Who else would have even considered coming here, killing everyone and stealing the money?”

“What I am getting at, is that I, who has killed you, will not face the consequences” Anoteros shoved all of the coins into a nearby bag, picked up everything that he had brought with him, and then reached for an oil lamp, nearby, he had already gone around and dragged the remains of the goons here, all three of them were put in a line and posed as though they had peacefully died in their sleep.

Extinguishing the lamp, he began dousing the corpses, including the one that was still alive, and began spreading paper and all that inflammable all over the place, doing so with the same casualness as usual, going all around the two-storey house was relatively quick as it really wasn’t that big.

But he still found a way to have hope, for he was still alive, and that until he died, his survival might just still be possible, or so his failing brain was trying to convince him, but seeing the loathsome shadow appear again, lit candle in hand, his head sank and he could only stare at his soon-to-be murderer.

If you could speak you would spit out a ‘Why?’ whilst looking all resigned and defiant, heheheh… Been a while since someone looked like that, these days, people look at me lovingly and with pride, I won’t say that it makes me sick, that is false, I quite like the positive attention, it makes for a nice contrast, that’s why you foster a good reputation…”

Goodbye then” and with this, Edrick threw the candle on Golden Teeth’s chest, the oil set alight, the humble flame rapidly turning into an inferno as it spread along the oil and to the various inflammable items placed everywhere.

On his way out, Edrick used a key that he stole to lock the door and then flung said key through an open window, naturally, he had made sure to leave some windows open to allow the air to feed the fire.

Who knew, perhaps the blaze would spread to some surrounding habitations? Anoteros wasn’t an obligate pyromaniac, but he had to admit that fireshows were always fun to look at, especially if you were the one responsible for them.

But he did not linger around any longer than he should, a fire would quickly be noticed and he didn’t want to be anywhere nearby when the city guards showed up, so on his way back, he was swift and stealthy, sneaking back into the sect, the outer disciple still knocked out, this fellow would probably never know that he was to be blamed for a quadruple homicide…

Before they could voice out their worries, Edrick raised his hands, effectively silencing them as they waited for him to speak.

“I am perfectly fine, in fact, I feel like I am bursting with energy, why don’t you help me with that? Let’s have a nice, long bath” he said, making all three of his wives swallow back whatever they wanted to say or ask.

“I’ll take care of preparing it” as usual, Linmin took charge and was quick to go.

“Lord Lucien… You seem even more handsome covered in blood…” Hui seemed to have discovered something else about her and was breathing heavily as she took in her husband’s figure.

“Lord Anoteros… Does killing invigorate you?” asked Fanqia, knowing where this was going, Edrick smiled.

“It does indeed, every single time, without fail” he replied.

“Aah… Then… Don’t hesitate to kill more, we’ll always be here for you afterwards…” she blushed, naturally, none of his wives cared about the fact that their husband was a vile murderer, more concerned with his own well-being and the prospect that each venture of this sort would result in a ‘bath time session’ as Fanqia and Linmin called it.

“Hui, this will be your first time in a bath session, you’ll see that it’s great!”

“Ooh, Linmin mentioned it before! Will we truly get ruined that much?” the bespectacled girl was all excited at the idea, and was quick to go when Linmin came to announce that the preparations were done.

“Ever as efficient, Linmin” commented Anoteros, slapping the nearest backsides and startling them to go ahead.

Not only was Edrick feeling especially amorous due to what he had just done, but also because he had earned himself a new ability just before whose description had made him want to test it.

He was certain that his wives would very much like that new power of his, they had all gotten used to the challenges of their man being excessively well-endowed, and he wasn’t planning on announcing the specifics of this new ability until after he used it on them.

The surprise and reaction shall be especially good sights.
