I could almost feel my headache growing as I looked at the two midgets kneeling and shuddering in both terror and reverence in front of me as I lounged on an armchair outside Fyrestone. Ladon stalked around them sniffing them and debating whether or not he wanted to cook them first before eating them.

“Go play with the Skags Ladon, stop scaring the mortals.” I said shooing the dragon off.

The big reptile huffed at this but left to go hunt the seemingly unending supply of Skags that lived near the town.

“So tell me again what it is you are here for?” I said lazily.

“The heretical Bone smasher clan defiles one of the sacred sites you bid us find. They hide behind a great wall that we can not breach. Your voice Lord Vater commanded us seek out your godliness to request ascension and your wisdom.” the one with a rotting Spider ant carapace on it’s head said.

“Hmmm, very well.” I say before standing up and spreading my wings wide as I yawned.

I tossed out my house before walking into the portal and towards my workshop. For a wall like that I didn’t want to use mere explosives since that could damage the Eridian stuff but there were alternatives. Laser boring, acid, cold destabilizers or even sonic concussion. There were so many different flavors of the rainbow I could choose between but in this case I kept it simple with a Doormaker/TM. It was a nifty bit of tech I made that took inspiration from those old cartoons where someone cuts a hole in a glass plane before poking the glass in the hole out making an entrance.-

In this case the Doormaker/TM was a ring shaped thing that was five feet across and had four all material suction cups set equal distance apart. The device was attached to the surface of the thing you wanted a hole punched through and then you hit a big red button. The device would then activate a series of high density lasers that would carve out the material until you merely needed to “push the door open” hence the name. The one I had was something I whipped up for my army in the future since locked doors and people hiding in bunkers is no fun to deal with.-

As for the whole ascension thing I figured I’d make a few stops to grab the traits needed for such a thing. Naturally [Gigantism] was one to take care of the [Dwarfism] trait they had but beyond that I figured I’d add a special touch to make them more than just a copy of Vater since it wouldn’t do to have my first follower get relegated to just another of the same thing. Besides it would help the cult in the future if it was clear that the ascensions weren’t just copy and paste. Really hammer home the whole god idea.

‘Not just an idea now that I have a trait, albeit incomplete, that says I qualify is it?’ I thought idly as I packed the Doormaker/TM away.

I next moved over to the teleporter room and made a few stops. The first at Eden six to get the [Multilimbed], [Gigantism], [Dexterous hands], [Aerial expertise] and [Sharp sight] traits. The Athenas for the [Compact form], [Active camouflage] and [Efficient lungs] traits. I returned to Pandora after that and found the two midgets still kneeling in place as though they dared not leave without my say so.-

‘Kudos I guess.’ I thought before ignoring them to go grab the last few ingredients for the dishes I had in mind.

I grabbed [Hard skin] and [Predator muscles] for both of them. Then I grabbed [Elemental body(corrosion)] and [Elemental body(shock)] as well as the resistance trait for both elements. That done I sat down in my armchair finally and set to work fusing the [Multilimbed] and [Aerial expertise] traits in a different way than I did when making the [Multilimbed(winged quadruped)] trait though similar. In this case I was adding wings to a person rather than a reptile so the trait had to be adjusted though the name was curiously the same in the end.-

All in all I ended up spending nearly a quarter million units of lifeforce or roughly two hundred fifty thousand on all of this. That fusion in particular took a hefty chunk since I had to do it manually. After I fused my siren traits along with Lil’s the price of stuff dropped a bit as “room” was made but this was a lot of not so cheap traits. –

“Ascension is no clean matter so I hope you are both prepared to endure unspeakable agony as I remake your form in my image.” I said to the two midgets finally.

“”We are ready!”” they both said simultaneously.

“Alright then. Follow me.” I said as I got up and walked into my still open house.

I led the two into my house and then further into the bathroom before commanding them to strip and discard their clothes in the disposal chute. That done I told them to lay down and when they did I placed my hands on each of their chests and sent in their unique ascension traits. The one who wore a Spider ant carapace got [Gigantism], [Dexterous hands], [Compact form], [Active camouflage], [Hard skin], [Predator muscles], [Elemental body(corrosion)] and [Corrosion resistance].-

The one with the Rakk on his head got

[Multilimbed(Winged quadruped)], [Gigantism], [Sharp sight], [Efficient lungs], [Hard skin], [Predator muscles], [Elemental body(shock)] and [Shock resistance]. Naturally the transformation that came from all this getting stuffed into their bodies all at once was horrifically violent. They could not even scream as their bodies tore themselves apart and rebuilt themselves dramatically superior to before. The one given [Multilimbed(Winged quadruped)] in particularly had it rough as new muscle groups formed along with two large strong bat like wings.-

I was quite satisfied with the final product once all the excess had been cleaned away and the transformations ended. The one that had the Spider ants carapace had a smaller than average body of tight firm muscles and the power of corrosion and camouflage, a dangerous assassin. The one who had the Rakk was taller than normal by a small amount with a wiry build and two large powerful tan bat like wings several meters across on his back all while bearing the power of electricity.-

I left them in the bathroom floundering about with their new bodies after getting some measurements. With those I had my maker thing spit out two special outfits personalized for both of them. For the now winged one the outfit was a hyper lightweight electrically conductive armored body suit with wing slits on the back and built in cup. This also came with a special helmet based off an eagle’s head. The beak was even combat functional as a blade! The second outfit was an adaptive camouflage armored porous body suit made of hyper corrosive resistant materials. This one came with a helmet that was more or less just a Spider ant carapace that had an inbuilt air filter and fully transparent shell from the inside.-

I dressed both of them nice and kindly before throwing them into the sim room to figure out their new bodies.

“Sink or swim, have fun!” I called before leaving them to figure it out on their own.

That done I went back to relaxing on my armchair while Ladon terrorized the local fauna, indeed all was well in life.
