Sitting all by herself, behind the counter, in this immense library, Hui hummed a joyful tune, she looked exactly the same as she did the day before, but the librarian knew that something had changed for the better, looking around and perking her ears, it seemed like today would be yet another day without much visitors, she didn’t know why there were so many tables and chairs dispersed around the place as most disciples would come to get a book an elder or senior would have recommended to them, those that stayed around generally did so because they were in a group and the library was more spacious than the rooms granted to them by the sect.

And even then, she didn’t see much people at all, her job as the librarian wasn’t to check who took which book and such, that process was actually made by itself thanks to a special, protective array, she was more-so here to take care of the place and fix books that were damaged, it was a rather cozy occupation, most of the other librarians wouldn’t even show up everyday, they would mostly lounge in the backroom or be out and about.

This lack of people pleased her, the doors opening always made a particular sound, so unless she heard it, it meant that the fun time with Edrick could get loud.

At this moment, the recognisable squeaking of the doors being opened up was heard, looking up from the book she was reading, hoping that it would be the large figure of her beloved that would appear within her vision soon, but instead, she visibly paled.

“Y-Yin… What a surprise! I thought you had gotten everything you wanted from this library a long time ago… We didn’t get any new books or-” trying to take the conversation away before it even began, Hui just stumbled upon her words and rendered her nervousness bare to be viewed.

“Hui, how are you doing today?” asked the blonde girl, the tomboy’s presence was supposed to be reassuring, and Hui was really thankful to have her as a friend, but right now, her presence here was a terrible thing.

‘Crap! Shit! Dammit! Aah… Ooh… If she even does as much as see Edrick, I am sure she’ll instantly guess that it’s him!’ one just needed to eyes to notice that Anoteros fitted the bill to be the sort of guy that could do what Yin believed was done to the bespectacled girl, one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but one also had to admit that the cover said a lot about the content.

And Hui had a pretty good grasp of how Edrick was, the odds that he would act oblivious were pretty high, but so were the odds that he might say something unsavoury to her if he noticed just how worked up she was about this whole deal.

‘I didn’t even have time to tell him about her!’ their only interaction was a session of lovemaking everyday, which left Hui as a twitching mess most of the time, she had not seen him since running into Yin yesterday.

Maintaining her expression into one awkwardness insead of the the full-on panic she was experiencing, Hui responded :

“Yes, I am great in fact! I-” an idea went through her mind “-I managed to figure out what I did wrong with the cultivation technique, you know, the one from yesterday… Take a look!”

She raised her sleeves and demonstrated the lack of the marks that had been there just yesterday, even those on her neck were completely gone.

“See?”

The inner disciple eyed her suspiciously.

‘She’s not buying it!’ the librarian wanted to scream and bash her head against the wall.

“Hui… Are you sure you don’t want to tell me who it is? I’ll end up finding him myself… That beast- I’ll make sure to neuter him before putting him down, you don’t have to endure any-“

Hui suddenly stood up and grabbed Yin’s shoulders tightly.

“Yin, I am telling you, I am fine, as fine as I can be in fact! Did you ever see me so bright and joyful? Come on! Let’s just walk around like we used to for a while, we haven’t spoken in so long!” she spoke especially loudly, leading her blonde friend away.

Meanwhile, Edrick watched with a raised eyebrow, this quizzical expression soon turned into one of amusement as he realised what was happening, looking that inner disciple girl up and down.

Hui pushed Yin along until they turned and began walking in between two rows of books, all neatly arranged upon incredibly tall shelves.

Though, before the librarian vanished as well, she madly signed at Edrick like some sort of maniac, her face looking beet red, seemed like the danger was only making her more excited.

Her hand motions could only be called senseless by most, but he understood that she was trying to tell him to go into the backroom and hide until she managed to get that friend of hers away.

However, she wasn’t the one in charge here, and Edrick responded by miming a clock and then raising two fingers at her, the way her face warped in sheer shock and trepidation indicated that she had in fact understood the message.

Edrick then casually headed into the backroom, whilst Hui tried her best to get Yin to leave somehow, it would have been simple to just talk and walk, but unless she was stupid, Anoteros had just told her to get there in two minutes, which was not enough time at all for her to do what she had planned.

‘Two minutes… One minute and fifty nine seconds… I hope he’ll like it…’ Hui didn’t even know how she managed to hold any sort of coherent conversation at all, but as the two minute limit approached, she feinted some vague issue she had and blurted something about needing to go.

“W-Wait here, alright? I should be back in- In sometime!” Yin wasn’t too suspicious at this reaction, since Hui was exceptionally awkward normally, and she had indeed turned redder and redder as time went on, so much so that the inner disciple could nearly feel the heat radiating from her without direct contact.

She made a bee-line toward the backroom, slipping inside and locking the door so fast that she herself barely had time to register it, throwing the key on top of some random furniture, she rushed up to Edrick and grabbed onto him.

“Sir… Argh” she tried to beg for it but Anoteros already had his thumb into her mouth, which she couldn’t resist licking.

“Mmh… Did you change something?” he asked, and she immediately beamed a smile.

‘It’s working already!’

“Yesh…” she didn’t stop licking whilst responding.

“I see” unceremoniously, he tore most of her clothes off, right before a knock came at the door.
