead in the eye, “Sure, some mages can get lucky and use runes like one out of a hundred tries… even some people that can use runes need at least ten tries to use them!”
Her eyes shook once, then she stepped closer, “How long did it take you to use runes?”
“Uh,” Klaus remembered his private training room, “Like two… I managed to use some on my first time.”
“…” Her face turned perplexed as her hands shook whilst she laughed like a maniac.
“?” Klaus turned his head, not understanding why she suddenly went crazy.
“At least I lost to a crazy genius..” She covered her mouth realising what she just said, then bowed instantly.
’What the fuck is going on?’
“I apologise for calling you crazy, master!” She started licking his boots again, which made Klaus churn back on the bed in embarrassment.
“Just stop!”
“NO, I MUST EXPRESS MY APOLOGY!”
—
Friedrich stood in a room, the room had one long table and nine seats, however, there were only four students in there. He was sitting in a seat numbered three.
The room itself was small, however, not small enough to suffocate, just like a student’s bedroom would be.
“We are the student council, you shouldn’t make bets, Friedrich,” the second seat spoke up, slamming her hands on the table.
“I know, I know,” Friedrich lifted his hands in a sign of defeat, his tongue out as he didn’t care about what the second seat was saying at all.
“You really shouldn’t do this dumb stuff,” the fourth seat chimed in as he was seated upside down on the ceiling.
“Bruyi, don’t intervene,” the second seat stood up and tried to grab him off the ceiling, Friedrich just laughed at the two.
“Skara, you are just jealous of me—”
“Stop,” the person seated at the far end of the table, in the seat titled number one, finally decided to interfere.
His yellow hair and eyes observed every little thing happening in the room, despite his eyes being closed.
“Sorry, brothe–” Before Friedrich could even say the word, a tremendous amount of aura enveloped his head.
“What did I say?” Friedrich’s body instantly began shaking, “a weakling like you doesn’t get to call me brother.”
“I-I understand, Sir Gilhelm,” Friedrich gulped down his saliva, and the pressure slowly stopped tightening.
Despite the two being brothers, Friedrich wasn’t allowed to address Gilhelm as his brother due to the huge difference in their strength.
“Skara, Bruyi, Friedrich, straighten yourselves,” as soon as he said that, they instantly straightened in their seats, Bruyi even descended onto the fourth seat.
Everyone in the student council obeyed him due to his strength.
As soon as everyone was done, Gilhelm cleared his throat, his voice was raspy for some reason, to appear even more mysterious. “Now, Friedrich, tell me the story again. How did Klaus defeat Jyrana?”
