So now, one might actually be fooled and don’t suspect anything was hidden behind the empty barrel.

“I see that she’s still wearing nothing but a small nightgown, I thought I would ask you to get her some more clothes?” the barman shrunk under Edrick’s gaze.

“What about the nightgown? Is it not uncomfortable?”

“She has a few nightgowns like this one and they were taken with her when she was enslaved… Or so I was told” answering as quickly as possible, he sighed in relief when Anoteros directed his gaze toward the Docilis Succubus, currently she was just lying about without doing anything and just staring into empty space, the barman had tried to earn an amount of friendliness by offering to get her some other things to do in there, but it seemed like this was her idea of killing time.

“Leave this room” said Anoteros, making the man gulp as he imagined what was going to happen, even if she was far from nice to him, Luxuli was still just a young girl…

“Very well…” but he didn’t have the guts to say anything to Anoteros, although he couldn’t know for sure, it was pretty damn clear to him that he was the one who had killed Golden Teeth and burnt down his place, or at least, he had hired someone to do it, in any case, Edrick wasn’t someone the barman wanted to mess with in any sort of a manner.

Edrick was dressed in all grey, and a sort of cape draped over his shoulders, as well as a rapier fastened to his waist, he didn’t quite fit the local aesthetic completely, looking more like some sort of noble on his way to a duel to the death.

The door at the top of the stairs was shut and only then did Luxuli seemed to acknowledge his presence, sitting up whilst holding her legs close to the body, chin resting on her knees, such a position was rather interesting when considering the nightgown was all that she wore and that didn’t cover that much…

“…You’re weird…” she said in Nimeri with a slight accent, her voice as soft on the ears as silk was to the skin, Anoteros guessed that she could probably be an incredible lullaby singer with such sweet sounds escaping her rosy lips.

The cage that once surrounded the bed had been removed as Edrick had demanded, so there was nothing in between the two of them.

“Now… These are your first words to me?” he said, taking a step forward, Luxuli looked troubled but didn’t move.

“Right… Sorry… I know you’re the one who killed my slaver… So thank you for that, but you’re still weird, why would you do that instead of just buying me and having me as your slave? I thought you wanted to have me for free, but I felt the item controlling the collar being destroyed as well…” her eyes shifted to and away from him as she spoke, not feeling quite comfortable under his constant, direct stare straight into her eyes.

Edrick didn’t respond and only moved right up to the very end of the bed, casting his shadow over the fair demon.

“Why would that be so strange?” he asked, his smile somehow simultaneously charming and deeply unsettling, Luxuli once again stood still but only threw short glances in his direction anymore.

“…Because I can tell you what you want… To do things with me, like the guy with golden teeth or that tall man just now… They didn’t do anything because they thought I was more valuable as a virgin, or because they’re afraid of you… But you could have just bought me, you clearly have the money and I couldn’t have said no or resisted, so why?”

“Mmh, you don’t have any idea?” he said this, and then leaned forward, making the girl look away.

“Say…” not expecting an answer to his previous question, he continued speaking “…If I told you to offer yourself to me right now, would you?”

“…Yes… I-I do not mind that, my kind is supposed to do to live…”

“You seem hesitant, are you afraid of me?”

“…Yes, you’re scaring me…”

“J-Just get done with it-” Luxuli attempt to take off her nightgown but was stopped by Anoteros’s hand.

“Your kind may be good at what you claim, but you are clearly not very experienced if you can’t tell what I want when I am being open with you” he smiled and grabbed her delicate chin.

“Luxuli… You have my interest, so don’t squander it- I’ll let you know that being able to tell that a man wants to ravage you is nothing impressive, men will want to bed women, even those that aren’t that pretty, that is a constant… So just tell me what that material your gown is made out of”

“Huh?”

“Just answer”

“It’s woven out of mummy spider silk…”

“I see, then wait here for a little, alright? You can boss the other guy around all you want and hit him if he displeases you, nobody cares about this guy… I’ll be visiting often”

Edrick let go of her chin and just walked away without any other word, leaving the stunned Luxuli there, without a clue of what had just happened or what was wrong with this man, if he truly wanted her like he implied that he did, then why didn’t he just do it right there?

“W-What is your name?” she asked before he completely exited through the door.

“Edrick Lucien Anoteros” he replied before leaving for good.

“…Edrick… Lucien… Anoteros…? The name is odd too…”
