When morning came, Edrick was faced with a nice surprise, Fanqia still knocked out right beside him, though, still having managed to find a way to latch on one of his arms, squeezing it against her chest like it was the holy grail.

Although only Edrick possessed the Depraved Cultivation System, the system in general was something everyone and everything had, he had received a bit of intel through wisps on this.

Most people could not even begin to view anything about it, however, it was there, it worked like intended, but they were blind to whatever was going on, no convenient status window, no voice in their heads, nothing.

The rest weren’t much better off as their system would be displayed in obscure manners, only a small amount could truly take a look at the various aspects of the system in a clear and concise manner, which turned out to not actually be that useful as the system did not actually require any input to do its thing.

It was almost like a self-sufficient organ that never got sick, whether you know it’s here or not, it will function like everyone else’s.

And as Anoteros could see by skimming through it, there really was nothing much of importance, not having many questions as the wisps had already provided sufficient explanations.

The ‘stats’ started at zero for everyone and everything, the value of one point of any stat was determined by the particular user, if they were strong already, one point of strength would be extra valuable, whilst if they were a bedridden weakling, ten points of strength would be practically meaningless.

And the ‘skills’ they were all just passives earned and levelled by doing whatever was associated with them, when you practised something, you would inevitably also be upgrading the corresponding skill, which when levelling up, could provide additional insight and such, but since it was level by one level, it wasn’t really noticeable even if there.

Edrick himself had already a bit of stats since he had killed a few people, and of course, being that he was who he was, even one point was valuable with him, and since murder was one of his favourite activities, this would just go up by itself.

There were many other things but that was beside the point for now, he instead focused on the area that displayed that ability he just earned, and although the regular system wouldn’t display any explanation for anything, his special depraved one would.

Edrick wasn’t certain what the difference would be in craving on her part, but he could already make constatations concerning the other aspects of this power, at least pertaining to the supposed awareness of their psyche and body.

And indeed, Anoteros seemed to just know that Fanqia was in good health and even had an idea of what was going on inside of her head, she was dreaming about last night’s session, having clearly enjoyed it quite a bit as the girl seemed to be yearning for more already.

Which was good, as this lovely girl was in for a crash course in how to be a good wife to him, this first time had been simple, it had just been Edrick introducing her to bed-time relations…

But for now, Fanqia needed to recover for a bit, even when just lying there like some sort of dead fish, she had gotten so exhausted that trying to teach her anything else would not be conclusive.

Instead, Edrick stood up and left her to slumber for a while longer, he got dressed and went to the dining room, where Linmin was already preparing breakfast, the servant looking ashamed and avoiding to look directly at his lord.

“My dear little Linmin… Why did you run away last night?” he placed a hand on each of the yellow-haired servant’s shoulders, who just froze and looked down.

“I-” he considered lying but was unable to do something like that to his lord, no matter the situation.

“I am so sorry, Lord Edrick! I didn’t mean to spy on you like that- I was just taken aback and came to check if everything was alright since Lady Fanqia was being incredibly loud…”

“Heh, you can say that again, that girl has impressive vocal cords… But I wasn’t asking for an apology, I don’t care about that, I want to know why you ran away, after all, why did you stay and watch after realising that all was fine? Mmh?” tapping his fingers upon the shoulders, feeling Linmin trembling from embarrassment.

“Hum… It’s that- I was sort of mesmerised and then got scared…”

“Mesmerised by what, Linmin? By Fanqia or something else?”

The servant covered his reddened face.

“By- By you, Lord Edrick… You and your genitalia… I am so ashamed…”

“I was aroused… And a bit jealous of Lady Fanqia…” admitted the servant, making Anoteros chuckle.

“Don’t fret, once I am done with teaching Fanqia, you’re next”
