Chapter 9: Utter Defeat

“Seriously Klara, a beating in front of a kid?” Zephyr sighed and clapped his hands making the blood around them disappear completely.

“A narcissistic rat like you doesn’t deserve second chances,” Klara gritted her teeth and launched herself down.

“Grab onto this, kid.”

’Huh?’ Klaus couldn’t even react as soon as Zephyr said those words he launched him into the air.

’WHAT?!’ However before he could fall a stone ball with holding handles materialized under him.

’Oh, I’m like a spectator,’ Right after that the entire hill was destroyed.

Pieces of stone and earth fell everywhere, a gigantic smokescreen covered his vision of the fight. However, the trees down on the ground seemed to be shaking, just like they would if an earthquake happened.

“Let’s give the brat a show eh?” The smokescreen cleared and Zephyr stood there, grabbing Klara’s fist stopping her attack before it would land.

’Is he just toying with her?’ Klaus shook her head.

The woman looked dangerous yet Zephyr made it seem like he was playing around with a kid.

’Just how strong is he actually…’ He watched as Klara shook free and dashed back, creating a crater with her pure foot.

’…just how strong are both of them instead,’ His eyes were twitching from just watching the two at this point.

“CRIMSON LASH!” Klara yelled as a long whip made of solidified blood materialized in front of her and launched towards Zephyr.

’Wowzers,’ Klaus leaned forward with anticipation, his eyes practically gleaming with excitement.

“Infinite reflection,” As soon as Zephyr finished those words the whip launched itself back against Klara, its direction changing in an instant, leaving Klara defenseless and she was only able to block by using her arms as defense.

She was launched back and a huge dust screen appeared due to the landing of the attack.

Zephyr turned towards Klaus while waving his hand.

’Is he legit trolling…?’ Klaus’s eyes twitched as he facepalmed.

“BLOOD MIRAGE,” a yell came through the dust cloud as multiple Klaras rushed towards Zephyr.

However he wasn’t even fazed, his white robe fluttered slightly and he brushed his hair back.

All of the Klaras’ footsteps left small craters behind them with each step.

’Crazy..’ Klaus couldn’t help but be amazed.

“Astral severance,” Zephyr swung his arm sideways in a vertical slash, and space seemed to explode.

’WOAHH’ Klaus screamed as he had to hold onto the handles of the stone for his dear life.

’The hell,’ he looked down and he saw a vertical line in space, almost like Zephyr had cut the dimension itself leaving a small tear in space.

The clones had died off and Klara stood shaken with a gigantic slash on her stomach, blood oozing out of her body rapidly.

Even if he wasn’t the one fighting him thankfully he still felt beads of sweat forming on himself.

“Retreat, you’ll die.” Zephyr offered however Klara just bit her lip.

“Hemocrysalis,” She muttered as her own blood started surrounding her like a second skin, she was like a person in a cocoon, however soon that cocoon turned into armor made out of blood.

The scar on her stomach healing rapidly, it was getting stitched together by her own blood..

’Kinda creepy,’ Klaus shuddered.

However Zephyr just yawned.

“Gravity Collapse,” Klara instantly fell to the ground, her body was pressed down so hard it created a ginormous crater.

“Fuck,” She cursed as her body felt like it weighted tons, the pressure was slowly crushing her entire body and insides as well.

“Forfeit and I might show you mercy,” Zephyr chuckled as he took deliberately slow steps forward, they were light steps, you couldn’t even hear them. However they carried an immense amount of pressure, each step forward meant Klara was one step closer to death.

“Should I just end you?” He now stood directly in front of the struggling Klara who couldn’t even move, her blood armor slowly started cracking.

“Give up already,” He sighed and lowered himself however Klara wasn’t planning on doing that.

“S-sanguine chains,” She stuttered out the spell and her armor dissipated and turned into chains binding the two of them together. They wrapped around Zephyr trying to crush him however he just stood still, calm, no panic whatsoever.

’He’s confident,’ Klaus shook his head yet again.

“Void eclipse,” A dark sphere materialized in front of Zephyr and swallowed all of the chains whole, like they didn’t even exist in the first place.

To Klaus it felt like staring into nothingness, or rather absolute darkness itself.

“Fuck,” Klara spat blood onto the ground, her body still under pressure in critical condition.

Zephyr sighed and lifted his hand, releasing the pressure on her body.

“Get lost, come back when you’re stronger,” He then turned and walked away.

“If I cant…kill you..then ill kill the kid—” before she could even finish the sentence Zephyr’s foot splattered her head into a thousand pieces as he stomped on it. Blood covered his white robe now.

“Should have taken my offer,” He looked up and smiled at Klaus who was shocked at the events that happened in front of him.

’There is no way he just…what the fuck,’ His stomach hurled and he threw up onto the rock.

Zephyr snapped his fingers and the entire scene disappeared including the body of Klara, the terrain returned to its old state before the gigantic craters and destroyed hill.

The stone slowly floated back towards Zephyr who just waited for Klaus calmly.

’He’s insane,’ He wanted to throw up again however he kept it in, this was the first time he saw a person die in front of him ever.

“She shouldn’t have crossed the line,” Zephyr chuckled as he snapped his finger again, making the stone disappear as Klaus landed on his butt whilst wiping his mouth. His white robe was also clear now completely.

Everything was back to normal, like the fight never took place in the first place.

’How strong is he if he goes all out,’ to Klaus it was obvious that the calm whistling Zephyr in front of him was holding back during the fight, which left his full strength still a mystery.
